I had such high hopes for myself yesterday. I was going to get so much done. But did I? Meh, not really. I did get most of my To-Do list taken care of but it didn't feel like I did all that much. June is going to be here very soon and I will be busy with all of that and what it entails. And the big bash at the end of the month. Yikes, that is coming up quickly.

Cait is off to school today for her Theories of Personality class. It should be an easy one for her since she took it at the Community College but it didn't transfer into the 4-year. She isn't happy that she has to go to school for summer classes but I know that she will be really pleased to have two fewer classes for her Senior year. Did I brag about her grades for this past semester? I think I did, but I will share them again because I am so darn proud. Three A's and an A- which was in Neuropsych. :first:

I am off to clean this morning. I am going to see if I have anything"special" in the house to cook for dinner. It is my anniversary-- 26 years. Gary is still the love of my life and always will be. We have had our ups and downs (who hasn't?) but my heart smiles when I see him.

Love and hugs to all of you! Have a wonderful day!

Nancy- it was so cold up here yesterday that I had to pull out my fuzzy socks and was wearing layers upon layers. My ILs are on vacation out west and flew into Denver- they said that they had snow a week before. Lots of weather records lately, not that the climate is changing or anything. pfft.
You must be in hockey heaven again-- what new show did you watch?
I am not sure if we will have lots of fresh food... the chipmunks tend to grab as much as they can before we are able to pick any of it!

Trudy- that Hunter is so darn cute! It sounds like he has a mind of his own :) Are you counting days until everyone is back home with you? I bet that you are. Are you off to hike today? I hope that your weather is nicer than here, it is very cloudy and damp again. Good luck to your Bruins!

Jean- I am glad that you didn't have the bad weather that the other parts of your state got. Cait told me this morning that when Brendan was driving home from work last night, he got a tornado weather alert, this weather is absurd. How did your article come out? All sent to the editor?

I am off to the gallery, I want to see Nancy and Felis's LOs. xoxo

good morning - OMgosh the weather here was freaky and more of the same today. All day we had been told severe weather was on the way. No kidding! From 8:30 until 10:30 we were under a tornado warning - not just a watch but a warning. We did get some strong winds and rain but I think the warning because it was spotted on radar not because it was seen. Still it was crazy. Yesterday was so frustrating. I got a notice that I had not gotten my dog a license and it is not that I did not get it it is that they will not give me a license. The law states that the vaccine must go through Nov of that year. Well the rabies vaccine is not due until Sept. They want me to get it early so that I am in compliance. Well I feel I am in compliance. So I got a 35 dollar ticket. And I may keep getting them until I get him a vaccine. What a joke. So we are off the the vet today. And then my DH yells at me as he cant believe what I am saying. And says how do I know this. LOL what does he think I just made this up. Oh well! I also went to the pet store to get treats and then grocery shopping all in the rain and it sucks but I made carbonara for dinner so that made me happy. My son and I watched Songland. I am not much for watching who sings better but I am totally interested in how songs are written. The show was awesome. It featured John Legend listening. I have to say it was amazing to see how the songs changed and I really like the song his selected. It will be fun as this continues to see what songs are selected by some of the other singers they have scheduled. I also watched Blood and Treasure. I really liked it and will see if I can remember to watch it at its scheduled time. And yes tonight it game 2 of the Bruins/Blues. My girlfriend and I are going out to dinner tonight so that should be fun to catch up. And I did get some scrapping done. Busy day but glad I got it done.

Chris yes it was chilly and filled with too much rain. My DH thinks he is going to mow the lawn today. Then it will be nice like yours. But we have no gardens and Luther is keeping the chipmunks and rabbits away. Hope you don't get storms today! Thanks for the love on the pages!

Trudy that is so funny that Hunter just turns you off when he is done. These kids are so smart with technology! Bet you are counting the days down for the visit this summer. Hope you have fun on the hike!

Jean glad you did not get the bad weather.

Waving to all!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... It is really smokey here this morning! There are lots of forest fires in Alberta and I guess that is what is hanging around here since yesterday :mmph: I decided to stay home from the hike today, not only because of the horrible smoke, but because it is a hike that I have done a few times and its a long way from home! The price of gas is a deterrent also, my goodness its worth its weight in gold these days! So today I will resin a new painting that I did on one of my cradle wood panels. DH has done such a great job of making them and I love to paint on them! I will post pics when it is all done, this one is my new favorite! :becky:

Chris - Wow good for Cait! Those are amazing grades! Of course you must be one very proud Momma!! Happy Anniversary to you and your Gary!! 26 amazing years together! How wonderful! Yes we all have our ups and downs and you and your Gary have certainly had your share, but look how much you love each other! That is so rare these days, you are both blessed to have such an awesome marriage and wonderful family! Hopefully you find something delicious to cook up for your special day! Enjoy your day together!

Nancy - Ugh your weather sounds horrible!! So scary when there is a Tornado warning! We had a few of those in Saskatchewan when we lived there and we actually saw one not far from our house once. That is truly frightening!! Seems silly to me that you are getting fined for not getting the rabies vaccine early! It's not like you don't get Luther vaccinated at all!! Sheesh there is always some kind of money grab isn't there!! LOL did your DH really think that you made that story up?? MEN!! Have fun with Hockey tonight! We will be cheering loudly of course, are you hoping for the Bruins to win or do you like the opposing team? Or do you hope that it will just go 7 games so that you have more hockey to watch LOL. Either way, it should be a good series!! Sure hope that the rain stops for you soon, Heather is getting the same rain and looks like it won't stop for a few more days! :mmph: She says the farmers haven't even got their crops in yet. Hope Luther is a good boy at the Vet today!

Jean - Yikes, the sky being a green colour must not be a good thing!! I just love the mixed media piece you did called "The Perfect Little Trip"!! So pretty, I just love mixed media work! Thanks for the nice compliment on my paintings, it really means so much to me! Yes DH and I will be loudly cheering for the Bruins again tonight! You might hear us!! LOL.

Ok my Gary just phoned and asked me to go pick up some stain from the Hardware Store today, he is taking tomorrow and Friday off so he can start power washing and then we are staining the fence. Always lots of work to do around here! So I will enjoy my day doing what I want today! Have a wonderful Wednesday ladies!

I didn't finish the article (mostly hung up on the citations) until late last night but sent it and a photo to the editor. Haven't heard from her yet today. I am thrilled with my new A1c result from the lab test yesterday, lowest in forever and in the standard range! Weather continues gray and wet.

Chris, if you did your to-do list yesterday then it can't have been so little! Sorry you were cold. I'm thinking I may need a warmer shirt today. Congrats to Cait on her grades. Bummer she has to take a class over because it didn't transfer.

Nancy, bureaucracy is nutty. The fine makes it worse since Luther really has the vaccine. I know you'll have fun at dinner tonight and watching hockey. The carbonara must have been yummy. I don't watch any of the singing/talent shows, but the one you watched sounds interesting.

Have a good one, folks.
