Good morning to all of the Ooos today! And Ooos-Adjacent, of course. ;)
How was your day yesterday? Hope it was awesome. It was ^&*!@^$* FREEZING here yesterday. Just brutal. The wind was howling all day. Today is supposed to be warmer which will make it easier for Gary and Scott to fix his car. Remember when Scott slid off of the road? Hitting the snowbank cracked the windshield washer fluid reservoir so he is going to replace that today. You really need that working this time of year, the roads are so messy, and the weather has not cooperated at all. It has been either too cold, too wet, or both.

Not much happened yesterday- the biggest thing that I got accomplished was finishing Gary and my taxes, ours were easy and I just have to mail them in. The kids'- OMG, it is going to be a nightmare, especially Caitlyn's. Or maybe Scott's. Either way- SMH... I spent an hour just trying to skim over their info and it is going to be rough. Scott had a scholarship and sold some Bitcoin. Cait has her Etsy shop and student loans. I hope that I can grab Scott to work on his today, I will need Caitlyn for a good chunk of time and she won't have that until Saturday.
I checked in on my niece and she is feeling fine but is not happy that she has to be isolated until next Monday. Cait met up with her crush yesterday and sat out in the cold to talk in person. I didn't get any details yet but it had to have gone well if she stuck it out and talked in that weather for over an hour. :p
I am patting myself on the back too- I started another LO for the album that is perfect for the Quote challenge here. After I get my groceries this morning, I want to get that finished up and in the Gallery.

Wishing everyone a happy day today!

@taxed4ever How nice that the sun came out for your walk, very happy that you didn't have to head out in the rain. If you have to get wet during a workout, it should only be in the pool! The fireplace redo should be a nice project for you two to work on. You are a great team! I can't wait to see the pics you share of your yard as it begins to bloom. I am still 100% snow-covered other than the small section over the septic tank.
I hope that your ILs are able to get their vax's soon! My parents want to come up to visit soon and we are discussing the option of having them inside as long as the 4 of us un-vax'd people wear masks. It should be fine, right? I know they will wear them too if it means we get to visit longer.
How sweet how you and Hunter read together. SO cute!

@Cherylndesigns Time is so strange, right? I just want this month to speed along. Ava must keep you laughing non-stop. She is a character! Good to hear that Braden gets the garbage taken care of (it was me that worried about the bears and garbage). Tell him to be careful when approaching the dumpster and make lots of noise. When Scott was working at a restaurant, part of his job was to scare the bears away from the dumpster. haha!
Enjoy walking with Daisy!

Kay- you are always so busy scrapping, I don't know how you get so many gorgeous pages done. Oh no, I hope that your ring turns up soon. You haven't left the house in a few days, right? It has to be inside *fingers crossed*
I forgot about your Red Hat meetings. Will you start back up again once everyone is vaccinated?

@scrap-genie There you are! *worried for a bit about you again* ;) I am sorry that you had a reaction to the second shot. Anecdotally, I am hearing more people have some reaction than people who say that they don't. It seems to not last too long so that is good news. It has to be such a relief to have it done. I am so excited for you and everyone who is seeing some signs of spring, It can't be too far away from us here. Enjoy seeing all of the birds coming back!

@felis- hope that you and your family had a nice holiday together!

@LSlycord I saw the photo of Andie on FB- loved the little bows in her fur!
Didn't Syd *just* get sprung from quarantine???? FL sounds like it is a mess with the variants. Please be safe! (I know, you guys are very cautious, but it has to be everywhere, ugh!)
J has gotten chunky in the past year too, partly from lack of exercise and partly b/c we had to leave Ray's food out and she would sneak it when no one was looking. Sorry that you gained a few lbs back but that you are still under where you were is fantastic! Any luck getting a vax appt? Good luck!

xoxo

Quick in and out this morning. Got a call from #1Son-in-law at 8PM last night. Long story short... the truck they hired for the move had been in an accident so couldn't be used for their move. He managed to find a mover to come and get their furniture/etc yesterday and flew out to AZ. As he was boarding his flight, he got a message that a UPS package had been delivered to their OLD address! He wanted to know if I could go over and pick it up. So I threw on a long sweatshirt over my PJs and drove over and picked it up. Have to make a trip over to the UPS store and get it on the way to him ASAP this morning.

