:brrr: It is cold here this morning. I can't wait until summer when I don't have to wear layers upon layers. It makes me shiver and laugh at the same time when I do yoga floor poses in my bedroom. The air feels so much colder down on the floor, probably because the BR is over the unfinished basement. The back corner of the basement has a boulder as part of the foundation, no insulation there. But that isn't the weirdest thing about my house. Before we put the addition on, tree trunks held up sections of the attic. Not living trees, that would have been **really** weird. ;)

Dontcha love the way I get totally sidetracked just saying good morning and it's cold outside?

Did everyone have a happy and productive day? I wouldn't consider mine to be all that productive but it was a good one. I talked to my mom for over an hour and we covered a lot of topics and plans. She is coming here on Friday and we are going to go over some dates to go down the shore in Sept. She was cute, she couldn't stop talking about Sam. She and my dad met them in PA for lunch before the kids headed home last week. She was asking Sam about colors for their new front door, busting on each other about silly things. I commented to Scott yesterday that she never talked about the other one the same way. He just smiled.

I spent two hours making the darn dog treats, took me longer because W decided she needed to be in the kitchen under my feet, licking up the crumbs I kept dropping off of the counter. I crocheted a few rows, ripped it out, tried a different size hook, ripped it out, and went to the first hook. This is another reason why I can't crochet anything complicated. I go by how things look to me, not by pesky specifics like gauge. Can you imagine how it would look if I actually tried to make a sweater? hahahaha!!

I am picking up my groceries and then some Rxs and then I am technically done for the day. I skipped yoga yesterday, my neck and back were more than a little twingy and I didn't want to mess with that. I have some videos for back and neck pain so I might do one of them. I hate the sound my neck makes when I do gentle rolls.
Who else neck sounds like glass breaking or popcorn popping when they move?

WWW - Wishes and Wants on Wednesdays - basically anything you wish you could do/get done/dreams/etc - "I wish the laundry faery would come to do my laundry" and things that you actually want to make happen that day - "I want to finish the laundry"

My WWW is that I really wish the weather would be warm enough to spend some time outside. I want/need to work on my Garden Planner before the season begins and I start moving stuff around again.
OK- just added that to my to-do list

@LSlycord Awww, thank you! Isn't Teddi so freaking creative? I think she did a fab job turning me into a Kelpie Gal ♥
Sounds like you have some nerve damage or inflammation in your should/elbow/arm. Good luck with the PT. Remember to go nice and easy.
That makes me wonder how Kay is feeling- I hope that she is feeling better too. If you read this, we are thinking of you @BrightEyes
Hang in there with work :hanging: I hope that you are getting into your groove quickly.
Argh!!! Good luck with finding Shaun's returns, if you used TT you should have the PDFs saved on your computer? *fingers crossed*

@bcgal00 Lucky you to have a built-in bird-alarm :giggle4: I shouldn't laugh, 4.30 am is way too early to be dealing with noisy birds. Noisy anything.
I looked super-quickly at cooling blankets on Amazon and they are made of bamboo fibers that absorb body heat. Not a clue how or if they work but they aren't very expensive (under $50 US). Maybe that will help Jen?
Why is everything so expensive (rhetorical LOL)???? But a retaining wall isn't something you want to let go... I am glad that you have a cushion to help cover the cost but sheesh- it would be much nicer to use it to plan for a cruise next year :/

@taxed4ever You are so funny!!!!! "My Bouy Toy" is the perfect name for your kayak! :rotfl: Love. It!! I am really excited for you and Linda, you are going to make some wonderful memories and experiences together. They sound like they are easy enough to bring places like your ILs too.
I don't even know what to think or say about more shooting here. It occurred to me yesterday that all of Scott's wilderness first responder training didn't cover bullet wounds. He is in the woods a lot and while there is no hunting on County land, State land (which allows hunting during seasons) often borders County land. Then I realized that he was probably less likely to be shot/treat someone shot than Caitlyn is on a school campus. :soapbox: Mess up. All of it is so messed up.

@Nonni F That story was funny and relatable. I am very sure I've done similar goofy things. I have PS CS2 Visual Encyclopedia that I keep on my desk. I've been using CS5 for years but that book helps me out with a lot of things to this day.
Isn't it awful when side effects from the meds feel almost as made as what they are supposed to be helping? Hope that the knees feel better and that the pain-relief *lasts.*

Big hugs to you :hug2:

love to you all!
LOVE your new sign!
Your "boulder in the basement" reminds me of a Dick Van Dyke show where they were looking to buy a house with a boulder in the basement! But tree trunks in the attic is a new one, LOL!

