Yay!! Spring is not too far away! I always breathe a sigh of relief when I make it to March. This year was one of the easiest ever too, usually, I am *miserable* trudging through the winter. Even shoveling the snow yesterday wasn't absolutely awful-- even if it took my hands several hours to stop tingling and burning. We got more snow than I had thought, at least 5" but it's all melted from the roads and driveways. I bet the sun will melt sections of what is on the grass today. I say grass as if the patches of weeds/mud/rocks/moss counts as grass. LOL
Scott, Sam, and I did the majority of the shoveling, and even in the cold, Sam cracks me up all of the time. She has an FJ Cruiser and she climbed onto the roof to brush off the snow. Picture a 24 yo, with bright blue hair tucked under a red hat, standing on the roof of a royal blue truck surrounded by snow. :giggle4: She is fun. They were able to go to my ILs and can't wait to hear about their night.

I was good yesterday and started our taxes. In fact, I technically am done with them but want to ask my FIL about one Tax Form we got. I want to make sure I have it entered correctly and I know nothing about 1099-Rs. I'm pretty sure it is right based on my Googling, but just want someone to reassure me a little.

I have to pick up groceries this morning and that's the only major thing I need to do. I am all caught up on laundry and Gary is supposed to be making homemade pizzas tonight so I don't have to worry about cooking.
I should scrap another page for Christopher since I didn't do any yesterday. New challenges are up, maybe I can feed two birds with one handful of seed. (That is Cait's version of 2 birds, 1 stone and I prefer it as well)

Wishing you all a wonderful first day of March!

Today I have no choice but to be quick. I *will* log off by 8 am. ;)

@BrightEyes Did the smaller brace feel better overnight?
*fingers crossed that DSs are able to get their travel schedules sorted so you get to see them soon!*

@LSlycord woot for a nice, clean, and shiny house! Hope she did a great job.
ACK!!! Your folder names! :rotfl:
What day does the job start, you still have a couple of weeks? You will be ready, I promise.
I know-- the past year and a half were so awful for him, much, much more so for Sam. I am bottom of my heart grateful that he got through everything and is happy now. The two of them are better together. Makes my head spin when I think about it too much.
I worry about your family a lot where you are. :(
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SYDNEY!!!!!!! You're going to see her today-- give her a hug from me!

OK-- I feel like I must be talking in riddles for the newer folks. Here is a very quick and dirty rundown of what happened. Scott was dating LL (Loser Leah, barf) and Sam was engaged to Ian. Ian and Scott were best friends since 7th grade. Sam and LL were best friends too. Sam's younger brother was killed in a car crash Sept 2021. Soon after, LL and Ian started cheating on Sam and Scott but no one found out until Christmas evening and everything went Kaboom. Eventually, Scott and Sam realized they had feelings for each other and after a really long time of not putting any sort of label on their relationship, they become"official" last October.
Ha. so much for "very quick."

@vickyday Glad to hear that Ilene is back home. Tell her that your O-Friends are sending her get well wishes.
Sorry to hear about the laptop, I am glad that you had a little time to prep and backup.
You are awesome with keeping up with the housework, Who needs kitchen fairies anyway? They would be nice though if they actually did their jobs LOL

@taxed4ever Good for you getting to the pool on Monday. Rain on top of snow sure makes a mess. It does sound like it would be hard to hike in the muddy trails today :(
Do you have any pics of Hunter's painting yet? I'd love to see the progress.

@Nonni F No worries about feeling behind with the chit chat here- this is a no-stress, no-pressure zone.
(as I look at the clock and see I only have 1 more minute if I am going to keep my promise about logging off at 8.
Looks like I am not going to make it. Oh well, Guess I can try again tomorrow :floorlaugh: )

The snow looks pretty enough in pictures... I guess. hahaha. Another foot of it coming too? Ugh.
Wow, your father is a patient man, I can't sit still that long for anything. His photos are worth the wait.

@bcgal00 what the heck??? A bomb was found? OMG, what an experience! *tries to pick my jaw off the floor*
Do they have any suspects or motives? Thank goodness you are ok and that you got out of there before you ended up stuck there. Never a dull moment with you, eh? I loooooove Arline's reaction. :rotfl:

@Cherylndesigns I am so jealous of your weather. I was happy yesterday, I did 20 minutes of yoga after all of the shoveling. But that's not as kooky as you going on the treadmill after all of the yardwork ;)

BWUAHAHAHAHA!!!!! What a story of the wedding!!!!

OK, I am only 10 minutes late, Sorry for my typos!

Good morning! For all of my cold weather friends, it is March and it really is the beginning of spring!

Yesterday was consumed with the cleaning lady. I stayed in the office most of the time that she was here. And she was here for 9 hours! You read that right. :mopping: She scrubbed those tile floors so hard. I'm telling you that our house looks like it is brand new. I have never had a cleaning lady like her. I kept telling her that she had done enough...through the translator on her phone...but she just smiled and kept going. I gave her a big, big tip!

Today we are heading to Gainesville for lunch to celebrate her 19th birthday. Going to buy her a box of Crumbl cookies before we go down. Always look forward to giving my girl a big hug!!

Quick personals because I need to get ready to leave soon.

