♥Here is to all of the fabulous O-ladies in my life! ♥

How are you doing today? I slept like a rock aside for more kooky dreams last night. Both dogs were snoring and Gary gave up and went to sleep on the sofa after a while. That gives me a *teeny* bit more room to stretch out. My dogs combined weigh a little more than me, but when they spread out, the percentage of bed space they take up-- SMH-- no contest. I lose. hehe.

ETA: I redid the math in my head and I now weigh *more* than the dog together. All three of us need to go on diets, me most ol all. : :eek::eek:
Not a clue as to what I did yesterday. Yoga, laundry, mopped the floors. yes, I did that. But what else? I talked to my mom, for a really long time. Over an hour I think. She was in good spirits and was very happy to hear about Cait's wedding plans. I could hear my dad in the background and they weren't bickering. Not bad, not bad at aaaalll. *sigh of relief!*
I was supposed to clean for my neighbor today but we had to reschedule for next week. Gary and I are going to look at more ovens today. He found one that has all of the features that we needed. The 12" burner- that was the one thing I *had* to have, I use that size almost every night I cook on the stove. As I am looking at it, I realize "Oh hey, this is set up just like the one we have now." Guess what? It is-- it's the same brand and the same "level" as this one. Which is good because I like this one, aside from the chance of rust falling into my food as I cook.;)
His dad gets a Veteran's Discount at Home Depot so Gary is going to ask him if we can use his acct.

I have some more CT work to do and I have my eye on a kit that I really want to get. Before I do that, I have to get myself caught up on everything else. That's my carrot.

Wishing everyone an amazing day xoxo

@BrightEyes I'm not sure if you will see this, but have a wonderful time with your boys! Hope that your hands don't bother you too much, but you *can* use it as an excuse to make them wait on you, hand and foot. *wink wink* LOL

@taxed4ever What was the attendance like at the pool earlier in the day? Personally, I prefer doing things earlier so I can get them out of the way. But if it came down to going when there were fewer people, I might lean more toward that. Maybe. Not sure. Either way, I hope that it went well for you. You were very busy, you should be proud! Have a wonderful hike, my fingers are crossed that you have good weather.
Oh, I have been meaning to ask you- what brand of hiking boots do you use? I want to get a pair soon but I have no idea where to begin. The ones that Scott buys are way out of my price range. I don't need the same quality he needs so he wasn't able to help me with that.

@vickyday So sorry to hear that your headache messed up your plans. Hope that you were able to get it under control so you could scrap.

@bcgal00 Did Remi let you have some quiet time yesterday? Might be something in the air, Whisky has been a PITB the past few days too.

Trudy- Oh, how awesome for you to have a swim lane all to yourself- are you going to keep that time going forward?
I am kicking myself today-- the last time I was at the dollar store, they had cute little plastic baskets. I wanted to get them because they were cute and only $1.25, but I didn't have any need for them so I put them back. They would have been *perfect* to use in the veggie drawer in my fridge, I never thought of that! Maybe they will be there next time I pop in, what a great idea!

@Cherylndesigns I don't know if it is a relief or if it is terrifying that you can make sense out of my rambling :rotfl: All I can say it "I'm sorry." LOL!!!!!
You are 100% correct, once I can get outside my head will be much happier and calmer. The weather might even be the reason why I am so kerfuffley in the head. I want to be outside. I can see green shoots. I want and need to be clearing out the dead stuff. But it is still too early. Any critters that need the leaf cover to stay warm will be mad at me if I take their blankets away :D
Is Casey going to be using a still to make her tinctures? I've never done that myself but I had seen some pictures of them set up. Really- just a smaller version of a moonshine still :D I have used beeswax in a lot of my salves but I switched to candelilla wax to be more vegan-friendly.
That's a great way to remember the eye drops "3 meals a day." I had a post-it on my monitor that said, "Blink." It fell off and I never put a new one up. I should

@Nonni F Framily is an awesome word to describe your family. ♥ My BFF and I have been friends since we were 5. She is an only child and her kids don't have any other cousins. so we are all one big family together. This is the 6 of them together. BFFs kids, Julia and Dylan, are on the right in each picture. I should scrap some pictures of them through the years. BFF dragged out pictures of Julia as a newborn and Scott was holding her in some of them. One that I have is Scott holding Cait as a newborn and Julia (6 monrtgths old) sitting next to him. Ahhh I am getting all nostalgic... :lovey3:

OK!! You have to stop at the knees!!!! Please tell me that your hips feel fine and you won't need them replaced any time soon :rotfl:

I love hearing everyone's happy stories too ♥
keep 'em coming, dear Ooos!

