Happy hump day, I say as if any semblance of time means a darn thing.

Let's do some shoulder rolls this morning. Breathe in and raise your shoulders up to your ears. Exhale slowly and bring them down and back. Inhale and drop them down. Breathe out. Inhale, bring back up and exhale as slowly as you can. Good!!!!!

Yesterday was so cold I decided to not go out in the yard. Ther four of us took the dogs for a walk and it was so cold and windy that it wasn't going to be enjoyable to be out there. The dogs were very happy. Ray was trotting along, makes me so happy.
I didn't do much of anything else, vacuumed the floors really good, cleaned the kitchen counters, 2 loads of laundry.
My mom called to give me an update on her heart. She is maintaining but the Dr feels that she can do better with a different medication. He had been holding off since it is super-expensive even with health insurance. But if it helps, she needs to be on it.

Today, I am paying bills (whoo hoo) and maybe helping Caitlyn with some photos. She was going to put makeup on (first time in 2 months!) and take pics of herself in her cap and gown yesterday, but she decided to do it today instead. Scott's cap and gown should be here today too. Am I going to cry when I see them wearing that?

I really wish my mood would stabilize a bit. The shifts aren't bad, I just feel unsteady with myself. Anyone else feeling that way?

Gratitudes:
- sunshine even if it still cold
- my town has had no new COVID cases in 3 days! NJ is finally seeing a downward trend.*fingers and toes crossed that it stays that way*
- puppies and rats

Trudy- I am sorry that is it rainy but at least you have warm temps. That is good news for plants. I understand your concern about not wanting tourists traveling and bringing the virus to your island. Hopefully, people will be smart.
It sounds like the cabinets will be a process but the results are going to be so worth it! Uh- oh-- I know that feeling too, once you spruce up one area, the rest of the kitchen is going to look dingy in comparison. :D
IKWYM- My mojo is out the window and set to pasture. I can't seem to pull anything together and it is making me sad. hehe, yup-- very BIG Osprey!
Thank you so much for the kind words about the things I give. Ugh. now I am all teary again. God darn it, mood-- settle down! I guess I don't see it that way and I should. So thank you
I bet the shoulder rolls were helpful this morning after all of your sanding. Are you using a hand sander or just elbow grease? Don't overdo it!

Kay- I am LMBO at your coffee misadventure! I would NOT be laughing if it were happening to me but I can relate on so many levels. Did you sleep better last night?
I am really proud of you scrapping your journey and to see how much progress you have made. That is a really big deal.
We are worried about the birds. Gary noticed one on the ground and none in the nest. We looked at an avian rescue website to see what to do and he was able to put the baby back in the nest and the mama and dad eventually came back. There is an outdoor cat that is always on our property so we aren't sure if he got to them? We read that it is common for fledglings to spend time on the ground but we think these are still too young- we think about 10 days old?
At any rate, we know that nature is nature but still sad to think that they might not have made it.

Felis- That sounds like my typical day- lots of procrastination. one thing that lockdown is teaching me is how much I take books (libraries) and TV shows for granted. Now that I don't have access to books I am panicking that I won't have things to read. And with TV filing in hiatus, what am I going to watch? First world problems indeed. *nods*
I am happy that I am not the only one who enjoys cleaning! Good job getting rid of all of the fur but I bet it is already coming back. Mine is!
There is a saying here- something like "Grief shared is grief lessened." Keep that in mind when you are wondering if you should share bad or sad news. We are here for you!

Morning ladies... drizzly day here, but everything smells so good and the the world is nice and green! I really don't mind the rain in the spring, the temps are mild and the air smells so good. The winter is another story especially with my Raynaud Syndrome (Chris I know you can relate)! I got another section of the cabinets done yesterday, they are turning out nicely. After the section that I do today I will take some photos and show you all. I have gotten Isaac's birthday card almost done and went big with this one. I had some beautiful papers with a under the sea steampunk sort of theme that I got a while back. I will show you the card when it is done also. Then I best get it in the mail quickly so it arrives in time. Even though his birthday is not until the 16th of June, I am worried it won't be there in time for his big day. The mail is so darn slow right now!! I sent Jonah's birthday card at the end of April and it still is not there. :mmph: So a few things to catch up on here at the O today and then some more painting of the cupboards. Hopefully a walk to get the mail and some fresh air (a break from the paint fumes) and I will attempt to get my scrap page done AGAIN!!

