GoooOd morning, O-Zie Os
Ya ever have a couple of days where everything you touch becomes a mess? That is where it seems like I am at now. Lots of grumbling under my breath and a few louder curses tossed in for good measure.
It was Silly Season at ShopRite, people just getting in my way non-stop, and loud music, and the dude on the motorized scooter that kept beeping as he back up over and over and over... :target:
ha!! I must be getting old and cranky and get off my lawn dammit!
Got home, read the directions on the soup mix that I was going to cook for dinner and realized that I needed to soak the beans overnight. ugh. Come to think of it now, I think I was going to cook these another time, and ran into the same issue. Too bad I didn't remember that earlier.
I decided that I needed to get outside, cold weather be damned and planted my new azalea that my IL's got me for mothers day. So i dug and dug and dug some more- all to make a hole about 1'x1'. The soil up here is so rocky and I had to dig them out by hand. But I got the bush in and now my fingers are crossed that it will transplant well.
My rhododendron is starting to bloom and my old azalea looks amazing. Seeing flowers makes me happy :hippie:
Today I am off to take Miss J to the vet for her Lyme booster, then working in the afternoon. The soup mix is going to go in the crock pot since I won't be around the kitchen to watch it-- needs 4 hours of simmering- so crock pot it is. It should work if I cook it on low for 8-9 hours? Hope so or we will be eating hard and grainy beans for dinner.
Ooooooh! I have to see if I have corn meal- I want to make corn bread on the side.
Hope that you all have a happy and successful day- and that part is directed at me, after the way things have been running so wonky here!LOL
