Happy Hump Day!!! But, why oh why is it not Friday yet? :D

Crazy day yesterday. I dunno, Phyllis, is it somthing in the air with daughters? :noidea: Mine had a complete meltdown yesterday. Two hours of tears and hysteria about school projects, grades, ASK test, high school, no friends, Lyme, and not being "part of the family" two years ago. Half of the time, I didn't even know how to respond, except to tell her that being 13 sucks.

The woman I cleaned for yesterday has 2 boys 7 and 9 and asked me if it gets better as it gets older. Yeah..... No. I told her it just gets "different."

Hopefully a quiet-ish morning here, I want to do some scrapping and gallery loving here. Then after lunch I am off to meet my BFF for coffee. It has been 2 months since I have seen her.

Laurie- bet that heated steering wheel and seat felt amazing yesterday. It was really cold here too. 27*! What happened to the 70*'s ?

Linda- I hear ya on the dropping into bed! Many times, it is my favorite part of the day.

Good morning Chris. Every since seeing your layout with the freebies, I picture you sitting across the table from me while we chat! Someday, my dear friend, someday! Have fun at coffee with you IRL friend today. And meltdown...I hear you. Except mine was the boy last night. Ugh...didn't want to do homework, didn't like his stupid sister, hated being in this wretched family. Finally, I told him that we were done, he could work on his spelling words in his room alone or he could not work on them. After about 45 minutes, he came to me very quietly and said that he was sorry and asked for help with spelling words. He also told me that he was very sorry but he had sneaked his DS while in his room. (He was on no screens and no TV at the time.) I was so proud of him. The emotional roller coaster of being a mom!

And our weather is still lovely...the 10 day forecast has the lowest high of 60...and some as high as 78. I'll take it!

Isn't this birthday bash a blast? I'm having so much fun...wish that I could just sit at home and play all day. Alas...it is not to be. As soon as I finish my cup of Kona coffee, I'm off to the showers!
 
morning wonder moms! I am so not wanting to go to work, however, I will go and I will do my best, I will try to accomplish what needs to be done without complaining. Then I will come home and plan what to do on my day off- oh the possibilities. I did enjoy the heated steering wheel yesterday. I am really enjoying the hands free blue tooth talking-and the messages my car gives me- yesterday it told me ice was possible to drive carefully- my car loves me! Breezy and warmer today, the dog will get to have an outside day. I will get to buy groceries after work- I will take dinner with me, or go buy lunch to reheat for dinner- that sounds even better.

orthodontist appt for elyse! we'll see what the game plan is for her....i know the dentist suggested pulling some teeth....so we'll see what they say...but i know i will refuse to put her in braces til she has all her adult teeth cause really i dont want to have to put her through that twice! and no pulling of any teeth til school is out LOL

Chris: thanks!!! some days i have to make myself do it but i know if i don't then i'll slip back into my old routine and i don't want that at all!!! my daughter had a melt down yesterday too!! girls!!! hope today is quiet for you!!
Linda: it IS a blast!! glad your weather is beautiful!!! what a proud moment for you though with your son!!! isn't it great when they realize that what they did was wrong and correct the problem without needing to told?!?!
 
Good morning ladies... My goodness you all are super moms in here!! Kids with meltdowns, oh how I don't miss those days!! Sometimes I can't believe I made it through those wonderful teenage years!! :faint: Had a wonderful day off yesterday and now back to work and off to get groceries after work. New neighbors moved in last week and they want to build a fence to keep their crazy little dog in their yard and keep the kids in as well. So we are going to pay for half, so do not want to spend this money, it was supposed to be for new curtains for my kitchen :rant: So far I am not liking my new neighbors!! They also want to install a hot tub in their backyard, right below our deck , right where we would be able to see them??? I sure hope this does not happen!!! Perhaps its time to think about downsizing and move?? But oh I don't want to leave my view!! So much for our quiet neighborhood! Why is change so hard for us?? Is it because we are older and don't have kids anymore?

Chris - You are already a super mom so I guess one of your wishes has come true!! As for having all the right answers? Well I'm afraid no one has those my friend! :hug: to you, I think you rock!!

LindaS - You must be so proud of your boy!! They do grow up and get over those wonderful temper tantrums believe it or not!! You must have done something right to have him act like such a grown up!! Kona Coffee Yummmm, could you pour me a cup too??

Laurie - I want your car!!! I hope you have a great day today and I bet you are looking forward to your day off! I know I love mine!!

Kristy - Glad you won't get the braces too early, seems like a waste of money to me when all those young teeth are going to fall out anyway!! Keep up the great work on the excercise, you are awesome!!

*cries* i might be loosing paint shop pro tonight.....karl wants to revamp my computer....its been having all sorts of issues....and i no longer have my disc to reinstall it (my mom borrowed it and lost it grrrr) so yeah....this might be the end of the road for me for the layout making for a while

Have you tried GIMP? Maybe that can hold you over, since it is free?
 
yeah i've tried gimp....wasn't too fond of it but i did find a newer version of paint shop pro on amazon for NINE DOLLARS!! (original 79.99) so i downloaded that trial to see how it worked and its very similar to what i have...*yay* i ordered it LOL it will be here friday haha....but i dont know if any of my plug ins will work for it ohh well....i'll have the basics at least LOL
 
Let my day off begin! Today was a long day. I am going to get my relaxing on and see what has happened in the gallery!
 
well computer is all reformatted now!!! its like having a brand new computer LOL now if only i could afford to upgrade to windows 7 LOL
