Someone double check the day/date, please. I am all screwed up this week. It feels like it has to be Friday... Or maybe I wish it was 1972 and I could take a nap with a blanket over my head? Hmmm. 1972 might not have been much better in the US politically speaking, but I was only 4 so I had no idea what was happening. Wish I was that lucky in 2018 hahaha!!!
The supermarket has its grand-reopening this week and the ribbon cutting was yesterday. It was strange walking inside and there was so much buzz going on. So many people in suits. They had a couple of food samples and were giving away loaves of bread and sausage sandwiches. I don't eat sausage but they smelled good. Someone was grilling burgers the other day and I was drooling. I do miss a good burger on occasion.
The rain stopped mid-morning so Cait and I took W for a nice walk and then I spent some time weeding the strip of road between my mailbox and my neighbors. I usually don't do the area that belongs to them but I figured that I would be a nice neighbor. (Honestly, it gave me an excuse to be outside a little longer )
I spoke to my mom briefly and she and my dad might come up for lunch on Friday on their way to their lake house. My dad must be going bonkers not driving. She brought him up to the firehouse yesterday afternoon which must have been a wonderful feeling of relief for both of them. Hope that he starts to feel comfortable with driving short distances soon.
The only "big" (thankfully not really big) accident that I was in was when a car drove into me at an intersection. My car was messed up and I was freaked out b/c I was pregnant with Scott (I was in 1 motorcycle accident and 3 car accidents when I was pg with him- that kid was stubborn even back when he was an embryo and fetus! ). I remember how cautious I was driving through that intersection for months so I imagine he is very apprehensive too.
I am cleaning today and then I have some things that have to get done around the house. I actually finished two scrap pages for Aug challenges this past week. That has to be a good thing, right?
have a fantastic day!