@faerywings I love the picture you painted of Sam on top of her car scraping off the snow. And the picture that I REALLY love is how happy Scott and Sam are. I will be sure to tell Syd that you wished her a happy birthday and one of the hugs comes from you. She can't understand how I have so many friends that I've never met. ;) I start work on March 20 so 2 1/2 weeks left!

@vickyday I did find a keeper for sure. She will come every two weeks. And I am so impressed the way that you have jumped in and figured out the Mac! Congratulations on being able to get that first page completed.

Ok...got to get going. I'll be back later today!

Good Morning!
Had a rough night Monday night so was in bed by 11:30 last night and up at 7 this morning after Mark left. Made the bed, put away the dishes from the dishwasher, packed away the old laptop #annoyed, coffee is in hand#coffee-4 coffee is in hand and I'm ready to begin a new month of new challenges (digital and otherwise):giggle4:

I was able to purchase PSE2023 for Mac yesterday and actually figured out how to get a page done after some head banging .
Now I just have to figure out how to get some of my usual online stuff set up. I didn't get some of my user names/passwords written down like I should have and I can't get back online to my bank. I may end up having to go there physically! :stupicpc:

I must be off! Have a good day, all!

WELCOME MARCH!!!!

Morning all. YES... the smaller brace worked!!! No stiff fingers this morning!!
I ran a few errands yesterday - public library, post office, Senior Citizen library, bank, grocery store, and dollar store. Ran out of steam and the wind was picking up so headed back home with a quick stop to pick up mail at the box. The title for the new car came in! Think that is the last paperwork for the car. Glad I stopped at the Dollar Store... they had the specialty bread in stock so got several loaves for when everyone is here. Had just enough room in the freezer for them. I love the oat bread and the multi-grain one. Never did get to the laundry so that is my main chore today.

I talked to DD#3 and she is slowly recovering - still has a scratchy throat. Everyone else in the family has caught it, too. So not sure if she will be coming down to see the boys.

Off to get another #coffee-2 and then look at the new challenges!

I am so happy to see this month leave us!! Today is blue sky, but very chilly and I will have to check on the hummingbird feeder soon to see if it needs to be switched out again. I have two of them that I keep filled and warm and just switch them out when one gets frozen. The hummers appreciate it I am sure! Not much happening here today, I need to get the coupons out to the winners of the last months challenges and take a look at the new challenges to see what inspires me. No hike for me, there is too much snow and it is too far away, not sure if it has been cancelled or not, its a high hike so there would be lots of slippery snow to tread through. I will most likely go to the pool tomorrow as Thursdays are usually a bit more quiet than Wednesdays who know why?? Tonight we go out for dinner with SIL and her boyfriend for his birthday and I am happy to not have to cook tonight!! :cloud9:
I am sure that Heather will be calling shortlly so I will try to get this done before she does, otherwise I will be at least another hour finishing off this post :busy1:.

@faerywings - I am so happy for Scott and Sam!! Isn't it wonderful that they are so happy together! I can just picture her on top of her truck, too bad you did not get a photo!! Hope you get everything you need at the grocery store and that your FIL can help you feel more confident about having your taxes done! I will get a photo of Hunter's painting soon, its almost done so maybe one more sitting and it will be complete.

Heather is calling so I will come back later to finish off!

Good afternoon. I didn't know if I'd be sore today, but I'm not. YAY. I tend to overdo things - a lot. I thought about you yesterday, Chris @faerywings I was sweating outside and you were all shoveling snow. Linda @LSlycord congratulations on the house cleaner - that's a LONG time - I hope she continues to be that good. I'm sure she will. Communicating through your phones translation - sounds about right. Haha

Trudy @taxed4ever our hummingbird feeders are up - I looked for the little birdies yesterday, but they're not around yet. Vicky @vickyday GO you for getting the Mac up and running. I would have "learned" how to make the switch too if it came to that. You can do it! At least you can scrap now.

I'm going to cut this short. My new challenge is up and I need to keep an eye on that - I'm not used to running challenges and I'm afraid I'll space on it. There's one layout on there already.

HAGD and yay for March!!

Thanks, Trudy! There are lots of things I can't figure out at this point, but I will eventually! I appreciate the help you have given me! Just FYI about the formatting of the EHD.....I can't figure out how to do it since my EHD is already loaded with stuff! To hit the erase I was warned would delete everything already on there! So, I think I will opt to buy another EHD and format it for the Mac.

Yes, I found out what a huge learning curve it was, but you'll get there. I bought a refurbished Mac and when we finally had a IT guy come out, he advised me to send it back. It was very behind in updates and for the amount of work he would have had to put into it, he said what HE would do was keep using my Dell laptop (which he said was perfectly good) and go get a big monitor. So, that's what I did. I was willing to make the switch, but it didn't work out this time.

I actually have an OLD Samsung VAIO laptop.....my very first laptop. It has PSE6 on it, if that tells you anything, LOL! I've got it on the charger to see if I can do anything with it. I know it wouldn't have enough RAM for loading a new version of PSE but I'm hoping I can use it for Word documents, etc. I have to buy it if I want it on this Mac laptop.....which, to me, is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

Yes, that IS ridiculous. Macs sure are different. If you can get that old Laptop running, I know people still use really old versions os PSE. Good luck. Memory is always the problem. :(
