Hey ladies. I'm soooooooo tired today so I feel some crazy rambling coming on. LOL!! I could not sleep last night and then had the craziest, horriblest dreams when I did sleep. I have been having a lot of weird dreams lately. I think it is just from stress with the move and everything going on. Plus I feel like I don't have enough time to get everything done and then I get sick or don't get sleep or whatever. Plus 2 days a week I have to go and get my allergy shots and that throws things off. Plus I have this guest book I HAVE to get done by Friday. I thought I was almost done with 17 pages done, but the company I decided to print through based on the review at
The Daily Digi (check it out...it was an awesome review) does their book in set increments and the set I want is 26 pages. So, I need to do a few more pages. I have a lot of basic pages so now I need some themed pages. I just got some photos scanned today of my brother when he had orange hair. Can you believe he went to prom with orange hair? Man...how do you not include that? I was also instructed that I had to use a pic of the bride when she was little and sitting on the toilet. It is actually a cute picture and I found a great way to incorporate it without it being the total focus of a page. So, I have a lot to do. So, I am going to do two pages and then get some house stuff done.
So, I would like to hear some thoughts regarding refinancing from you guys. I just refinanced recently...about 1.5 years ago so added $6K to our loan. I didn't really want to refi again, but need our payment lower. I can do a 3.5% 5-year ARM that would lower my payment by almost $400 or a 4.5% 30-year fixed lowering by almost $200. Or I could just leave it. My mom was also saying something about credit card consolidation programs she's seen, which would lower that monthly payment. We did make a decision about rental management though. I was only told about the 10% that the companies keep and not t hat they also keep the first month's rent each year. That is a LOT of money when we are already worried about balancing money as it is. So, Derek was talking to an Army buddy of his that has a couple of rentals. he said he'd be willing to manage our house for $100 a month...plus we have another trusted friend who said he would do maintenance for us. We would have to get a credit card for that from Home Depot or something along those lines, which doesn't go with our Dave Ramsey plan but I think it would be the smartest plan and hopefully we would never have to use it and would cancel it as soon as we got back. It just seems like the easiest way to provide money if there is a problem with the house. ugh!! There is too much to consider and my brain is all jumbly. Grrr....I need to just be moved already. I'm almost ready to let the movers just move trash. LOL!! At least we have housing figured out and will be living on post. probably very very close to Andrea. I have lately realized how awesome it is to have this online community. I know people everywhere and am able to ask lots of questions. when we were thinking about going to TX (which we are still hoping to do) I was able to get ahold of Sally and ask her all about TX too, even though we will be in a different city. Plus since I am homeschooling ethan next year Sally has been an awesome resource for me. I love it. Who knew that my wanting to be on a CT a couple of years ago and so jumping into the forums to be seen would lead to my knowing such amazing people. I love it. (I told you I was going to be rambly today...can't say i didn't warn you
)
Alright I'd better get moving on some scrapping so I can get moving on some house stuff. So let me leave some love real quick...
Chris - I am thinking about you. I'm sorry it has been such a rough month for you. Hopefully the transition from spring to summer will end and Gary will start feeling better and you will start feeling better. I can't even imagine dealing with the things you deal with and cranky or not you handle it beautifully. I am pretty darn healthy and fall apart over everything. You keep it together so well and work so hard to take care of your family. You absolutely amaze me. Just get your butt in the garden as often as possible and things will be better. I really think you should try and come to the beach with us. It would give you something to look forward to. What Linda said is exactly my thought. She's staying for a week and I am staying for 5 days. we're going to Myrtle Beach in S. Carolina. I just need to find a place to stay.
Otherwise, like Linda said we will have to just come up to PA. I think I am about 3.5 hours from Linda and we would probably drive up together or something like that. It is going to be so weird to be on the East coast. I haven't heard much about Cozumel these days...is that no longer happening? Just wondering.
Laurie - silly kids. They should definitely come visit. I hope you get to the garden this weekend.
Linda - sounds like we were on the same wave length last night. I'm sorry your SD is such a brat for you. Very not cool. I hope that Savannah gets better fast. Poor little girl. ethan used to get pink eye as a symptom of other things when he was little. Usually from a cold or allergies. I would give him some benedryl and he'd sleep for hours. Poor kiddos. Thanks for helping me with a place to stay. I found a few places but I just don't know the area to know what is good or not. I'm sure it won't really matter where we stay. It isn't like we'll be hanging out at the room a whole lot.
Chris - I know all about the neti pot. It works pretty good as does the sinus rinse. can you believe Ethan uses it? he thinks it is cool and it cracks me up. He has to watch it in the mirror because he thinks it is cool seeing water come out of his nose. LOL!!
Trudy - This weather is sucking isn't it? The weather was gorgeous this time last year. Whah!! I hope your day goes smoothly.
Molly - Have a blast camping. It is sooooooo much easier with a camper, I totally agree. I'm with you though. the packing and unpacking is not fun at all. Plus DH always just throws things in and messes up all of my organization. Does yours do that too? We are selling our camper...provided that DH gets it cleaned out and everything. Dh wanted to take it with us but it will cost more than it is worth to haul it across the country. One day I hope to get a bigger lighter one. But not today.
Alrighty...off to do some scrapping then some more organizing.
