The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Holy moly, it has been crazy hot the last two days. I worked in the yard for an hour and a half yesterday and I was drenched. Gary spent way too much time working on patio stuff and I was getting worried about him. He doesn't do well in the heat to begin with, and the real feel hit 101° when I checked it around 2 pm. But when he gets a bug in his brain and he feels up to doing it (thinks he can), you can't stop him.
He put a cute wooden border next to the small garden space where I have my cucumbers planted. Then he added the old solar lights that who knows where they had been before around the sides of the patio. He is a man on a mission. ;)

I didn't have to go to work in the afternoon- some sort of chaos went on and they had to combine the camp groups. The extra counselor stayed in the office instead. But-- the Director told me that there is interest in a second mini-camp session!

:woohoo:
I spent an hour or so writing up some plans for that, picked the dates, and hopefully registration will open up soon :)

Busy day today- I am going to work this morning, coming home around noon, then off to clean for my friend.
HAGD and stay cool if you can. If not, stay hydrated!

I wish I told you before cause it's too late now. But when we had our new driveway put in Florida I drew an anchor and hubby cut it out of plywood so they could stamp a few anchors in the cement...I love it, our across the street neighbor put palm fronds in their patio. Our son is going to have some cement work done to his house here in Ct and I suggested car parts or tire marks...we will see what he does.
I wanted to put in dog prints but Gary wouldn't let me. booooooo!!! He was concerned that if they were too deep, ice and rain would pool there and do something to the concrete. I love the personalization of yours and your friends'. Can't wait to hear what DS decides to do.
Reeds party will be like all their parties...all out!!! Come up and slide, adults will be on it.
It sounds like it will be a blast! I am on my way :D
We will be heading home we need to be back for Labor day as I am going arrange a party at the pool at the club. I also need to stop to see my twin brother in TN. I am working on reservations now.
I didn't know you were a twin!
You have been working non-stop, but everything must look amazing with the fresh paint and fence.
I'm going to have to break down and get one of those camera feeders, I guess! You keep enabling me with your photos! ;) :lol23:
The patio looks GREAT!
Look for the Birdfy brand over BirdKiss if you do. The camera is much better and so is the app. I feel bad, Scott got me the BirdKiss/Hummingbird one for Christmas and he is disappointed that it isn't as good as the other one -- the one I got for $10.
Whisky goes in her crate when she has to throw up. It's the weirdest thing but makes it a lot easier to clean than when J throws up on the carpet. Hope Asher is all good today.
TFS all of the bike pages!!!
Not much happening here. Feels like same ol' same ol'. Not ready for summer to be over and yet its almost time for school to start for us. Lesson plans are mostly done. Office is cleared out of old books and everything is ready. Junior year starts Monday. Crazy. Not sure how my baby can be this old. Off to grab more coffee. Have a wonderful day!
Good luck to DS with his Junior year. And to you too! I thought this was his last year but you get to keep him as a "baby" a little longer.

Have a wonderful day, my lOves!

@faerywings so glad you have not melted in the heat. It's been hot everywhere they are saying now temps will cool down to more normal. Your patio redo is coming along too bad you couldn't put some tracks in the cement. I like the idea little wooden fence detail by your cucumbers. Thanks for the tip of feeder/camera brand I need to get one when I get back home. I'm so glad you are coming up for the party.

@AK_Tracy Wow school starts already...summer flew by. Good year to your son. Great the office is ready for another year. Are you going fishing again soon?

Yesterday I finished painting and scraping windows for Mikes chicken house and barn. I made a little lunch then went to the house to take a nice long shower and do some laundry. Camper showers are short so I like a longer one sometimes. Hubby sent a message that he just saw a momma bear and 2 baby's cross the road to pass by Mikes pond. 20 minutes later the neighbors dog was barking and it only barks at bears! So I put trail cam out last night...nothing. I'll leave out today in case they come by again. Last night Mike had selectman meeting and brought the first selectman over to see his garden and animals...he was nice and impressed with this place. Then we had dinner here in the trailer. I used the leftover steak, rice, onions and lots of spices in a white sauce it was sooo good but the real stand out was the fresh zucchini. onion and tomato medley which they all went for seconds. After I cleaned up the dishes I went over the help Mike make some pickles. I talked to a Florida friend so that was nice to catch up. Today our super good friend who Jay worked with in Ct now a Florida resident where we live is having open heart surgery...It will be a stressful day worrying about him. Over 80 in lung cancer remission and COPD so high risk. Prayers for Tony.
Today I will spend the day with DD, so I am looking forward to that. She is still settling into the new house so I can help put some stuff away for them so she can start to pack for her upcoming trip. They have lined up the patio install so they can get the hot tub delivered soon. Her FIL has been working on the electric for it and for her hybrid Jeep, it's handy to have an electrician in the family. They can put old house up for sale after they get back from Greece.
Mike to our truck to shop for oil change and a few checks..new front brakes cause they 1/2 worn and Jay trusts Mike to do them right so do it now..hard to believe we already have 55,00 miles on it already, My favofrite truck we ever had.
I hope everyone has a positive day

Mark is that way when he gets focused on a mission.....there's no stopping him! He comes in totally drenched but he is really good about staying hydrated and taking breaks while downing a bottle of water! Hope you have a good day at work!

Thanks for the Birdfy info!

Good Morning,
Quick in and out as I need to get ready to go to Ilene's again today. Tomorrow I will be spending the day with my daughter. It will be the last available play date as she goes back to begin prep for school kids coming back soon. Yup! The summer is almost gone! They begin pretty early at the Christian school where their kids have all attended. Of the 3, only one left! Lizzie is hoping she can retire as soon as Abby is able to drive! She is 14, so it won't be too much longer!

OK, I need to post a couple of the bike pages and get ready to leave.

Have a great day!

Good Rainy Morning O Fam

School only starts so soon because we do three weeks a month and take one week off. Other schools dont start until 8-25, which is when we will have our first break. Fishing will happen again, I dont know if I will go or not. Starting to feel the crunch of busy LOL I hope to get out again but for sure DS3 and hubs will get out.

While it feels busy, I dont know why as there isn't really anything going on. Got some dishes for church and washed and put them away. All ready for fall schedule to start, just need to plan the food menu later next week. Today is the only day this week I am staying home somaobe that's why it feels so busy.

Need more coffee. My brain feels disconnected. Have a wonderful day.
