The winds are sure howling this morning, the power just flickered a couple of times. I yelled "Don't even think about it!" and so far, it's listening. If I go MIA, you'll know that I was eventually ignored. Ha! It's brutally cold and I'm wondering when Spring is going to feel like Spring. My town is famous, however. *winks* Apparently, we made the news.

Up The Mountain
Where I Live

The second video is literally where I live. You can see the dinky ShopRite and TJ Maxx I go to and the Elementary school my kids attended. It's like a quick 2-mile "tour" around the center of town. (*coughs* and what a town center it is. ). Up the mountain is a couple of miles north of me and they always get slammed harder than down by me.
Overall, my house got about 4-5" but it was hard to tell because it was blowing around. One side of my two-car driveway had maybe two inches, and the other side was well over 5". At least it should melt tomorrow, I think we might hit 50*
Cait left for a conference this morning and thankfully is going south to MD. She is going with a bunch of her colleagues so she should have a good time. Scott is still out there "camping," he and Caitlyn texted a little yesterday so I know he's there. That's reassuring haha. Very busy too, apparently.

Other than picking up my groceries, I have a quiet day. Gary is still working hard on the software updates for the arcades which means I rarely see him. He comes down for coffee occasionally. :coffee1: I have a few housework tasks (yuck) and then scrapping and crocheting are on my list. I have three more rows to go and then sew the cowl up. Just in time for a wool scarf to be way too warm to wear *G* (Please let it be way too warm, pleeeeeeaaaasssse)

Here's our topic for today:
WWW - Wishes and Wants on Wednesdays - basically anything you wish you could do/get done/dreams/etc - "I wish the laundry faery would come to do my laundry" and things that you actually want to make happen that day - "I want to finish the laundry"

I wish: that it was sunny and warm so I can get into my gardens.
I wish: I was somewhere warm on vacation and getting pampered
I want: to catch up on my scrapping today

xoxo

@vickyday Thank you so much for your confidence in my coordination and that I should be able to figure out how to knit. You are too kind. And I mean it, way too kind about it! I tried knitting but can't make my hands do different things at the same time. I tried to play piano and never could do that either. I hope that it warmed up by you. I would *love* to know where spring is too- it was much, much warmer in Feb than it is now.

@LSlycord 48* must be frigid for you this time of year. That's very exciting to see the hummingbirds. How was your walk?
Bwuahahah!!! Thank you for trying to find out the grout cleaner, but no worries, I got an old toothbrush and some elbow grease.
Please tell @Su_Sanne we are thinking of her.

@bcgal00 Hope that you had a nice time on your errands and at the dog park. Were you able to bring Taz too or is he mostly comfortable staying at home? Give all of the furbabies some kisses from me.

@taxed4ever Guess what??? I am so excited -- I bought hiking boots!!! I got the brand that you and Rae have and should have them by Monday. I used Amazon GCs for most of it (I do all sorts of rewards and surveys for Amazon GCs and that is like my mad money/Christmas gift money. I cashed in another one yesterday and figured it was time to get them)
WTG on getting to the pool so (very) early! Enjoy your hike today and your visit with your ILs afterward. Stash a bottle of wine in the back of your car in case you need some sips on your way home Uh-huh.
#crazy-2
BTW--I am 100% JK. Save the wine and enjoy more than a few sips once you are safe at home.;)

Love and hugs!

Good morning. It's 45° here this morning and the sun is trying to break through...but so far, no luck! Sydney made it home yesterday around 1:00. So that first is over...I now know that she can drive 2 1/2 hours at a time when on I-95 and survive. :giggle4:
She then fell asleep on the sofa with her feet on my lap for about 90 minutes and I enjoyed every one of those minutes. :beatingheart:

A nice slow paced day here today. Think I have my office set up so that I have plenty of room for both scrapping and working.

@faerywings so fun to see your town this morning. I kept thinking that I hoped that Cait didn't have to drive in that today. Then, after they kept showing the roads plowed, I finally remembered that is part of life up north. It did take me a minute to remember that however.

@bcgal00 I would be looking for those sheep daily. They are really cool!

