Happy Wednesday! How are all of you today, my O-Fam? (That includes all of you who read this, even if you don't post).

Yesterday was a big fat bust. I was tired and cranky- yeah I know, what else is new? *giggles* I even joked with Gary if I could call in sick to my Drs appt. That would defeat the purpose, am I right? We drive all the way down there and the Dr was away. They had a notation that they called on June 2 to let me know but they never left a message, so they must have dialed wrong. We were able to get Gary's paperwork to renew his Handicapped Car tags for DMV filled out, so there was at least that. See, I should have called in sick. :pound:

I got home, did a couple of loads of laundry, worked on my food shopping list for a bit. Then I started practicing with the pen/touch again. Since my last tablet didn't have the touch, I used my mouse all of the time except working in PS. I watched a couple of tutorials to help me get the settings set up the way I want and put my mouse away. They suggest 3 days to get used to the pen/touch but I expect it to go quicker than that since I have used a pen before.
Today is Day 2 and I feel a bit more coordinated already. For me, that seems to be the hardest part- mistakenly hitting the buttons or the wrong parts of the tablet itself that make me do wonky things on the monitor. Anyone do that too?

Today I get to go to the supermarket and then I am not sure what else. I am thinking that I might go over to the new library now that it is finally open.I am really excited that my town has moved into the 21st century with an actual library as opposed to what we had that was little more than a box with books. (OK-slight exaggeration. Slight.)

Here is a to a happy day to you all!
xoxo

Danesa- thank you, sweetheart!!!

Nancy- Too cute about Luther tracking the deer. Harley was like that, she walked with her nose to the ground and if she caught a scent, she was relentless in pursuit.
Maybe you can train Luther to find lost money on the trail? Gems?
Glad the Hall of Fame made good choices on inductees.
Gary and I were laughing at all of the mishaps he used to have a work- ranging from falling off of a ladder after dropping a drill on his head and knocking himself out- to dropping a barrel and breaking his foot. Good times, haha!!

felis, that is the sweetest thing I have read in a long time. Thank you so much!! Eco-hipster party with lots of animals- that actually sounds like a lot of fun!! I bet you would join me for that. :)

Rae- how did Beckham do? I bet he was soooo excited to see you! Did Taz understand his limitations?
Scott said that the tetanus shot was much worse than the staple. I have to say thank goodness the staple didn't hit anything since is was on the inside of his wrist. I guess he could have hit a tendon or nerve running through there, but only hit muscle. whew!!

good morning - we are having one of the top 10 days in New Jersey today. Low humidity and a high near 80. There is also a slight breeze. Makes for such an easy night to sleep. My DH tripped going upstairs at work and now he is limping so had a hard time walking Luther this am. He resorted to using the training collar and said wow what a different dog Luther is and of course Luther is one smart dog. Last night I watched the Yankees going ahead in the bottom of the 7th inning only to lose it because their bullpen pitchers walked 6 batters and hit one batter and allowed the White Sox to win. It was pretty sad. I also started watching the TV show This is Us. It is good. I love how it is showing the effects of choices we parents make on how the adult kids now behave. Tonight I am going to the Rock with my DIL to a Q&A with my favorite NJ Devil Patrik Elias. We are going in to dinner first so that will be fun.

Chris I can't believe the doctor's office did not make more of an effort to confirm that you knew not to come. That really sucks! But glad you got the new tags applied for. Glad that the staple did not do any harm to Scott. Chris have fun with the new tablet!

Rae I know you are busy so waving hi! Hope the day went well with the two dogs!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Just dropped Taz off at daycare, did a load of laundry, got a second cup of coffee and now am ready to start my work day.

Yesterday was heaven with Beckham. I had missed him so much. He wears a halter with a grip handle on it as he needs guidance going up and down stairs and when outdoors walking as he sometimes forgets he's missing a leg and puts his balance on where that leg would be. It was easier to help him than I was expecting. He managed to get up the 3 tiered stairs to our garden in the back yard and was so happy as that is his fave spot to roam and investigate. After playing out there for 20 minutes he came into my office and slept beside my chair for 2 hrs until his owner came to pick him up at dinner time. His energy level is low b/c of the chemo but he seems to be doing ok. The owner said that with chemo he may survive another year or two. We'll be taking him for a wkend next month so the owners can get away for a motorcycle trip. Taz was amazing. He was so calm and quiet around Beckham and didn't try to play or push him at all. My boy is just so sweet and smart :)

Chris - that sucks about the doctors office being closed. They should have called again. Glad you are feeling comfortable with your tablet. I've only ever used the bamboo fun and intuos (the cheapest ones) and have never used any touch buttons or anything.

Nancy - we love This Is Us too. Hope your DH recovers quickly. Twisting an ankle is such a PITA, making it hard to get around. My hubs did the same last fall and it took weeks for him to get back to normal, poor guy.

Trudy - waving hello and wishing you lots of fun with your family.

I'm getting to work now. Jen is coming tonight after dinner for a visit so need to make sure my work is done beforehand. Have a great day, everyone.

Hi all...I feel as though I have been in a time warp. 2 weeks ago is when my father in law was put in the hospital and last Thursday he died. Friday I went to the ER with anaphylactic shock after I ate something I was allergic to (not sure what, but must have been nut related.) Monday we buried my fil and have been taking care of details since then. MIL is really unable and the 2 siblings here don't want to deal with that. They are taking care of their mother. DD came over today and was a huge help in basically "putting the puzzle together" He is in a better place and we are all exhasuted after spending the last several month taking care of him in one form or another. I am slowing getting back into Oscraps. Trying to catch up.
