Ready to breathe with me again? let's go! *innnnnnn and ouuuuuuuut*
And again...

That is better.

I hope that everyone is having a good morning/day so far. I am doing relatively ok since I woke up at 2 am and struggled to get back to sleep. I have a couple of good sleep meditations that work 99.99% of the time. Last night was the .001% that it didn't work. I grabbed my phone and played a word game, then the puzzle game. Then I tried a different meditation. That worked a bit, where I was in that state of sort of being asleep, IFYWIK?
Did anyone do anything special for St Patrick's Day? We did not but we typically don't. I will make corned beef- it one of the very few times I will eat beef- but the cabbage and potatoes are part of the food order I am picking up tomorrow.
BRB, need to take the dogs outside. :)

It is chilly out there but the sun is shining and I am doing yard work today! :whoo:
I am wondering if I should order seeds and seed starter kits this year. I have no idea if things will be better to get out to nurseries by the end of April. Now is the time to starts seeds indoors if I am going to. I have terrible luck with seeds though.
I see that a lot of have our party avatars on. That makes me happy. I hope that the party here makes everyone happy.

Mental health is going to be an issue for many of us so I ho[e that you don't mind if I share positive info and articles that I found helpful and hope that you do too. One I read this morning was this one “Our calm is contagious”: How to use mindfulness in a pandemic
This part here was especially meaningful:
The single most important thing that can happen right now in this pandemic is that we feel our collectivity — that we’re really here to help each other move through this. And the truth is each one of us can help. We have a real gift to offer each other just by who we are and how we come forward. If we can find an inner refuge of calm, our calm is contagious.

My gratitudes for today:
-dogs and rats. and a dog who loves to watch the rats. W is fascinated by them and will lie in front of their cage for hours.
-the weather and that I will be able to be outside
-my family and my O-Fam

What are you grateful for today?

Kay- did you end up napping yesterday? I hope that you slept better last night.
Oh my goodness, what a fantastic find of all of those videotapes. I am so happy that you have them.
If my brother is able to get my parents set up with Facetime, I might see about setting it up on my end. But I sure don't want to be the one teaching them how to do it.
I hope that you don't end up with any snow.

Trudy- I bet you are helping Heather and the boys in more ways than you know- it is also really good for you as well. Is your Gary working FT at this point, Jonah too?
Are your ILs all hunkered down?

Jean- the photos I have of myself from 2006 were making me sad-- I have aged so darn much in 14 years that it was depressing me LOL It makes me happy to see my old girl- she was my baby. Her ear stuck up like that until Ray chewed them. I am sure that you have a good photo or two from that time of some birds.

Rae- you are too darn CUTE! I love your avi- makes me smile. I am so glad that you got Taz his food. I know he has issues with that. We ordered 2 big bags for our girls last week and if we run out they can/will eat Dog Chow but I know that he can't. Cait was able to get the rat's special diet as well so we are good to go.
My town's FB page is 99% updates on what the supermarket has. I hope that you are able to find meat since I know that you and Trudy can't a lot of other foods. Is D able to work from him or is her furloughed?

Felis- you look adorable in that photo! Do you still have that kitty? He is so fluffy! Have fun dancing!!!

Good morning, ladies. D came home yesterday, anyone at higher risk (him b/c of his Crohns) has been told to stay home and just handle phone calls and place orders. He has equipment installs that need to be done over the next week or so but other guys will handle that for him. Jen has been placed on limited hrs. As a manager she has to be there a few more hrs than some of the other staff but they are only open for limited times and that may change at any time. Many retail stores closed yesterday completely. There aren't many businesses open around here now. I'm going to try to get into Costco Fri morning when they open and today will pop into Safeway to see if they get any meat in. Still no beef to be found anywhere. I got a few tins of tuna so will stock up on that when I can find it. We won't starve if food is scarce for the next little while but would like to stock up on a few things, not knowing how far this is going to go and how much worse its getting every day. But I feel better today knowing my animals are taken care of for awhile, I've got the food I needed for them yesterday. There is no goat kefir (for Taz for his immune system) but I got lucky and the guy was bringing out a case of goat yogurt as I was standing at the cooler so I was given 2. I watered it down and Taz is drinking that. The probiotics are less in this but its better than nothing. So, yesterday was a successful day of getting a few essentials.