Chris - I am doing the sanding with elbow grease LOL. But it only needs a light sanding so its not too hard on me, just enough sanding to give the primer something to adhere to. The primer really is a good one and one coat is all I need, it dries very quickly too, so that is good and then two coats of the white paint. That's the part that takes so long is waiting for the paint to dry to apply the second coat. My Gary and I will work on it over the long weekend too, so hopefully we will get lots done! Thanks for the shoulder rolls today! the perfect thing for this achy old body LOL. How sad that the kids won't have a big graduation celebration to attend  I would cry too, to see the kids all dressed up in their cap and gowns! Your babies are all grown up! I hope that the little birds are ok and hopefully the one that fell from the nest will grow up big and strong! Hooray for your town not having anymore cases! I see that China and Korea is going through a second wave. So hang on I don't think we have seen the end of this yet :mmph: Aren't I a ray of sunshine!! :tape: Hope that the new meds help your Mom out and it doesn't hurt her pocket book too much! Maybe today you will find your mojo and maybe mine is out there somewhere with yours LOL.

Kay - I had to laugh at your foggy brain without coffee! I can totally relate! Glad that you are all caught up with your memory book and it must have been very therapeutic for you! Hope you had a warmer and much better sleep last night!

Felis - I worry about the opening of things too quickly, but perhaps things are not so bad in your country as other parts of the world. Please never feel bad about sharing with us, we are here as shoulders to cry on! We try to ease each others pain whenever possible, that is just what friends do right? I hope you can find some new shows to occupy your time during your rainy days!

Alright I will get my morning things done and get going with sanding and painting. Might have to have a walk in rain this afternoon :rain: Have a fabulous day everyone!

Gratitudes:
The rain that makes the air smell so good
Lots of projects to occupy my time
Face time calls with my family

I'm so happy to have a bright sunny day for my birthday! I'm finally going to go out in it even though I think it is cold (low 50s) and look for some birds and go to a store for diet coke on sale (and buy junk food for dessert tonight.) Sunday night I got a free movie through IMDb, A League of Their Own, that I'd always wanted to see and seemed appropriate for Mother's Day (though not being mothers and not having [living] mothers, we don't celebrate it.) For tonight I've "rented" a movie that I thought about seeing not long ago at our local theater, but never did. It's "Portrait of a Lady on Fire." It's in French, so we'll have to rely on the subtitles. I'd said I wouldn't cook tonight, but now think take out is more hassle than cooking. Maybe DH would wash the dishes?

Chris, I totally agree with Trudy that you give and give in so many ways. Look at your kids who are like that and realize where they learned it. I imagine the cap and gown time will bring on the tears. But in good ways too. Wish I could give you all a big hug. and a big bouquet of garden flowers for Cait. :humble:

Trudy, maybe the mojo is missing for scrapping but your creativity is working in so many other ways. Even the kitchen project has that feel and the new card sounds wonderful (don't forget to show it finished.) I know I don't get too inspired to scrap without new photos, so that is a problem too.

Nancy, wonderful birds on your walks! And now you've got a whole new world of photos to scrap. What fun that is.

Kay, sure hope you slept better and warmer and didn't have the coffee troubles today. At least you gave us a smile with the story as we can all relate.

Felis, please take to heart what we're saying that you can share whatever you're feeling including the sad and worse. But the cleaning and sunshine seem to be soothing you along with new music.

Grateful to have made it to another year
sunshine
birds
smiling DH
you all

Ah... a nice long sleep last night. But I did have a crazy mixed up dream. In it a friend had come by to help me look for hubby who was missing for 2 weeks. We ended up traveling to Egypt, then Asia, and finally to Long Island. Yes, we have lived in all those countries but DH was always with me in RL. In my dream, we were climbing up stairways that ended in mid-air and I had to figure out how to get back down the swaying steps. CRAZY DREAMS... Was glad to wake up. I did sleep warmer last night as I put on a heavier set of PJs. No need for the extra throw on the bed, thank goodness.

Chris... it is always wonderful but hard to see the kids in their cap and gowns... I understand how it would make you cry to realize they are grown up. Be proud of their accomplishments. So sorry to hear that there is only one baby bird left... sometimes Mother Nature is unkind. Hope the little one makes it.

