14 more days. Yes, 14!!!!!!

Even if it doesn't feel like it ;)
We have snow/sleet/freezing rain on tap for today. *grumbles* It isn't supposed to stick to the roads and should melt quickly.
It was fantastic seeing my BFF. We talked for 2 1/2 hours and it always surprised me that the mgt doesn't kick us out. We each get a coffee and that is it. It wasn't crowded at all, pretty empty even at lunch rush. She wasn't having a good day either. Her cat was at the vet getting an ultrasound, he has congestive heart failure. He's 18 and will treat it with meds and hope for the best. Her best friend's DH was at an oncologist appt. I felt so bad. But we ended up talking about anything and everything and I was in a much better mood on my way home. I stopped and got gas on the way back- it was 30 cents/gal more on my way home than it was on my way down and I know it is only going to get higher. But if oil sanctions help break Putin's hold on Ukraine, I am fine with paying more. I am lucky to have a roof over my head and no bombs in my neighborhood so I think I can pay more at the gas pump. It gonna suck but better than the alternatives. :(

I have a lot to do today. Picking my groceries up this morning, paying bills, then cleaning for my friend. All while cursing loudly at the weather Heheh!!!
Which one of these will I be cursing out more, my checking account or the snow?

HAGD!!

@BrightEyes did you and the ladies have a great lunch together? Your salad sounds good (minus the raisins *G*)
The jacket looks fantastic on you- the color is perfect. What stones did you use for the necklace? Very pretty!

@taxed4ever hah! I love the doggy!!!
And look at the beautiful view of the hike! Guess what Scott was doing yesterday? Hiking of course. I don't get how he does it when it is cold but more power to him.

@bcgal00 I am proud of you for knowing when to take it easy. Enjoy your trip to Reifel today,. I am sure once you get used to the Kamloops area you will find plenty of hidden nature gems

@Cherylndesigns haha!! I can just see Ava and Caitlyn battling it out over scategory words LOL
Did Daisy get a pretty bow from the groomer?

@Lynn Grieveson How cold does it get in NZ during the winter? Good selling vibes to you!~

@tanteva hope that you either are feeling much better today or that you were able to make it to the dr and s/he got you on the right track. Hugs!

Kay-- Oh yes, family always comes first and I bet you were so happy to see SIL.

@LSlycord Awww how sweet to see Decker happy with you again!

@faerywings glad you had a nice coffee with your friend, but sorry about the snow/sleet. I prefer the former and it is always a novelty for us, but get that it would wear thin very quickly! It doesn't get that cold where I am. It showed a few years back (a few flakes) and all the government office workers ran into the street and took photos of themselves catching the snowflakes on their tongues and laughing :p. Further south it does get quite heavy snow fairly often, but here it is just grey and wet and miserable for months.

I did a photoshoot on commission a couple of days ago and now two out of three of the subjects are down with Covid, so I am waiting to see if my double masking did the trick.

Morning, gals. Another cold day here. But the sun is shining so that is good.

@Lynn Grieveson - so sorry to hear about your exposure to Covid!!! Hoping the double mask protected you. The numbers of Covid cases are falling here finally. Not out of the woods on it yet - but improving.

@faerywings So good that you had a long visit with your friend. Hope that lifts your spirits for awhile. I hear you about gas prices jumping. Glad I don't have anywhere I need to go except close by. May be able to hold off getting more gas for a couple of weeks. BTW, the stones in the necklace were different shapes, sizes in red and purple colors along with some gold metal shapes and small gold beads strung in various lengths then those strung on a round metal neck wire. I used to go the Bead shows when living in CA and picked up a lot of different beads, seed beads, and other jewelry making supplies. We also have bead stores here in NM and I have picked up supplies and taken classes from them. Haven't bought many 'real' turquoise beads as they are expensive... but have picked up some faux turquoise ones. And have a lot of cabochons in various colors and sizes.

@LSlycord Your family has a heart of gold.... to take Decker back until his 'forever family' can take him in a few weeks. Hope the peace between the dogs last until then. Yes, getting back into the full-time work takes getting adjusted again. Have to LOL as you keep adding events to your paper chain.

@bcgal00 So glad you are pacing yourself vis a vis packing and purging. Enjoy your walk at the park and hope you get a lot of special photos.

Coffee cup is empty... so better get dressed before refilling it. Hope you all have a good day.

Good Morning ladies... It is a lovely sunny morning but very chilly again. Sadly I will not be going on my hike today :( . I decided that with the gas prices soaring here now over $2 a litre I will not be going on the hikes that are so far away. The nice thing about our hiking group is that they don't care who shows up for the hikes or how often, they are a great bunch! Next weeks hike will be very close by so I will definitely do that one! Hope to get in a hike with my friend again next week too, perhaps on the Mountain right behind where we live. I am also going to phone the pool again this morning to see if they have finally gotten the boiler installed and warmed up the lap pool . I got a layout completed for the One Word Challenge yesterday, so I will get that uploaded to the gallery this morning. Not much else happening here today, so will get out for a walk in the sunshine later on when it warms up. Hunter wants me to make him a T-Shirt with a Walrus on it of all things LOL. I guess its his new favourite animal, so I will started on that too. Mason wants one with his dog Poochie on it, so not sure how I am going to accomplish that, but I will research it. He took a great photo of his dog the other day, it really is a great photo! We might have a photographer in the family LOL.

