i have been bad at chattering away haven't i? well, really about *not* chattering away. I have been pretty quiet in real life too. i wish i could get back to being myself.
Nothing new here- kids have 3 more days of school.

Well....we are without power for almost 24 hours now!!! UUUGGHHH!!! I am at Sharon's house now....we had some killer thunderstorms yesterday all day long...and the transformer behind our house got hit yesterday morning and the power went out for a few minutes and then the backup kicked in....got hit again around lunch time and it's gone now....they were finally out there about 6 and worked brought in a new transformer to find out by 8 that is was not the right one!! UUGGHH!!! we went to bed at 8:30...it was hot and muggy and all I could think about was all the food in my freezer and fridge going bad!!! we finally went downstairs in the spare room down there on the lumpy mattress to sleep as it was cooler....I got up at 3:30 and came back up..my back was killing me!!! Sharon brought the kids this morning and some breakfast ♥♥♥ and then we packed up and came to her house!!! Just talked with the power company...estimated time of repair is 4pm today...transformer and pole have to be replaced....BIG JOB...no accesss except the neighbors driveway...that is not wide enough to get those big bucket trucks through....NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE GOING TO GET IT DONE! we may have no backyard when we go home!!! The good news is that it's raining and very overcast not so hot...so if it's fixed by 4 today we may not lose all of our food.
Good Morning my "O" Friends... oh my gosh, everyone is down in the dumps today!! Wish I could fly you all here and have a little party to try to cheer you up!!
Chris - I am hopeful that your life will get back on track once school is out and perhaps you can hit the beach and get some relax time in!! Wish I knew the cure to get you out of your sadness and get you back to your cheerful self!! It hurts my heart to hear of any of you feeling badly!! :hug:
Nana Linda - What next????? This has not been a very good year for you my dear friend and U.S.A. sister!! I sure hope that they get everything fixed for you pronto!!! We can't have you without power and what a shame it would be to have to throw out a freezer full of food!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you today!! :hug:
It is technically Thursday but Wednesday on the West coast...so I'll post here. So, today was a great low key day (besides misbehaving children of course). There was no big celebration and no real plans. I took the kids to see a movie then Derek and I got to spend some adult time together doing just the simple silly stuff that you always have kids around for. And we got some yummy dinner. It was just a nice simple birthday. I loved it.
So, my new printer is not working so I am going to have to get it replaced. I'm calling Epson tomorrow. I've been doing all sorts of stuff to try and fix it but it isn't working. HOpefully I can get it replaced easily.

Nana - no power sucks, especially with the heat. Did it get fixed? I sure hope so. I'm glad you could go to Sharon's to get some AC. HOpefully you didn't lose much food.