Good news... I found my ring! Doing a happy dance!!! My hands get cold and I keep a pair of gloves to wear by my recliner. I slipped them on last night after my dash over to DSiL's and there was my ring - stuck up at the tip of of the little finger! I cried when I felt it and pulled it out. So now it is back on my pinkie where it belongs.

Good morning ladies... A cloudy dull day, but no rain, no snow, so that is good! Got a good start on a couple of birthday cards yesterday and hope to get them completed today. No face time with Heather and Hunter as it is an alone day for Heather. She is busy applying her new resume to a few places in hopes of getting a job. She has zoom meetings with a lady that is helping her out and putting her name out there, so she gets to the front of the line for consideration. Heather has worked so hard to get her licence to sell travel. (Covid has not helped her out at all). Travel was booming when she started her courses, so hopefully soon she will have a job with a good company and people will be able to travel again! There are those that have travelled anyway of course, but man they sure are paying for it when they try to come back home to Canada! Anyway not much else happening here for me today, so I hope to get a page done for one of the challenges. Ya I know I keep saying that, but something always comes up and distracts me from my scrapping. I am like a dog that sees a squirrel LOL. Then I forget what it was that I was doing. DH is wondering what to get me this year for my 65th birthday in April. I am torn between wanting a new iMac computer or a Gemini Die cutting machine for my card making. The second would the less expensive item for sure. I am not sure that my Photoshop version would be compatible with a new iMac and I really don't want to have to start paying monthly to use new newest versions of Photoshop. Oh the drama LOL. Perhaps I will start a new thread and see if there is any info out there about the compatibility.

@faerywings - Chris sure hope that the weather is nicer for you today! Cait is a real trooper for being out in the cold and wind to visit her guy! Hope it all went well for her! I think that if you all wear masks for your visit then it should be fine to all be inside! It's not like you guys are out and about seeing tons of other people, so if your Mom and Dad are vaccinated it should be perfectly safe for all of you! It would be nice for you all to be in the warm house! Hope you get your photo book finished soon for your nephew, he will of course love it I am sure!

@scrap-genie - Jean how great to see your face here again! Yes the days all seem to be the same don't they? Sorry that you got a reaction from your vaccination, my sister did also, but good that it did not last too long! My sister did not feel well for about three days. So you got off quite lucky I think! How lovely to hear the birds coming back to your yard! The cardinals must be so pretty, we don't have them out here. :( I hope that the temps get warmer for you and you can spend some time outside and getting some birding in!

@BrightEyes - Oh Kay I am doing a happy dance for you for finding the ring! I lost my wedding ring shortly after my son was born. I was devastated! It fell off my finger when I was putting him in the car seat in the driveway and there was lots of snow on the ground. I did not notice until later in the evening that it was missing. I searched the entire house for it. Never found it until the spring, there it was in the melted snow, I saw the sparkle when I was getting into the car. I cried too!! It has never left my finger since except to be cleaned, or to have the claws tightened by the jeweller. I too am amazed that you get so many pages done! I have a hard time with picking out photos that I want to use, get frustrated and give up.

@felis - Another holiday in your country?? You seem to have so many! I hope it was enjoyable! I will have to figure out how to add my instagram to my profile, you are so clever!

@LSlycord - Ugh that your daughter is going through this once again!! Sure would be nice if they could make up their minds as to how to handle all of this ! Hope that she is ok and was not in any danger of getting the virus from anyone. Sure will be nice when everyone is vaccinated, however then there will be another strain yet again. Afraid we will have to get shots every year now. Glad that you will be getting your vaccine soon and yay for the good dr. visit! I have gained over Covid too , but trying hard to get back on track and lose the weight. It doesn't help that I am less active with no hiking, or chasing my grandkids around, but hopefully soon!!