@faerywings - Ugh Chris, sorry to hear about your wintery weather returning to you!! So glad that you had a great visit with your BFF! Sad that she is going through some difficult times though! Yes the gas prices are terrible, but if it stops funding Putin's terrorist rage on Ukraine, then yes its worth it!! Gosh I hope this all ends soon! My heart breaks for those people!! Actually hiking in the cooler weather is nice as long as you don't suffer from Raynauds like you and I. Hope he had a great hike!

@Lynn Grieveson - Oh dear that is scary that you were in such close contact with Covid! Hopefully the double masking helped you out! Our numbers are falling here also and I just heard that Ontario is lifting their mandatory masking. Not sure our province will be doing that anytime soon. Do you do many photo sessions??

@BrightEyes - Yes it is good that you don't have to go to far with the price of gas these days! Nice that the sun is shining for you today! Enjoy your second cup of coffee this morning! I need to get a refill too!

@bcgal00 - Hope you have a great time at Reifel today, it sure is going to be a nice day for it! Take lots of photos, then I guess it will be time to pack up your camera too. Glad to hear that you are taking good care of your back! Enjoy your day!

@LSlycord - Ohhh I wish that all of us could get together for a lovely hike too! Then afterward we could all sit on the deck and have a glass of wine or two LOL. Happy to hear that Decker is being a good dog for you and is content to be with you again!

@tanteva - I hope you get to speak with the doctor today, or that you are feeling much better and don't need to go see him!

Ok I am getting my coffee refill and then expecting Heather to call, so see ya later!

Good morning all.

Cold, gorgeous sunny day here - 14 days til spring - thanks Chris! Glad you had a good visit with your friend. Yes, I'll bet Cait and Ava would be a good pair - I can see it now. Daisy and Lila look SO cute - all fluffy and boy do they prance when they get a bath. She didn't cut them at all just bathed and brushed them.

Lynn @Lynn Grieveson sorry you've been exposed to Covid.

Chuck's gone to the phone store - he ordered a new phone and had to take it in to get everything transferred over to it. His phone died a few days ago and he's been using mine. He says mine drives him crazy (he still had an older iPhone). I told him that he'd better get used to it because he's getting the same phone that I have. I'm going to have a lot of fun showing him how to maneuver his phone. GAH!

I'm not very motivated right now, hope I get better. Adrienne and I are going to an alteration woman later today. We both have clothes that need alterations. That will take awhile.

I'm going to sign off - maybe I'll pop back in later. Hugs to all.

Hello girls!
You may be surprised to see me here, but I had a strange dream, the old gang was are visiting Nancy @nancyr and she was take us on hockey game. I was discussing the Björnstad tv series, because I read the first book at January, but I'm not find time for the second so asked will it have spoilers, yes it have. And this is feed my dream about hockey game, but you was there and I was so happy to see your pretty faces. Chris was take even Cait. I think most of you was with family members. So I decided to pop up and see what you are doing in real life.

@LSlycord Linda, a stone fell from my heart reading about Decker! I have to admit that the law here wouldn't let him to live after accident like that. I wasn't able to read O few days after that and was crying about him and your family. Such a relief to see that I've been wrong!

@faerywings Chris, the whole March is unusual cold and snow here, so I often think about you on my morning dog walk. My friends at UK already gardening, so I hope you'll be able soon too!

@BrightEyes Kay, healthy wishes for your daughter! I'm sure you will be great company at this tough time of recovery.

@bcgal00 Rae, congratulations for the new house. Will wait pictures!

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl and I often likes our projects at Instagram, so I'm still enjoying on your lovely layouts, darling. Oh and the the vest you bought few days ago is gorgeous!

@tanteva Eva, get well soon!

@taxed4ever Trudy, sorry to hear that you wasn't able to go on hike! But I'm also kind of surprise that weather allows it?! Wait do the Walrus phase means that it's over with the dinosaurs one? Oh, your kids have new dog, what an awesome news!

@scrap-genie Jean, the message about the poinsettia few days ago brings me smile, thank you!

@Lynn Grieveson Lynn, hello, we don't know each other, but I hope that you aren't been exposed to risk!

Wow, it's so nice to be in conversation that isn't rounding around war!
My family problems are not ended yet, and unfortunately my cat didn't respond to the treatment, will start new probably next week. So nope, I'm not a good company, and I'm so tired from myself.
BUT the good news is that the amigurumi season start this weekend and crocheting and making new Insta friends is supposed to lift my spirit.
I'm miss you terribly, hope soon to buy new kit and be able to scrap again, just to can come back here!

Good evening ladies. It looks like i may have figured out my timing on getting in here. Not much exciting tonight. Decker is doing so well. And I am so proud of how Shaun is taking care of him. I am hoping that we are on our way to providing him with a good life.

@faerywings glad that coffee was good. And very, very glad that you have the countdown to spring.

@Lynn Grieveson I sure hope that you don’t wind up with COVID. Fingers crossed.

@BrightEyes I am so pleased that I can keep adding events to my paper chain.

@taxed4ever the cost of gasoline is enough to cause plans to be changed. It is sad. I hope things get better soon.

@felis so glad to see you back here. ive cried a few tears over Decker but I’m feeling optimistic right now.

@Cherylndesigns i hope you get your motivation back soon. If we can just get spring to arrive and stay we will all feel better.
