She did it. Caitlyn submitted the last of her assignments last night. I am so freaking proud and happy for her! It was a good end to a crummy day. It was a rough one. It started when I was emailing my SIL who had the wine glasses for me to borrow and she had a whole bunch of sad news. My heart was heavy -the only thing I could do was grab flowers from the bouquet Scott got me and wrapped them with a note of support. (She and the fam are fine- just sad news all around). Then I got to my mom's and texted Gary within a half-hour that I wasn't gonna make it, it was a s***show.#cry

I love my parents. I really really do. But sometimes, they make me want to pound my head into the wall. And sheesh-- I *know* I have limited time with them -- I don't want to be upset and aggravated when we are together. My brother stopped in at lunchtime so it was nice to see him-- he has a job starting next week, it is a contractor position but he is fine with that. He also has a 2nd (or 3rd?) interview with a company for a position that he *really* wants and I am hoping that whichever one is the best for him and the family is where he lands. By the time I got back home, I was pretty much toast. I snuggled with the rats for a bit and when Gary suggested we order a pizza, I was all in for that.
The weather looks incredible today so after I pick up the groceries, and pay bills I am heading outside and will look for my toad friends again.

Sorry that I mashed your sister andDD#2 up in my head. I am so relieved that they are both doing better, but now I remember how scary it was with DD. xo
I am pretty happy with the Pixel 5a that I have. Nothing that is making me unhappy. The only thing that I liked about the Samsung Galaxy 8 that I miss is the camera had a Pro feature where you could mess around with ISO, aperture, and shutter speeds. I didn't use it often but it make me feel like I was playing at photographer a little.

@taxed4ever Good for you to order the new headphones!! I know that you will put them to good use. Maybe I am reading my own emotions into your words but I can sense the "lump" feelings and dissatisfaction with doing nothing. At least that's how I am feeling.
I hope that the weather holds for you and that the hike is fun.

@Cherylndesigns Did you finish the LO you were working on? I didn't even touch the one that I was struggling with the last few days. Maybe today or tomorrow I will see if I can make it "work." The candle holder sounds amazing!!

Morning everyone! It is cloudy but the rain is supposed to hold off until this afternoon. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't end up soaking wet! Just a quick post from me today, I still have to get my lunch made and my backpack loaded up. I managed to get my layout done yesterday, then spent the rest of the afternoon putting together all of the chairs for our set. DH still needs to tighten all of the screws and nuts and bolts of course. I have no strength in my hands for that kind of stuff. But at least they are all put together. So then I forgot to load my layout to the gallery, so I will get that done right away. See I get easily distracted LOL.

@faerywings - Chris, I am so sorry that your Mom and Dad stressed you out so much yesterday! Also sorry that your SIL had so much sad news to tell you!! The sunshine in your day was your daughter handing in her final papers!! How wonderfully proud you must be of her! Nice that you got to visit with your brother also, I will keep my fingers crossed that he gets the job that he really wants! I still haven't ordered the headset, still procrastinating, its what I do #crazy I will though soon when I don't have a hundred other things distracting me LOL. I have to order Mason's birthday gift, get a card made for both him and his Dad whose birthday is coming up at the end of the month. Finish getting the table put together, the list goes on and on. I don't know why I always feel like I have not much to do?

Good morning ladies. I enjoyed getting out on the deck for some fresh air, drink coffee, and watch the birds this morning. What a wonderful way to wake up. We are filling the pool now, will get the liner off later today and the guy who is coming out to check the hot tub wiring is going to help us with getting the pool up and running, fingers crossed he can help us figure out what to do.

Bad news about the deliveries we have coming for furniture and appliances. We are now told June to August for deliveries. We are going to go into the stores this week and see what stock is available and maybe make some changes on what we want. I really don't want to wait that long if possible. The microwave might come in the next few weeks but we'll need an installer to mount it. We tried to install the first microwave we got and we ended up damaging it. Thankfully they are replacing it but we won't try to install ourselves again.

Today I want to get a bit more unpacking done (I've slowed down and am randomly unpacking a bit here and there, taking it more easy this week).

I've transitioned back into keto pretty easily. I'm down 4 lbs so my body is liking this. I am being really careful with red meat so hopefully my cholesterol will remain ok. I made ground chicken/beef sloppy joes with buns for D and I had a small amount with lots of slaw mixed with a mayo sauce, seeds, dried cranberries and salmon. I bought a keto bread that I love so I can start eating avocado toast. I learned a lot from being vegetarian for a few yrs and will incorporate some of that into my meal plan. I won't eat meat every day, I will eat a lot more veggies and less processed foods and will not eat a lot of cheese.

@faerywings Its hard to deal with the parent bickering. I guess that is normal for them and you just have to tune it out. I saw your toad pics (2nd posting worked), they are ugly but also so cute Congrats to C for finishing. It must feel so great.

@taxed4ever Enjoy the hike today. Bet you are glad to finally have the dining room set and getting it together.

I'm going to go hop in the shower and get on with my day. Maybe a bit of scrapping this afternoon. I honestly don't know how I managed life when I worked LOL. The days fly by and I always have more things to do, never getting everything done LOL.

Way to go, Caitlyn! I'm not sure about education system in the U.S. but is she finished with school now, or what? What will she become?

Got a text from a friend at 2.30 pm, asking if she could stop by on her way home from work around 4 pm. I just broke the world record of hoovering the downstairs + the stair. It's still messy as HELL, but I can always use the excuse that we are decluttering & sorting stuff. Of course, that's the reason there's piles everywhere, it's not the norm in this house.

Eva @tanteva you sound like me - I can "clean" SO fast! I did it this am - our housecleaner is coming in awhile. LOL "clean before the cleaner gets here."

Chris @faerywings I'm sorry about your friend and please don't pound your head into the wall. Just think of the "clean up" (the patching, sanding, painting) that will need to be done. #angry2Keep that in mind. I'm glad the sun is out - it's 82 here and glorious outside!

I got 2 pages posted yesterday - you HAVE to go look - I did a page with me holding one of the kitties. They SEEM to be very healthy - the one I'm holding is very friendly the other one isn't. They're both SO adorable, though. We think the grey one (that's in the picture) is spoken for. Adrienne thinks she'll keep the other one. She's keeping the momma cat, too. Momma, Stormie, adopted them. Haha

Gotta go - Casey's on the way and Adrienne and her friend Carey have already been here. Carey HAS to be constantly busy so she's coming back and pulling all my weeds. They're working on getting the arch up over the front walk. It's not secured in yet, but it's going to look amazing!