Ok off to get another cup of coffee and do some browsing around here at the O. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Good morning again. I just "caught-up posted" in yesterday's thread. Am I keeping everybody confused today???? Then, mission accomplished. J/K

@BrightEyes I'm SO happy for you!!! I just posted to look in all of your pockets and you found your ring in a glove!! I'm SO relieved for you!!

@faerywings that's a good idea about the dumpster! Good info passed down from Gary. It's pretty freaky to think that we have a bear roaming around on the property. I just hope it doesn't come up and put it's big face right in my window! FREAK OUT!! I'm glad Cait got to visit with her crush, even if it was out in the cold. It's currently 63 here and sunny! Wish I could send some of it to you. I'd gladly share.

Yes, Ava is quite a character! She keeps us entertained and has always been "the ringmaster" of all the kids. She's not even the oldest, but she's always cracked the whip over them. They still do whatever she tells them to do. Well, they're off for Detroit today, so I have to put my "Cici The Dictator" hat on and keep Braden and Alyssa in line. I told them, last night, NOBODY in the house except for them! If they HAVE to be with their "friends" they're to come here. We'll give up the LR and kitchen for them to entertain. We're going to be making some "drive-by's".

Well, I need to get it together and work on some challenges today. Hugs to all.

Sunny today and apparently we can expect more of the same. Still chilly and a bit windy, but I'll take the sunshine. I've got something that was due in Feb. that I have GOT to do today, so just waving HI to all.

Good morning ladies. My computer went down on Monday morning but by the afternoon I didn’t even care about that. Remi ate some azalea leaves and became deathly ill. She has been in the hospital and its unsure whether she will make it. I had her home last night but then the vomiting and diarrhea and fever started up again overnight so she is back in the hospital. We may lose her in the next little while. If she does survive she could have serious liver/heart and other problems. Everything is unknown at this point. I’m not going to be online for a few days as I wait to see what happens. Please pray for our sweet little 9 wk old Aussie girl. I’m devastated beyond words. Good vibes, prayers, anything will be welcome. Thx.

I promised I would be back for the right day for a change. I didn’t get an appointment this time. I will try again on Friday morning. I guess that will be part of my new routine. I spent almost 3 hours waiting to find out that I wasn’t included. Need the smack my head emoji but I guess I will use the eye roll instead. The site refreshes on its own every 60 seconds so I just need to keep an eye on it to make sure that I am still in the waiting area instead of the book now.

@faerywings we had everything gathered up to send to the tax preparer at the end of January but here we are...I have a couple of things I need to look up and I haven’t done it yet! This weekend for sure. You are doing so well on Christopher’s book. Great job. Yes, Syd did just get out of quarantine. Florida is a mess...makes me crazy!

@BrightEyes I am so glad that you found the ring! And what a good mother-in-law you are to go out and get that package last night and then to go back out this morning to take the package to the UPS store.

@Cherylndesigns our Andie is Newfypoo...75% Newfoundland and 25% poodle. She is the most mellow dog in the world. Have any of you seen those buttons that people are using to teach their dog to "talk"? @felis I am sure that Andie could learn to talk.

@scrap-genie I am so sorry to hear that you had trouble with the 2nd vaccine, but I'm glad that you are feeling well now.

@bcgal00 I am so heart broken to hear what you are going through with poor Remi. Praying for you and Remi.

@taxed4ever how hard it would have been to try to start up a travel business and then have Covid hit. I'm so sorry for Heather having to endure that. Hope you can figure out what you want for that birthday present...absolutely a special one!