Trudy, can't believe how productive you have been... the Home reno's sound delightful. Can't wait to see the cabinets. Bet it looks so fresh with the white paint. Wow... can't believe how slow your mail has been... although I saw a photo on FB of bins and bins of mail that is stacked up due to shortage of workers. Which reminds me that I have a couple of bills I should get in the mail ASAP.

I am being lazy and had my cinnamon toast and coffee while working on the computer. But the clock is telling me I should get dressed and get a few chores done. Hope you all have a great day.

good late morning - getting here late as I had a nice long talk with my sister. Her state is opening totally on Friday but she is lucky in that her company is listening to the CDC guidelines and is still having their employees work from home until there is a decline in cases. But she is happy as her eye surgery is scheduled and so she will be able to see so much better. My DH took Luther out early and they saw a fox who had taken a bunny. Amazing that this kind of nature is in our town. I know sad for bunny but we have a lot of rabbits in our town eating our flowers and gardens. Got more scrapping done so that is good.

Chris congrats to your two college graduates! I hope you share photos. You should cry as it is so special. Also sorry about the robins. I believe that they can and do have multiple nesting in a season. Perhaps when it warms they will try again. The weather is getting better. I hope the wind calms down.

Trudy I am so looking forward to seeing your kitchen remodel. My girlfriend also went with a white kitchen and it is lovely. I agree rain makes everything smell so good. We are so green now. I hope that no virus comes to your island. You are very lucky to have none. I wanted to read a story from Winnipeg so I am for this month getting their news and it seems like your country is doing a great job keeping the virus under attack.

Kay that is such a cute story about your coffee. I too have been having lots for strange dreams. They say this isolation is causing people to dream more. I can believe it.

Jean hope on your walk you see lots of birds. It is so good to be out. Happy Birthday! Enjoy the movie and junk food dessert.

Felis as others have said of course you can share. Glad the kitties are so enjoying their new sun spots.

Good morning, girls!
What a lovely day I had yesterday it was sunny but windy, so not too hot. We had nice time outside at the garden at late afternoon. But before that I spend lots of lovely time in clean up and tries to figure out how one old record player is supposed to work. Unfortunately my parents aren't storage it very well, so it is broken  . My mom even found second, but in worse condition. However I cleaned it too. And dad promise when find some time to search online and see how and do he will be able to use parts from both and to try make at least one working. Even not successful this was exciting and interest project. They also keeps some old records of favorite local musicians, I would love to hear on vinyl. Back then the government is not allowed 'destructive foreign influence' LOL, so no Beatles or ABBA, as I hoped, but mom is found somehow one Elvis, sooo cool! I'm heared their stories for the collapse of communism and beginning of new democracy multiple times, but in the lights of past week it was nice to take some time with them for memories and lots of laugh.

Jean, I'm awful with the dates, and wasn't realize that it's your birthday, was so happy to see your post, as I felt that this day is somehow special. Hope that you had nice, even unusual celebration! I think you was going on restaurant usual?! Was you able to order from some favorite place? Here restaurants with gardens are opened from few days but all is so strange. I'm familiar with the smell of disinfectant, but now lots places smells like clique or pharmacy, not exactly the fragrance you'd love on diner. Or maybe you chose to cook? How was the french movie? My sister loves EU cinema.

Chris, I'm bought and not read so many books, that with this speed I'm charged for years LOL. So strange that your bad weather continue! Ohh, how cute that kids will make their graduation photos! Here they will allows students to celebrate at the yard of the colleges, but no family members and not going on party after that as it's usual. It must happen normally at the ends of the month if situation stay stable, or they will have to wait till the next month.
Ouch, so sad about the poor bird babies! Hope at least this one to survive!

Trudy, yes mails are soo slow these days, I think it's everywhere. The postgirl which is also our friend, said that she is never have so much work at this time of the year. As christmas every week, and most things are packages. The mail is less expensive than delivery, but delivery guy also is notice the same. I gues people use every chance to be connected!

Nancy, I love foxes, they are so cute! Sorry for the bunny, but that's life. We don't have any foxes or bunnies, even living near to the fields, probably because of the homeless dogs which also hunts around. Dad is saw both of them few times, to cross the same road that is our, but in part out of the town and away from the dogs.
