The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I checked and double checked the date today, so I know it is correct. However, I might get all confuzzled later on and will have to come back for reference. This week seems to be even more date and number challenged than usual. I screwed up dates/days for Cait's promotion dance (tomorrow, not today), Scott's last days of school, how many people I invited to graduation (6) vs how many tickets I get (5). I hate numbers and numbers hate me!

Just a few more days of school and I really hope that Scott pulls through ok. The stress of what he did and trying to catch up from waaaay behind is getting to him, which seems to be causing a Lyme flare. Stress really makes Lyme act up, as it does with most chronic illness.

That reminds me, Phyllis or anyone else with fibro, do your ears/hearing every get so sensitive that regular noises become painful? The other morning i was putting away dishes and just the clinking of the silverware/dishes was excruciating. I am guess it was fibro related, because it sure was not hangover relate d ;)

Today is just a boring day here, food shopping, cleaning, and then I want to play around with the new features in the O Shop. Did you see the thread: Shop Talk - Notes on the Shop Upgrade/Changes. Its looking good!

WWW:
I want my son to take school/grades seriously.
I wish and hope he passes the rest of his classes.
I want to scrap today.
I wish my house would clean itself!

Personals

Hi Kristy! No worries, summer is supposed to be for slacking:bathbaby:
Phyllis, how did the furniture delivery go? I wish there was so way that they could get a time frame down better, its crazy, right?
I wish I could help on the "feeling like crap" deal. I really do. On ethe one hand it is really good to to talk to others that understand and commiserate. OTOH, it it sooo easy to get sucked into the negativity of it all.
Our Lyme doc wants us to keep daily charts of symptoms to help track when we flare, and to look for triggers etc. But can I tell you how insane it was to record how crappy you feel every day? I am sure you can relate. :(
I saw on a spoonie website a cool quote about just being up and about means you are lapping people still on the couch. (Or something along those lines haha!!) Point being, just getting up and moving is better than doing nothing at all. My mantra-- baby steps :D
Feel better...... is there any point in calling the dr again?
heh-- yeah, I love my MIL. We can share the horror stories of being married to the exact same man, a generation apart. My DH and FIL are identical- I joked with her yesterday, Please tell me that my life is not going to be like this for the next 40 years. her response: Sorry, I can't tell you that/.:help:
But its good-- I help her with her house, we catch up and have lunch, and she pays me well. Win-win!

nana- oooh, good for you bringing the kids to the library! I loved doing that when mine were little.
Did you get pics of the kids int he mud? I def. see some scrap pages of that!!

Eva-
The above post in smileys:
:phone:  :yell: :censored: :smash:

Trudy???? are you there??? Did you survive Walmart??? I hope so!

Yes, my dream was exactly like that! Last night I dreamed something about my brother getting married to some Jersey Shore bimbo type, and the minister was drunk, and wearing a hospital gown that yes, did open in the back... how crazy is that??

Hope that everyone has a truly fab day!!!

Morning O fam- alarm was on and I got my 2 miles in, never did yesterday, but didn't fall asleep on the couch either. It was a long, stressful day at work yesterday, today I go in knowing that tomorrow I have off. Wishing you all wonderful days!

I hate numbers and numbers hate me!

It's amazing Chris how you keep posting things that make you sound like me! You must be my American twin :D

DS has turned his days round again. Been up all night, and he just went to sleep (1pm). Well, he's supposed to relax and get well, and he was happy so, I guess I'll have to see the positive side. We have 3 months now before he's supposed to start school again. I'm not gonna stress about that.

DH finish work in an hour. I'll think I'm gonna walk down to the library, check out some books, and walk with him home. We could grab a hamburger or something on the way home. Guess I should get out of my pajama then ... The hard life of a house wife LOL

EEEE!! i'm trying to do my AnnaPost for today and am running into probs with the new Store. i did do a post for Vicki, so hopefully this'll be explained to me. how the heck do you make a clickable image now from the store??? there's no way to right-click on the bigger image and get at "properties" anymore, as far as i can tell!! well. not the way i wanted to start the day. i thought i had everything ready for the post. ha! not so much.