Today I will get as much desk work done as I can as I've been really slacking off b/c of all the driving around I've been doing, looking for food. By next week my workload will decrease by half or even more so I'm happy for the work I have now b/c my pay cheque and D's will greatly decrease after this wk. But I can't stress about that right now b/c there is nothing I can do about it.

So, if I get lots of desk work done this morning, I am going to scrap a few LOs later, I need some "me" time to relax and forget about what's happening out there.

What am I grateful for?

Thank goodness for scrap therapy :) We all need an outlet for our anxiety, our fears during this unpredictable time.

I'm also thankful for Taz, he gets me outside for some enjoyable walks, makes me laugh and showers me with love, my sweet little doodle boy.

My family is healthy and I am especially thankful for that.

So, I'm getting to work now. Yesterday was kind of my meltdown day but today I feel fine, I feel ready to deal with whatever happens in this crazy time and need to focus on work. Hope you have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone! It will be another lovely sunny but chilly morning! I was in such a low mood yesterday afternoon  Heather is having a difficult time finding some of the groceries that she needs for the boys! I sure hope that when she calls today, she will have some better luck! Hopefully Jonah will be able to stop at a few different places on his way home from work and get what is needed. Not sure why this is bothering me so much, I guess I just wish that I was there to help out more. Heather's brother is wishing that she could bring the boys to his place and they could wait this out together and the kids would have so much fun playing. Sadly there is no way for her to get there and our son has been told not to travel anywhere. I am sure things will improve soon, they have to right?? So I did not get much accomplished yesterday, I did do a couple of sets of coasters and a lid for a glass canister. They turned out very pretty! I was trying to get an App loaded to our andriod tv box so that I could watch Crave TV, but that was not working and I got frustrated and mad and gave up :mmph: I did go for a nice walk in the sunshine in the afternoon, it was good to be outside in the fresh air! Signs of spring everywhere, but the cherry blossoms are no where near as beautiful this year. Too chilly out still I guess. Heather is supposed to see the doctor today, to get a few forms filled out and they emailed her and said that when she is outside the office to call them and then they will call her back and let her know when she can come in. They don't want anyone sitting in the waiting room. Really not necessary for her to go at this time, so we will see if she goes at all.

Chris - Nice to see your pups from 14 years ago! I am still working on my new AVI and should have it posted this morning. I was in such a bad mood yesterday that I did not have it in me to get any scrapping done or much of anything else. Yes my Gary is still working full time, however they are no longer going to the court house and instead are doing a few things that need to be done by phone. It is pretty quiet at work for him now, so he is getting caught up with a bunch of things that have been put on the back burner. So that is one good thing about all of this LOL. Jonah is also working full time as his boss who is also his Uncle had to have open heart surgery last week. So Jonah is in charge and has been quite busy with lots of jobs to do. His father will be helping him out all day tomorrow as he has a large job to do and needs a bit of help.

Jean - Yes the looking back fourteen years has been kind of depressing for me too LOL, I do not have many photos of myself, but do however have a few from my 50th birthday party so I will use one of those. I will have to check out what you have decided to use for your AVI.

Rae - I love your cute AVI! So funny to see you as a brunette, you are such a cutie! Hope that you get your work accomplished today, because like you say it might not be busy for you for the next few weeks. I hope that you are both eligible for the EI that the gov't will be offering. Not sure how much longer DH will be working either, but I suppose that crime will still be occurring and exhibits will still have to be dealt with. Sounds like the border is totally closed to visitors, so I hope everything is ok at your trailer. Hope that you are able to get the groceries that you need and thankfully you have what you need for the pets! Not sure what is closed in the way of business here in Duncan as I haven't been downtown for days now. Hope you get out in the sunshine today!

Felis - Awww I just adore your sweet little black kitty, what a lovely photo of the two of you! Yes we will all have to keep dancing and singing what a great idea!

Well I have been on facetime with the boys for 2 hours again this morning, we played hide and seek and read stories and had a picnic in the boys room  Tomorrow the kids are going to their other Grandma's place to have a picnic out near the pond on their property, sure hope that they have nice weather and get in lots of exercise! Have a lovely day everyone!