@taxed4ever to tell you the truth, I think that I will be much more organized and have more time when I am back to work. Not that I'm advocating that. :rotfl:

@vickyday hope it is starting to warm up in NC and that the day with your widow lady friends was a good one.

Good Morning Ladies!
Another cold day! :brrr: :brrr: :brrr: The high for yesterday was 42! And the wind was a killer making it feel MUCH colder! Looks like we are in for a repeat of that! My wind chimes are singing! It is currently 33 at 9:45 a.m. At least the sun is shining beautifully! #clap We need a sunshine emoji!

No plans for the day other than waiting on my knitting needles so I can get this show on the road to finishing my sweater! I sure could use it today! Hopefully/but not really, I would like to wear it at least once before I have to put it away for the year, LOL!

Had a great time with the widows yesterday, as always! The pastor's wife told us (she sat at our table) she had spent the last 4 days cooking and recooking the menu, tweaking it to get it just right! Her husband said, "yes! We have a 55 gallon barrel full of sausage balls!" LOL! I created a couple of pages yesterday with the pictures I took. I forgot to get a picture with Ilene in our threesome, however. But I have lots more with just Ilene and me. Carolyn doesn't really like to have her picture taken but she humors me! ;)

I think I will do a couple of designer challenges and posting yesterday's layouts to the CT Tracker and social media while I'm waiting on Amazon to bring me the needles! That's my Wishes and Wants Wednesday! ;)

Have a great day! #coffee1#coffee-2#coffee-4

I love hearing about the closeness you share with your kids! I had one boy (the youngest) and one girl (the oldest) who were touchy/feely. The 2 in the middle.....not so much!

Morning ladies... just popping in for a second to say hello and hope you all have warmer weather soon! It is a sunny, but chilly morning. Hoping the temps warm up for our hike! I need to get going right away as the hike is further away. SIL Linda will be joining me, so I need to pick her up. I ended up doing a lot of baking yesterday and didn't even get to sit at the computer at all. Went for coffee at my sister Wendy's and had a nice visit with her. Then home to get supper ready. So no scrapping, no painting. I will be gone all day today also, so another day of getting nothing accomplished, except getting some fresh air, sunshine and exercise! So that makes me happy! Anyway I am running late so will sign off here and hope your day is filled with creativeness!! :waving1

Good morning ladies. I was out all day yesterday, shopping and taking Remi to the park. I picked up my new glasses at the mall and within a few days the sunglasses should be ready. I like them (red frames with dark gray transition lens). The sunglasses are opague clear frames with mirror lens. I found some summer pants/capris at the mall and they are all comfy linen or cotton so great for the trip and for the hot summer weather here. I have found that if I see something here I like I can't wait to buy it b/c it'll be sold soon. Being a small city they get less stock than the Vancouver coast does and my size always get sold out right away (size m (6-7), shoe 7-7.5). But yesterday I got lucky with finding my size. The sneakers I ordered should arrive by the end of the wk. I have everything I need now for the trip except for a sun hat which I'll buy there if I see it. I haven't seen anything here I like. I'll bring a ball cap (from my jogging days) for the safari trip and boat trip.

Chatted with Krystal this morning (my eldest) and she wants to come out for a visit so if she comes while we are away, the girls will have a good time, having the house to themselves but it'll be nice if she waits to come out when we get back from our cruise so we can all visit together. But if she does come while we're away, I know she'll come out later in the summer.

This morning I have a dentist appt, then will go for a walk through the park with the camera.

As for WWW, I'd wish for the snow and ice to melt so we can move into spring. The dog parks are a muddy icy mess right now.

@faerywings That's nasty looking weather. Enjoy your day with your crafting.

@taxed4ever Enjoy your hike with your SIL.

@LSlycord Glad S made it home safely. Enjoy the quiet day. We are averaging 25-30ish morning and afternoon around 45 so sounds like similar weather to you. Enjoy your scrapping today.

Remi is telling me it is time to get outside. Gotta go. HAGD everyone.

You are blessed to live close enough to your sister to enjoy coffee with her!