Chris, i don't have the hearing thing, except just a general hate of loud noises, which just might be me. i think it's part of the "heightened perception" thing going on with Fibro. everything get's into your consciousness in overblown form, forcing you to try to develop a coping mechanism for all that "input." there's a quote from the film "Lawrence of Arabia" that has always described my approach to all this. Lawrence is putting out a burning match with his fingers. a guy is watching him do it, then tries it himself. the conversation after that goes as follows:

guy:"OOOO!!! that damn well HURTS!

Lawrence: of course it hurts.

guy: well, then. what's the trick!?

Lawrence: the trick, Wiliam Potter, is not MINDING that it hurts.

that's why keeping a diary of everything over a long period of time is a bad idea. it implants your head firmly up your own A%$ and makes you constantly pay ATTENTION to this Bit&#, something i think you don't wanna DO too much, if at all possible. i've always believed that the less time you give to this thing, as far as THINKING about it goes, the better.

gotta get in the car in a little bit and drive for an hour to go do a title transfer for my Mom's car, which we've had (sitting here) for about 2 years. my niece needs wheels. her husband had someone serve her with divorce papers on Mother's Day weekend. classy.

the furniture arrived at around 10 a.m., it fit, it looks good. it weighs a ton. hopefully my floor won't collapse. Restoration Hardware furniture really needs to "lighten up" and downsize a bit. just a bit.

Laurie, hope your day is less stressful.

Eva, hope you get your doggone SIM card FAST!!

hey, NANA!! congrats on the GSO!!!

Kristy, hope your schedule settles down so you can ENJOY sunner!

Trudy? TROOOOOODY!! have you emerged from the toy department at WalMart yet???

OK. here's me. starting my day. you guys have a great one.

Morning all...

I don't know where the week has gone, but I suspect it has something to do with my one ankle really hurting. Going up the stairs is ok, but coming down is...ugh. I'm off to the Dr. and of course this am it doesn't seem bad. kwim? I have a big lump on my heel so at least she'll see something. However, this sure kills walking for exercise and I suspect I may need to go back to the gym on the bicycles. Not my favorite. :p

I have lots of catch up stuff to do at home casuse next week I'm in VA dog sitting again. My yearly staycation! as son and family go to the beach. It's a very nice break to stay in someone else's clean and tidy house.

Morning ladies... I am not looking forward to this long day! But I am trying to convince myself that if I go into work with a great attitude the day will go by quickly! (keep telling myself that right?) Its hard when I know that my legs, feet and back are going to be killing me at the end of the day! Another full 8hr shift today, so not part time hrs!!

Chris - Keeping my fingers crossed for ya that your son passes all of his classes!! I have those same conversations with my MIL... scary how she tells me about the same things that my MG does, that her MG did too!! :eek2: I did survive Walmart!! I ran in, went to the toy section, saw that they did not have what I was looking for and ran right back out again!! Whew!! :pound: on last nights dream!! Your dreams are always entertaining!!

Laurie - Sorry your day was so stressful yesterday, but nice that you got your great walk in already, hope today is much better for you!!

Eva - My son used to do that too, stay up all night watching god knows what and then sleep most of the day away, when he was supposed to be out looking for a part time job!! Teenagers are from another planet!!!

Phylis - Glad that your furniture arrived and it looks good!! Would love to see a photo of it! Hope you get the glitches figured out for your post!! Hope the rest of your day is filled with great creativity!!

Maureen - Hmmm, hope your Dr. figures out what the heck is going on with your foot! A stay-cation seems like a great idea!! I would love to stay in someone's clean and tidy home for a bit!! All by myself of course :becky:

Off to try to get some more done on my family tree layout, its giving me some problems!! I don't know how I am going to fit everything on the page....too many people and some married too many times !! LOL

Have a great day everyone