I am thankful that my kids and grands have their other grandparents with or near them to help out. I am also thankful for the beautiful sunny day we are having today! Grateful that so far DH and I are healthy and have everything that we need!

Hi and I wish I could figure out how to stay on track. But with the boys home it is crazy. Also I have started watching Downton Abbey I know I am late to the party. Not sure how people waited a week to see the next episode but now I am having to do that with season 5 of Outlander and its the pits. Any way I am so hooked on Downton Abbey. My son's girlfriend's parents sent home with him ST. Patricks day food for us. How cool. Glad they like him. My DH and I got Luther out for a long walk. I think he needs the breaks from his online courses. Had a great talk with my sister in AZ and they are a lot less stressed than we are. They have so few cases but I told her the responsible thing is social distancing. She agrees. I have been cooking and the Blue Apron recipes have been yummy.

Chris that is terrible about the person giving "fake" virus report. Glad it all worked out well. It is so weird having such an early curfew. The first person in my town was confirmed yesterday. My town is pretty much shut down. I wonder if by the time this is over will I have long hair and be back to white hair again.

Trudy glad you can help Heather with the boys while she does what is needed. Good thing Jonah can help. Sorry about the pool. Glad you had a good walk.

Rae that is really nice that your DH's company is taking care of there employees. Glad you will have time to scrap. Hope the doctors keep you some what busy. Hope you can find beef soon! Have fun with Taz.

Kay a PJ day sounds lovely. That is wonderful you found all the tapes. I need for find a way to salvage my old tapes. I am reluctant to send them to some where but I may as I want to hear my sons voices when they were kids.

Jean I am sure you are busy with all your genealogy studies and art.

Felis enjoy sleeping late. Have fun with the pets.

Love the new avatars everyone is showing.

Have a great day.

I am grateful to be able to get out.

Been a busy day already. Had to drop off some bills at the outside mail dropbox at the PO as I missed getting in the neighborhood out-going mail. Plan to stay in from now on - just going down to the mailbox in the neighborhood.
Just talked to DD#1.. she is back from AZ and didn't bring the grandkids back with her. Who knows if travel restrictions could begin and their parents didn't want to take a chance of the kids being stuck here. Haven't heard from my cousin this week so not sure what is going on about her move.

Yes, Chris... I did get my nap yesterday. Just after I had supper, I sat down in the recliner and woke up 2 hours later with my eye-glasses still on and holding the book in my hand!!! Then got a full night's sleep - so guess the body knew I need the rest. Almost forgot that it was St Pat's day yesterday... didn't do anything special. Enjoy the corned beef/cabbage dinner when you get the meat.

The clouds are moving in and getting colder out there. The wind is picking up so glad to be inside before it gets worse. Looks like winter may show it is still around even though Spring is only a couple of days away.

Rae, good luck on getting caught up on the work. Sorry that D is in a high-risk group but glad that his work is letting him work from home. Glad you managed to get a few essentials.

Trudy, glad you got a few art things done. They sound so neat. Since I was looking through the VHS tapes, I realized that I had plenty of movies to watch as my VHS tape player is still in good shape and hooked up to the TV. Hope you figure out the app to let you watch what you want.

Have loved seeing the photos from 14 years ago... yes, some of us have changed since then. I couldn't resist using the fun photo of me and hope it gave others a laugh.

Nancy, glad you are enjoying catching up on some of the series you like to watch.

Felis, that is a lovely photo in your Avie... thanks for sharing in the challenge.

Call coming in from son... CYL

We were out a bit yesterday with DH going in for his regular blood work, we went to the bird seed store as we were running out of seed and in the evening we took advantage of a local restaurant doing carry out as they had a corned beef and cabbage dinner. Boy was it good! Today we're a bit at loose ends but DH transplanted some iris that he missed when he moved them last fall. I've done some scrapping with old bird photos. Our current puzzle is a fun one where we are now down to the final tough part of all white background.

