CHEERY O
Happy hump day, O-zies!
I am not as tired as I was yesterday morning. That was bizarre since I think I had slept well the night before. Maybe the cold chilled my brain a bit too much. Yeah, I will go with that. Yesterday was still on the cool side but the sun was very nice.
Gary and I took the dogs for a walk and they both did very well. W is a dream to walk as long as she is wearing her halter. As soon as she has it on, she knows to walk calmly by my side. J doesn't care- she weaves back and forth, pulls and pants. She did better than we expected this time going for the entire walk. That is a positive sign. Maybe if we keep it up regularly she will get better.
I also spent hours in the front garden digging up the goldenrod. That stuff just took over and was blocking out my begonia. Dug out that mass of roots, split them up, and replanted them in the back sections of the side yard. I hope that they will "take" in the new areas. As I was digging them out, I "found" a tuber that wasn't growing but wasn't dead either. I have no idea what it is. I hope that it grows into something cool now that it will get some sun and space.

Tom seems very nice and Cait had that goofy grin on her face when he came to the house. I ended up giving him a hug b/c of that. My dogs loved him too and that is usually a decent tell. J especially will let you know if she is uncomfortable around someone. Heh.

I am cleaning this afternoon and that is about it.
Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

@tanteva Well. I am going to keep trying to say Urban's name as best as I can and if we ever meet IRL you can laugh at my pronunciation :D Next time I see my friend who is Swedish I will have to ask her for some help. She was born here but her father was born and lived in Sweden. She lived there when she was in college and loves it. That is really neat that Urban is a linguist. How many languages does he speak?
Good luck today at work! Have fun being around people, hope it isn't too stressful.

Kay- Aleve is my best friend sometimes, too. :p Your tree came out of the ground easier than the goldenrod! LOL I was trying so hard to be careful with their roots too. So you are putting the daylilies in the pots? They will look very pretty. Good for you listening to your body when it tells you when it is tired.

**HAPPY DANCING WITH CHERYL**
@Cherylndesigns woo hoo!!! Congrats on the wifi!!! I am so darn happy for you! Everyone is going to be thrilled. Aren't you going to miss going to the "office" Bwuahahah!
What kind of tree did you end up getting? Hope everything gets in the ground soon.

xoxo

Moving slowly today.... all that crawling around setting up the drip-lines to the pots yesterday finally got to me. Thank goodness for the large cushion-mat that protected my knees from the rocks. Spent a couple of hours working on them - with breaks sitting in the shade on the patio. I also got busy later in the afternoon hemming the heat-shielding panels for the master bathroom window. Decided to go with 4" hems on them. They actually hang down 7" past the lower edge of the window. The window is not square - lower edge has a slant downward - think that is so water would drain off. I tucked the hems up and on the lower edge which makes it look square. All in all, it was a good day. Here are some photos: dead cherry tree, the pots by the patio, and curtains.

Today is going to be a rest and recover day. I really should set up the 5 TB ExHD on my computer and download my stuff. Then I can move the ExHD over to DH's computer and start working on it. Need to get it done before my computer stops working.

Chris, hope the goldenrod survives the thinning and replanting. Glad that Caitlyn's BF made it over and everyone was happy to meet him IRL.

Cheryl, doing the happy dance with you now that you have WiFi at your house. Been a long time coming.

The coffee cup is empty and needs a refill. And a hot shower is calling my name. CYL

Good afternoon!!

I'm still doing THE HAPPY DANCE!! I keep forgetting that we actually have it!! I was sitting here last night and thought "duh, I have TV now". So I popped it on and "listened" while I scrapped. My TV has been in a closet so Chuck got it out yesterday! We have 3 outlets in this little house. Haha There were some tense moments yesterday that I wasn't sure if they were going to get it installed or not. The installers were really having trouble figuring out where the electrical was "dropped" whatever that means. He had to call in help and the two of them figured it out, finally. They didn't leave until about 6 PM. Ava got her wifi this morning! She's happy too. I haven't tried downloading anything yet. Yes, Kay @BrightEyes I'll really miss going to "the office". NOT. Hahaha I can't believe I've been doing that for almost 6 months!

Kay, your pictures look great! You've been busy, too. I love the way your curtain came out! Recover today - I remember how I felt the day after all that big planting. Chris @faerywings happy the dogs minded. Daisy does real well on the leash, but you all know that she likes to run off-leash. We really have to watch her. She leads Lila astray too. Adrienne called me the other day and asked me if I knew the dogs were down there? Of course, I didn't - Daisy is SO fast and Lila normally stays behind, but she followed the leader. Chuck went down and picked them up.

We have Lila for 5 days - Adrienne and Roger went to Lansing to see the baby. She was just beside herself - waiting until today. I'll have lots of current pictures from the trip.

Hope everybody is having a good day. Hugs

I'm home. I survived work! :D

It was really nice to work, really. See some people other than hubby & son. Went in early, had the time to do the town a bit. Found a summer dress for 30 kronor - about US$3.50 - that's an alright price for a dress. :) I was not meaning to buy any clothes but I couldn't resist that price. It wasn't anything fancy, just a sleeveless jersey dress, but it will be perfect for a warm summer day.

Fashion right now is really NOT my style. That was the only thing I learned today. Weird colors, and everything looked like something an old lady would wear to church. I'm more of a PUNK ROCKER HARDCORE B**CH type of girl. :D:D:D Guess I'll have to dust off my sewing machine if I need anything new this year.

Oh, and if you would ask hubby how many languages he speaks he probably would say one. But he's a stickler. He thinks he can't speak properly, but he reads novels in Swedish, English and German regularly. Then he can - with a little bit more problem - read French, Russian, Latin, Spanish, Classic Greek and Sanskrit. And I'm sure he could understand Norwegian and Danish without a problem. Probably a bit of Dutch, Finnish, Italian and other languages as well. He's a geek when it comes to languages.

Now I'm going to sink into the sofa and watch some crime show, and try to wind down a bit, so I will be able to go to sleep tonight. I get a bit speeded by all the social interaction I had today.
