Hehe-- get it? like Waiting for Godot?
I know, I am bad at jokes. :caked:

But seriously, we are still waiting for the snow to get here in North NJ. All of the schools are closed, including Caitlyn's. I was outside with the dogs at 5 am, and then again at 7 and you can tell the difference in the air. It now feels like snow.It was supposed to start overnight, then at dawn. Here it is 8 am... nothing. Maybe it will pass us all by.
Snowfall totals have been changing non-stop as well. I have heard everything from 3-12" and more in higher elevations in the last 24 hours. So who knows what will happen? :noidea:
I used to joke that I should be a meteorologist because what other occupation can you be wrong so often and still have a job? But I kid. I am sure that the science behind it is difficult and frustrating, especially how the weather patterns are changing along with the climate.

Yesterday was an odd day. Cait and I finished her taxes, now everyone is all done. I scrapped a LO. Commented a lot here.

All in all, a quiet and somewhat cranky day.
My fingers and toes are all crossed that I don't have the same today.

Hugs!!

Ugh, I am wasting so much time, I am cold so I am curled up in my chair which means all of my limbs are stiff and it will take ann effort to uncurl them and my foot is asleep and that won't be fun either.
:blah:

However, in the time that I was complaining, I see some snow starting to fall.
Is that good? Not really, but at least I won't see a gazillion angry Facebook posts about how the schools closed when they shouldn't have. So not really a win-win nor a lose-lose but more like a meh-meh. :pound:

Felis- yes, Happy Vernal Equinox!
I saw the issues with the challenge and it looks like there have been suggestions on how to work around some of the problems. I think you posted one too? Like I said before, my brain hasn't made the connections between avatars and members just yet. I have similar problems with the newer brush .abr files. I can't use them in my ancient version of PhotoShop.
I hope that your tulips do ok under the snow.

Trudy- The gallery really is amazing isn't it? I was able to get the first 2 party challenges done so far. Have you looked more into the activities with the grands? Don't forget to have a Bad Weather Back-up Plan :rain:
That is wonderful to hear that Hunter is feeling better and how nice for Mason to have a special day out.

Nancy- is it snowing by you yet? I see that your area is going to get way more than mine.
What a mess with the refs! You are right, there is no reason why calls should be made based on what part of the season it is.

Jean- Last I saw, Nicole had posted pattern files that could be used instead of styles and Astrid said that if that doesn't work to just use the template. I am sure that whatever you do to best complete the challenge will count.

I am off to get some breakfast. Have a fun day!!!

good snow morning, day and evening - My town is to get between 8-12 inches. It is snowing on and off between hard and light since around 7 am. My Devils lost badly last night 6-2. My so called starting goalie gave up 4 goals in the first before he was pulled. Then back up gave up 2 but he was good. Now there are two days off while they fly back to Pittsburgh for a Friday night game. My team is barely clinging to the last wild card spot by 1 point over the Florida Panthers. But I still have confidence that they can win enough to get in. Got a lot of scrapping done while watching hockey. And I have embarked on a new sort of project. I take photos most days I am out so I am going to be doing a few pages with my favorite photos of each month. I got my January pages done. Now I can get the photos off my computer and to my back up sites. And my hockey pages are all caught up so I can get them off my computer too. Yea. And now with my faster internet I can do it faster thank goodness. My DH and I are going to be taking Luther to the park for a run in the snow. I did not think I was going to need my hat and gloves again but according to the weather man we can get snow but usually stop around Easter. Oh good April fools day and it will probably be a huge snow storm. So today I have both boys home. The NJ Governor has declared a state of emergency so if you don't have to drive then don't. Good think my son can work remotely.

Chris yes I read that you should be on the lower side of snow totals for a change. Good luck with that. Have fun with your fur babies and kids.

Felis glad that the challenge has been fixed so all programs can work. Happy spring to you and glad some one is having spring weather.

Trudy hope you are having fun with kids!

Jean glad you are not getting the snow. Glad for you too the challenge has been modified. And you are correct no one wants to follow the rules these days.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... I slept in a bit and so will have to make this quick. Hike today is out toward Honeymoon Bay, so I need to get my pack ready and get going soon. It was supposed to be a cold rainy day, but so far its looking pretty good. It will be nice to get out of the house and get some good excercise and fresh air!

Chris - Sorry that you are going to be getting more snow, I hope that you can spend the day scrapping and just keeping warm! The kids come on friday night and I talked to them yesterday, we will be playing some board games for sure if the weather is not all that great. They both said that they would love to go on a hike with me, so that should be fun! We can pack a lunch and spend the day outside!

Nancy - I meant to say to you yesterday that I totally agree with you about the calls against the Bruins the other night! I read your post to DH and he said you were spot on! He is very impressed with your Hockey knowledge and so am I !! :first: I hope that you have a great day getting your new project underway and that you don't get the amount of snow that they are predicting!

Sorry ladies I really must get going, or I will be late for the meet up at the trail head! Posting my page for the second birthday challenge and then getting out of here :bolt: Have a great day everyone

We had enough snow during the night to turn everything but pavement white and now that new snow is all gone. Just the fringe of that snow for us. Hate to say it, but we have seen plenty of snow in April over the years, so don't get too sure about this being the end. But maybe?

Chris, sorry you are so cold. Hope you don't get so much snow but have a good day with family. And I loved the LO with W pix and all that purple which looks so nice with her brown coat.

Nancy, sounds like you really will get the snow but if you and DH can enjoy going out in it with Luther, should be fun. I was so surprised to see how close to the cut off the Devils are now. Good luck to you all on making the playoffs. I enjoyed seeing your January MOP. Felis and I are doing weekly pages in sort of a similar vein. Know what you mean about moving photos off the computer!

Trudy, hope the weather holds for the hike (or your new raingear comes in handy). Always look forward to hearing/seeing about the places you go. How nice the grands want to go with you hiking.

Felis, oh, no! Not flu. Well, you'll take care of yourself I know and get plenty of rest.