Chris, guess you are eager to get that grocery delivery! We'll try grocery shopping tomorrow. Hope we all get what we need. Thanks for the opening of your posts now. I need that. If we really do get some warmer weather I know you'll benefit from being outside.

Rae, good luck with finding beef! That is so strange. Glad you got stuff for Taz at least. Hope the docs can keep you in some work and that D manages remotely - great that he can do that.

Trudy, you do get to have such fun with the boys. I'm sure that also is a huge help to their mom. Fingers crossed they get the groceries they need too. and the warmer weather briefly. Was today a better day for you? Things that don't work easily are such a pain, but maybe you got it.

Nancy, long walks with Luther must make life more pleasant for him and you and DH. Online classes must be a strange change for DH. Our paper had an article today about food deliveries like BA as possible alternatives for folks. Sure has always seemed like a cool thing for you. How neat you got St. Patty's day food too.

Kay, wow, having access to a player for the tapes is amazing. Do look into a local service (we have it at some library branches) where you can convert your own tapes to digital. One day we'll be able to access things like that again. Nice you got a nap and a good night's sleep. Bet your cousin isn't going to be moving anytime soon with travel discouraged.

Felis, I love the photo of you and the kitty! Both adorable. And yes, keep dancing!! And soon it'll be party time here.

And I'm grateful...
for the corned beef and cabbage dinners last night, so unexpected
and for birds to watch, even if just in the yard
and everyone here at the O
and ebooks from the library
and all of us so far OK

Hi girls!
I'm not sure, but maybe I'm awful person. Is it bad that I'm enjoying so much on the current situation? I care about what is happening, of course! And if I had religion I would pray twice a day about the all affected people.
But in the same time I'm so pleasant with my ''Me-time''! I'm close to realising my dream for 24hr sleep. Will only wake for water, and Instagram. Instead of very busy time, all artists are online now and in past few days I'm text at IG with some of my most favorite creators!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and when I opened my O profile this morning, my mailbox is filled with gifts! Yes, I'm doing the happy dance! :flypig:

L O L, here is how the kindness works, It's obvious that I had awful acne back then when this photo is taken, so I guess all the compliments are for my kitty, but still thank you so muck for the lovely words!

Jean, love your grateful list, mine is pretty similar:
for mom's pancakes for breakfast, and for bees to watch, even if just in the yard, and everyone here at the O, and all books from my shelf wich I procrastinate so long, and all of us so far OK!
I'm so happy to see that you have nice time!

Kay, it's bad that most plans are messed now, but better to bet on sure instead to sorry later! Hope that things will come down fast and kids will can come from Arizona to visit you at the summer break! It's getting colder here too, I can't believe that before 2 days we was sunbathing and watching the bees at my garden, compared to the freezing morning today.

Nancy, good reminder for me as I'm not finished the last seasons of Downton Abbey! I love this show! I'm worried that my british friends, just like your sister, just started to realize what happens. My country is somewhere of the middle of emergency as we are still able to visit food stores, post and banks, but most other offices was closed for 2 weeks.

Trudy, you are always so elegant, love your new AVI! But I like you more as a blond! This is something I was misunderstood, as I left with impression that you will go to see the kids and help till they are at home. Oh, bad that you can't! I hope that Jonah will be able to find the properly grocery products! Is it important for the kids to be stuck to their favorite brands? Mom tolds me that some kids are vey ... hmm what is the english word for 'evil eating' mmm... maybe fastidious, and they refuse to try new tastes.

Rae, fingers crossed to be able to take your "me" time to relax and this to increase your mood!

Chris, oh please share positive info and pics, and everything that makes you smile! This is exactly what we all needs now!
Nothing special for St Patrick's Day as I'm still very furious that the love of my life the irish actor Colin Morgan is got secretly married!!! What to do now with my life?! Hope this is fake news! :drama: I'm just kidding, we typically don't celebrate this, so no nothing.
No, unfortunately this cat is not with us anymore. Her loss was this which put me in long and deep depression. Never in my life I am not love other person (human or pet) more than her. But now when I'm comfortable with my pain I love to scrap her, yes exactly because she is so fluffy and charming. And right now I have pretty similar tom cat. But he isn't sociable at all  .

Hugs girls! Stay safe and look on the bright side of life!