Oh my goodness, Linda, I'd LOVE to see her!! Our Daisy is a Labradoodle and she weighs 50 pounds. i love Newfoundlands!! Our Daisy is such a super chill dog - we were just talking about what a wonderful dog she is. I believe that any dog bred with a Poodle is a wonderful mix!!

@Cherylndesigns here she is. She just turned 3 in February. She doesn't realize that at 94.5 pounds she isn't exactly a lap dog.

good evening - watching hockey Bruins and Capitals. Well it has been a busy 3 days with Dr. visits both Monday and Tuesday mornings both of which I wont have to do again for 6 months. Then this am was my hair cut. I really like hair cuts and not having the coloring part. I don't mind the cost so much as the time it takes and then it is not permanent. It seemed like the silver hair was always showing through so I like this much better. I don't make a lot of comments about politics but OMgosh both Texas and Mississippi governors have lifted all mask requirements and all businesses can reopen 100%. I just don't understand how they cannot believe the science. I will leave it at that. My son and his MG came down. Ordered in pizza which was delish. The divorce is stalled as the ex knows that she cannot move on as long as he wont sign and he still wants to control. Makes me angry for the kids. But other than that they are very happy. It has been cold but at least there is plenty of sun. We still have snow on the ground but at least it is melting slowly so that is great no flooding. My Devils lost to the Islanders not surprised. Fans were allowed in and they made nice noise.

@faerywings Chris congrats on the taxes being done. I doubt ours will be filed until April 15. That is awesome that both Cait and her crush were willing to sit in the cold and wind. I bet you will be glad when you can meet. You are lucky that Scott and Gary can fix the car. Hope you get appointments for the vaccine soon!

@bcgal00 Rae I am so sorry about Remi! Sending so many prayers for her recovery!

@taxed4ever Trudy I bet you and your MG are watching the same game. Go Boston. How fun to have such a long talk with Hunter. Good luck to Heather in finding a job!

@scrap-genie Jean isn't it nice to hear all the birds singing again. With all the snow this winter the birds were pretty silent but now the cardinals and even hearing red winged blackbirds. The days are so much longer too.

@BrightEyes Kay I am so glad you found the ring. I lost my wedding ring in our bedroom and I was like it just disappeared. I have not found it and it makes me very sad! That is a bummer about the truck being in an accident. Glad they found a work around. You are a busy scrapper.

@LSlycord that is something that she is on quarantine again! And it does not make sense how they decide. Your weather sounds awesome!

@Cherylndesigns that is something that you cannot get high speed wifi. Sounds like Ava is fun to have around. Have fun with the drive-by.

@felis hope you had a fantastic time with your family on the holiday!

waving to all

@felis - Another holiday in your country?? You seem to have so many! I hope it was enjoyable! I will have to figure out how to add my instagram to my profile, you are so clever!
@taxed4ever Well! The beauty of ancient history! Many battles to mention and add to historical also religious holidays, so yes, I think it's a fact (I'm almost sure) that we are the European country with most holidays. Unfortunately not all are not working days!
February 18/19 is our Martin Luther King day equivalent Day of Commemoration for Vasil Levski, March 1st Granny March day (old folklore tradition), March 3th The Liberation Day, and March 8th Women's day, which is real holiday here, with flowers and gifts not only for mothers, for everyone just being woman, or determine themself as female.

OK, let me see, as I'm add my Instagram at the old forum form. I think you should go at Signature and just add some IG icon as a picture, and then link it with your profile. Mine is hosted here
myfVi5HN0ZL6h9w03Lzc_qttbF2qXSZsXa-sG1RwVJtJqwgn_1nRF3pCS4qHr_TQJACfQw=s30
, but you can use any form and size! I hope this helps!

@felis I am sure that Andie could learn to talk.
@LSlycord I think you're right and I'm afraid that her english will be better than mine! o_O:D
She is adorable, and so fancy with her hair clips!

Edit: Oh wait! It's not the same thing! I was taught about these app that is supposed to translate bark in human speech. Now I googled it and the buttons are more logical!
