Hmm, what a weird day it is starting out to be.
It is Pi Day. Stephen Hawking has passed away. RIP. It has been 1 month since the Parkland Shooting and kids across the US are walking out of classes in protest/awareness. The US Sec of State was fired over Twitter yesterday, possibly due to his speaking out against Russia who is involved in an assassination attempt in the UK.
And... *drum roll*.... I am going to DMV.

Ever have those moments when it feels like the entire world has wobbled on its axis a tiny bit?

We ended up getting about 4" of snow which is more than I wanted but less than what would make me :boom: The sun was out in the afternoon and that helped melt the stuff on the roads and driveway. I spent most of my morning cleaning my tiny office. It isn't large-- only 8x8" but there is stuff crammed in every last corner. Of course, all of the wires are tangled under the desk and there was still a lot of Kibs fur under it all.

Scott got his other W-2 so we entered that into his tax forms and dammit-- he owes even more now. I was hoping that the deductions he had from that job would offset the no deductions for the other job. So he went from owing $100 to $300. Trudy, I might just have to steal your screen name!

Oh, and I found out that my friend's mom passed away on Monday. :( This is the friend that we were with last week during the storm. The mom had Alzheimer's and was not doing well, but still very sad. I always take a step back and have to regroup a bit. Almost all of my friends have lost at least one parent. Makes me very blessed but also worries me about when that show will drop in my life.

Gary and I are going to DMV this morning and then the farmer's market next door for some fruit and veggies. I really should get my blood work done as I am 2 weeks overdue again. I just hate it so much! Not the actual draw, but having to keep going.
This seems to be the month of me procrastinating on everything.
:eek:hwell:

I am going to post this since I am going to need to put makeup on for my lovely photo. We aren't allowed to smile in NJ anymore for license photos which makes everyone look like they are in a mug shot.heh.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Felis- I was lucky a few years ago. The woman I had cleaned for had these enormous plastic barrels they were getting rid of. They gave me two and Gary made on into a compost bin and another into a rain barrel. I hope that you can find a way to do that too.
Banana peels for your roses? That is cool! I wonder if that will work for my azaleas.
(PS-- In my little Faery World, there is *never* enough talk about gardening!!)
Your advice is well taken about talking to people in my supermarket. I live in a small town and ShopRite is one of the only big places to work. Everyone knows everyone else's business. Me from now on ~> :tape:

Nancy- My town's school were closed, the roads were so slippery. Cait is non-stop grumbling about her Spring Break being nothing but cold and snow.

Trudy- fingers crossed that the weather is good for your hike today! How Is Heather doing? Boys?

Hi, Jean!!!

Tammy- welcome to the Ooos!! We love having new people come and chat with us! Where do you live, sounds like the PNW. :)

Did you ever do that, just after the rain is stop you opened the window and left this fresh wet air to fill the whole room, till all become so cold that you can feel it with your bones. So you sit against the window and watch the small part of the world that is under your control, but actually your minds are far far away. I hate politic! I try to not watch news, because every time when I did it I sorry for that. The foreign policy situation around my country is aggressive right now and easy can become dangerous in near future. I know it's stupid to worry for something that you can't change, but it makes me feels grumpy and pessimist today. I'll bring in better mood tomorrow!

Chris, so sorry for your friend's mom! Maybe for the mom will be relief to left her mind prison, if there really have afterlife, but it's so hard for her childrens with sure! Maybe Gary will keep you in the right road, and you finally will can completed all these boring tasks. Honestly, I don't know did banana peels will works for azaleas, I'm not much skillful in gardening, I just like to be out :).

Trudy, it's always difficult to keep attention to some so active little guy, especially online when you can touch and hug him. Maybe you have to try not to read a book to Mason , but to tell a story and to add some interactive elements, like puppet show or so, when he to make chooses, so to stay occupied. It's so cute how you try to babysitting them from distance! My family don't show emotion, so even if Heather isn't told you directly, be sure she appreciate this highly! Hope your weather is better than here, because definitely is not for hike.

Nancy, sounds good plan to take a some 'me time'.

Jean, hope the doctor visits was quick and everything is in norm!

Rae, ::grouphug and you know the rest.