Good Morning!
Quick in and out for me today.
I've been quiet and quite busy for several days.....
Knitting a new sweater
Trips with my BFFs
Laundry, bed making, dishes, cooking, yada, yada....
Knitting.....Knitting.....and more knitting! I'm almost done with the first sleeve and then have one more sleeve to go on this sweater.......

My cowl doesn't look like this one somehow, but it works for me!
Mark wants to go to lunch again today (2nd day in a row!). He isn't busy at work so needs a boredom break!
Have a great day!

Morning ladies... quickly popping in to say hello and then off on my hike. Backpack is ready to go, lunch is made and I even have the bed made already! I am organized this morning, usually I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to get ready. It is a beautiful sunny day and the lake is like glass, so it makes me sad that I won't be out in the kayak today, but there will be many more mornings like this one.

@faerywings - Sounds like Scott's girl is a perfect fit for the family!! Isn't it wonderful!! Hope that the weather warms up for you soon! Yes you are right that things are sure messed up! Who would have thought that we would all be afraid of our kids getting shot at school??

@vickyday - Wow you are such a busy knitter!! Love the new sweater!! Hope that you have a lovely lunch with your man today!! Enjoy the time together!

Ok I have to get dressed and find my fav hiking socks, pack my repellent and then I am outta here!! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out to Walmart in a bit with D. Then later this afternoon I'll take Remi to the dog park. Good thing I looked at my phone calendar b/c my eye specialist appt is next week, as is my haircut. Don't know why I thought it was this week. Good thing I didn't just show up at for the appt LOL. I can't tell you how many times I've done that, and it is worse now that I am retired. Every day is the same LOL.

The flicker was at my window this morning but not until 8 and now has disappeared. So I am glad it is not every day at 4:30. It was so cute yesterday, the male was at the side of the house drumming and the female was at the front of the house, drumming back with him. They kept it up for quite a few hours. I got photos of them.

@faerywings neck cracking??? me!!!. My neck cracks all the time. I have arthritis in my lower neck so need to stretch it out a lot and it cracks, as does my wrists. My whole body is a mess but at least I can get out of bed in the morning and walk, my knees are pretty good aside from the odd twinge here and there. Have fun with your crocheting, I was terrible with gauging too when I used to knit/crochet.

@taxed4ever Enjoy the hike today and I love the name of your kayak! That is perfect!

I'm getting another coffee, will try to ignore the incessant drumming of our flicker (the female disappeared this morning so he is calling to her). HAGD everyone.

Hello everybody,
I'll pop in quickly to wish you a nice day. With us it is now 8:00 p.m. or 8:00 in the evening. I am now using Google translator because the test phase of my previous translator has expired and I would otherwise have to pay 25 euros per month. There's another way, isn't it? It's still very cold here, too, and it's raining and raining or it's snowing. So I can't do anything outside at all. More time for new design in my layouts. I'm very proud. Maybe you'll take a look at the gallery and you'll like it. Chris might discover a resemblance to one of her works... So, greetings and make yourselves beautiful!!

@faerywings Neck cracking? Me too!! The long professional life as a secretary has not done my neck any good. And at home people continue to sit at their notebooks... I also have suspicious squeaking and clicking noises. I can't even quickly look for a great man. What a silly thing! My dear family doctor, who carried out a neck massage himself in such cases, unfortunately passed away. And doctors today don't have time for that anymore.

HAWD everyone!

Good afternoon, everyone! Look how productive everyone is!

Tree trunks in the attic sound cool. Like a Swiss family Robinson effect... or just really shoddy building? LOL We had a stone foundation in the house we grew up in.. .whenever it rained too much the water poured in between the stones. Pretty sure it's not supposed to do that.

@faerywings I don't like that there's a need to know these things... but as far as bullet wounds.... TAMPONS. Always carry tampons. They are great for bullet wounds... and while not as many folks smoke these days, in the military so many people did.... a cigarette pack is good for a sucking chest wound. That's all I've got.

@taxed4ever Love the kayak name.. that's awesome.
