Hello, O-fam! How are you all today?
I feel like I should change the font color to an orangey-brown this morning. If you live on the East Coast, you know the exact color that I mean, you are seeing it out of your window. It was wild and not in a good way when the smoke blew in yesterday. We knew it was coming down from Canada but it still took everyone by surprise. It was a little hazy in the morning, no worse than a humid day in the summer. I was out with the dogs around 1 and you could see the haze getting a little thicker. An hour later, everything was orange and smelled like the whole town was on fire. I said to Gary that I *knew* the haze was from the wildfires but the smokey smell was so strong that I hoped there wasn't another local fire. Apparently, everyone on Facebook was wondering the same thing- hahah! Every other post was about it.
When there was that large, several-day wildfire here last month, it didn't look or smell as bad as this. I feel awful for the people in Quebec, I can't imagine how it is for them.
I ended up scrapping a little yesterday. My knee is still hurting from last week. Now I am convinced that I have Lyme again. I am so hyper-focused on every muscle ache or joint pain. I don't feel Lyme-y at all (although I did have that week in May when I didn't feel great). It was smart to stay inside anyway since I would have been out there breathing that awful air.
The kids are heading home this afternoon. From what Caitlyn has texted me, it sounds like they are having a good time. I know the rats miss her, even Otter was coming up to me a lot, and she usually stays away from me.
I have to pick up my groceries and make sure that I am caught up on laundry so they have full access to that tomorrow. While I am doing that, I am going to try not to cough up a lung. Between high pollen and air quality alerts, even *I* don't want to be outside. 90*F and 90% humidity, not a problem. This air?? Heck, no!

I wish the weather was better and I wish that the wildfires would stop.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