Actually Mediterranka shared with us that the sales will be from 16th, but the O Birthday challenges will start on 19th, did I'm understand this correct or?! :ear:

good morning - had a good walk with Luther. The sun is shining but the wind is blowing so it was a tad chilly out. But it felt good to be out in the sun! We barely had any snow and I am grateful. The roads and sidewalks remained snow free so it was pretty nice. I do feel bad for New England! I think we all want spring to come. I stayed up and watched hockey. There were awesome games. Trudy that come back by the Bruins was awesome as it kept the Hurricanes behind my team in the standings for the playoffs. Then I watched the AZ Coyotes play the LA Kings. The Coyotes went up 3-0 but the Kings are a good team and tied it late in the 3rd period but the Coyotes won in a shoot out. It was so fun to see. Both of the goalies were rookies. Coyotes goalie came in because the started got sick and could not play. Now today my team plays in Vegas. With my team out west I am having to stay up late. Most teams lose in Vegas but I would like my team to be the exception. Going out to dinner with my girlfriend to Panera's. That is always fun. It is very cool to see the students protesting violence by walking out of school.

Chris good luck at DMV! Glad all you got was 4 inches. Sorry for the loss of your friend's mom. You are very lucky to have both parents alive. That is a bummer for Cait to be off on spring break and not have spring days to enjoy!

Felis yes when I lived in the desert we always opened the windows to let in the smell of rain. It was not really ever a cold rain but it sure smell good. It is still one of my favorite scents. I have never heard of banana peels for roses. I am glad that I don't have to catch rain water. And I have not one single gene that says I should garden. I do like it at all. When my DH and I moved to Wisconsin we were shocked at how much people talked about gardening and what they are planting and how big and how to put up a fence. But I am glad that there are those that love to garden.

Trudy I really have to thank those Bruins for their come back last night. It was amazing to watch. I still am shocked that the Hurricanes coach did not call a time out to stop the momentum. Now I need the Bruins to defeat the Panthers! That would really be helpful to my Devils. Hope you get to the hike!

Jean glad you just got your dusting. Hope the appointment went well.

Tammy welcome to the O.

Rae sending hugs!

Have a great day all!

Good late morning ladies... no hike for me today as it looks like it is pouring rain where the hike is. I can see all the way up the valley toward Youbou, my old home town and wow the clouds are black and ominous ! Here it is not so bad with some patches of blue sky. Funny how the weather can be so different, the clouds come up the valley and seem to part and go in either direction. Guess that is why this is called "The Warm Land" by the natives. So I have already had a facetime with Heather, Hunter and Mason. Mason was showing me his Easter Eggs that he has been painting, some beautiful artwork :becky: Heather tries her best to keep him busy doing crafts etc. She can't get outside with him so he has to do something other than watch TV! Poor Hunter has a fever this morning and is out of sorts and Heather has a bad cough, but no fever, the sickness never seems to end in that household. Last night we got a txt from a friend in Saskatchewan, he is a huge Bruins fan and we txt each other when the games are on. Anyway he was telling us that a friend of Heather's whos parents are our friends was killed yesterday. He was driving into the sun and drove right into a train, he never saw it. He had just gotten engaged and has a 2 yr old little boy. So, So sad  His parents must be devastated!! So many of Heathers friends from Outlook have died, it just is so tragic!

Chris - Yes today I do feel like the world has tilted on it Axis a bit! Glad that you did not get as much snow as you thought you would, and the sun was shining so that is a bonus! Ugh sorry that Scott has to pay more to the Gov't! We will have to also I am sure, hence my user name!! LOL. Sorry to hear about your friends Mom, she is released from her tortured mind, but still so hard to lose your Mother! I miss mine so much! You are blessed to still have both parents and they are so good to you! Hopefully Cait can find something interesting to do during the rest of the spring break! Good luck on your trip to the DMV and the farm market!

Felis - Oh I love the smell of the rain! Especially if it is just after a hot dry spell! Thanks for the suggestion on puppets to make the story telling a bit more interesting! Mason would probably love that! Now to find some puppets LOL. I hope that you are feeling happier and at least you realize that you really should not worry about things that you have no control over! Still it is difficult to listen to all of the negative things happening in our world!

Nancy - Wasn't that an exciting comeback by the Bruins!! We couldn't believe it!! DH was wondering why Chara was leaving the game, when the team came alive and decided it was time to win the game! So fun! I am sure the neighbours heard us cheering! Glad that we were able to help your Devils out! :becky: My brother and SIL were at the game last night in Arizona, they sent us selfies of them in the stands, lucky them! Have fun with your girlfriend at Panera's, such a great tradition you have with her! Enjoy!

Rae - Of course still sending you lots of good thoughts and prayers!

Jean - Hope the podiatrist visit went well for you! Look forward to hearing how your day is going today!

Tammy - Nice to see you here at the O! Hope that you feel like joining us on a regular basis!

Ok I need my second cup of coffee and will try to scrap another page today. Got one done yesterday for up coming release. I need to get in the gallery too! Have a great day everyone!