@LSlycord when does the new job start? Good luck. Here's to smooth days and settling in quickly.
@vickyday I hope your noggin' isn't pounding today and behaves itself.
@faerywings I soooo feel you on the bed situation. All four of my Maine Coons like to spread out on the bed. I have actually fallen off the side once getting pushed for more space. LOL
As for Home Depot discount just be prepared if the oven you find is on sale, the discount may not apply. Learned that when my washer broke. Big ticket items on sale already are excluded.
Thank you for sharing pics of all the kids. So awesome to be friends for so long. Family is certainly what we make it. For those of us who were bounced around a lot as kids "blood may be thicker than water but maple syrup is thicker than blood" Hence... framily pancakes every Saturday.
As for the hips... oh they're shot too, but not as bad as the knee. lol Is what it is. Age is a gift denied many... I'll take the aches.

Peace

Good morning all.

Chris, @faerywings what an adorable picture!! I love seeing old(er) pictures. So nice that you had a good conversation with your mom yesterday and NO bickering. I got out and cleaned a little in my front garden yesterday and am just about ready to get the all debris up. The plants that are coming up nicely. My Daylilies are a good 2" tall! I didn't uncover them last fall, just let their leaves die and give them protection. They're all dead now and will be so easy to clear away. I'm not sure what kind of machine Casey needs but a "still" sounds possible. Everything looks good - my hydrangeas are starting to sprout up and my ivy is coming to life. We're going to wait until the end of March to do a whole lot, but I think our winter is about over. Too early to plant seeds outside, yet - I'm not quite that brave. If it stays this warm, I'm going to try to get ahead of the clean-up though.

Hugs to all and to all who check in later.

XOXO

Morning O family and Happy International Women's Day to all of you fabulous ladies!! I have to be quick in and out of here this morning. I slept in a bit and need to get ready for the hike today. It is a gorgeous sunny morning with low lying fog. Hopefully the fog all lifts away from the lake so that we can have a great view from the mountain we are hiking today. SIL has decided to join our hike, so that is good! We will probably go somewhere for lunch afterward. Tomorrow I am being her driver as she has to have her eye appointment and needs a driver to take her home. We are hoping to hit Costco before leaving the city, it will be good to go during the week instead of the weekend for a change! Yikes I better get off this computer and get going!! Oh BTW @faerywings my hiking boots that I use in the colder months are Hi Techs they are waterproof and I love them! So far they really have been very waterproof! They are more comfortable than my summer hiking boots which are expensive Merrells. Here is what they look like and the price is pretty good! https://hi-tec.com/collections/womens-shoes/products/w-skamania-mid-wp?variant=43856667902174 Oh and just a heads up, if you buy new boots, get them slightly larger than you normally would buy, your feet swell when you hike and you don't want them getting to tight on your feet! (OUCH!!). Ok I am really running late, so have a great day everyone! :waving1

Good Afternoon,
Unfortunately the headache has never entirely disappeared! But it did ease up enough yesterday that I got some scrapping done. I'm back in my pjs today and working on sharing the pages to social media. Even had to turn down a lunch invite from DH. This, too, shall pass.....eventually!
Have a great day!

Good afternoon. Quick in and out for me. Weather is beautiful...sunny, breezy (which is rare) and low 70's. I'll take it. I have decided that there is no way in the world that late night is going to work for posting. I am exhausted by 9:00 and I'm not even working. So still working on the rhythm for posting.

Day started out bad. Coffee pot (yes, the one that we bought on December 22) was broken this morning. I needed to get groceries for supper tonight so Brian went with me to Publix and exchanged the pot for a new one. It is a Mr. Coffee and it cost $45 in December. Today they exchanged the non-working pot for one that works. You know we can't be without our coffee here. :coffee1:

I made a lemon cheesecake, have lasagna with homemade meat sauce ready to go in the oven and I'm getting about ready to get the Caprese salad done. The traffic is terrible on the interstate due to the TPC (golf tournament) so they may be late. I told her not to sweat it, I'll just adjust the start time for the lasagna. Its such a relief to have dog people coming!

@Nonni F the new job starts a week from Monday. Getting close now but I'm sure ready.
