Daily Ooo's: Wednesday, June 14

Happy Wednesday! How is everyone today?

I am doing ok and Gary will be much happier too. It is going to be more than 10* cooler than yesterday, right around 80* which makes it nice for me and better for him.

On my way home from the grocery store, I passed by Scott's work. I knew that he was going to be really hot and wanted to see if he needed anything. He was up in one of the greenhouses and I told him that I brought plums if he wanted any or raspberries. No to them. Then I offered potato chips. Still no thanks. *Then* I said, I have ice cream cones. He perked up like just a little kid. Yup, he was very happy with an ice cream cone. He told me I was the best and gave me a virtual hug since he was sweaty and dirty. I made him one of his favorite dinners too- tomato and mozzarella pasta with garlic bread on the side.
I was glad to be able to take care of him a little bit. Still my baby.

I was able to finish weeding (for now) but the fire pit and got rid of a bunch of leaves under some of the chairs so the kids should be good to go. The sun feels so good! I have been very good about using sunscreen. That has always been a hard thing since I feel like I look much better tan. But darn, I hate seeing age spots and wrinkles showing up on me.

I also watched yet another congressional hearing in the afternoon. I am astounded how little the Republicans seem to care about Russia interfering with our elections. Just. Stunned.

Today I am cleaning and paying bills and I need to see what I have in my Faery-Wings stock to make a small birthday basket up for Leah's mom. Ack. And Father's day. I want to make the dads oatmeal cookies and I don't remember if I have all of the ingredients.

I want to have money leftover in my account after I pay my bills.
I want to clean quickly so I can get home to do the other things I need to do without pooping out.
I wish that Jaida wouldn't bark at every dog that walks past our house.

Nancy- that is fantastic news that the gel is helping your knee so much. I hope that it last much longer than 6 months, but even that much time will be a relief.
I am so glad that they were able to tranquilize and relocate the bear. I hope that they found his den and family.
We used to "camp" in the backyard when the kids were little and we had fun with that. Caitlyn still talks about her "bathtub." She was so little when we would go camping that we had an air mattress for her that had a ring around it so she wouldn't roll out. It looked like an inflatable bathtub to her. :bath:
ITA about food tasting better by the ocean. When my mom and I go to Belmar we are at this seafood place right on Shark River inlet. I love it!

Sharon- that is great news about FIL!

Trudy- I love the new avi!!!! I love the photo especially since I see you *and* Mickey!! I really need to spruce mine up too.
ound: That is funny about you not wanting to smoke out the one set of neighbors but totally wanting to do that to the loud ones. Can't say that I blame you one bit.

Rae- You were very busy getting stuff sorted and washed. Hope that the capris shrunk enough that you don't need to buy too much more.
hahahaha!! That is hysterical about hanging up on Comcast!!! Caitlyn had to call her insurance company and had me sit with her to help her out. Since she is 18, I am not legally allowed to do any of this but she gets nervous having to deal with it. After 4 different phones calls/transfers and still no answer, she looked at me dumbfounded. I told her- now you know why I would be yelling on the phone so much! :yell:
How was the webinar? I was hoping to make it but I ended up going outside instead. Is there a link to it, do you know?

good morning - it is cloudy and a bit of rain to get through but then lower humidity and only near 80. Watching news on a horrific apt fire in London. One of the reasons I don't like hi-rises as the firemen can't reach. No much happening today. Get Luther out for walks. Luther is so tired. They had water play so when I brought him home he just laid down and barely got up all evening even when my son and DH came home. And yes my son home again. He forgot something. Too funny.

Chris so glad you enjoyed your time in the sun. I too have to go through my mail and see what's needed. Never fun. We get so much mail, junk mail. You are a great mom to bring ice cream to your son. And they are always our kids not matter how old they get.

Trudy it must be such pain to have such horrible neighbors that you want to smoke them out. But sitting in front of a fire in the evening does sound so enjoyable! Sorry to hear you left Anna but you can tell that she really uses her team members so I am not surprised that you would feel over whelmed with your impending trip to Heather and the new grand baby. If you are hiking hope you have a great day!

Rae I am so glad that you are continuing to have to shrink your clothes. Hope you and Comcast have gotten your situation straighten out. They should know better than to mess with you! Hope you are feeling better!

Sharon congrats on your FIL coming through and doing so well.

Morning ladies... I need to say :hello: and then get going, our hike is earlier today as they are into the summer hours now and leave a bit earlier than then normal. I have to get my lunch made and get my pack ready. I hope you all have a fabulous day and I will try to pop in later on in the day to catch up with everyone! :wave:

Good morning, ladies. Got Taz off to doggie daycare and then came home to grab a coffee and spend a bit of time checking into making a scrap video. Got my mike hooked up to the computer and did a few test vids. I got a free program and its simple to use. This will work for now as I try it out and see if I like making scrap vids. There's no editing, no text overlay, etc but thats ok. Nothing fancy but its simple.

Got lots of work for the rest of the week so need to be organized with my time and make sure I keep up. I've been better about staying off the computer more during the day and then being able to quit earlier in the evening so I can relax for a few hrs, watch TV with hubs and play with Taz. Last night we finished the last 2 episodes of The Americans. It was a good season, not as action packed as other seasons but good nonetheless. I love the characters in that show. Keri Russell is so good in it.

WWW - really want to find a great gift for Ella (our youngest GD) for her birthday.

Chris - You're such a good mom, bringing ice cream to Scott. Sometimes its the little things that really make us happy, isn't it?

Nancy - I was listening to the news as I drove Taz to daycare. That fire is horrific. They said they've been complaining for about 4 yrs about the fire hazard it was and how negligent to not have smoke/fire alarms at all.

Trudy - have a wonderful hike. Hope the rain holds off.
