Someone double check the day/date, please. I am all screwed up this week. It feels like it has to be Friday... Or maybe I wish it was 1972 and I could take a nap with a blanket over my head? Hmmm. 1972 might not have been much better in the US politically speaking, but I was only 4 so I had no idea what was happening. Wish I was that lucky in 2018 hahaha!!!

The supermarket has its grand-reopening this week and the ribbon cutting was yesterday. It was strange walking inside and there was so much buzz going on. So many people in suits. They had a couple of food samples and were giving away loaves of bread and sausage sandwiches. I don't eat sausage but they smelled good. Someone was grilling burgers the other day and I was drooling. I do miss a good burger on occasion.

The rain stopped mid-morning so Cait and I took W for a nice walk and then I spent some time weeding the strip of road between my mailbox and my neighbors. I usually don't do the area that belongs to them but I figured that I would be a nice neighbor. (Honestly, it gave me an excuse to be outside a little longer ;) )

I spoke to my mom briefly and she and my dad might come up for lunch on Friday on their way to their lake house. My dad must be going bonkers not driving. She brought him up to the firehouse yesterday afternoon which must have been a wonderful feeling of relief for both of them. Hope that he starts to feel comfortable with driving short distances soon.
The only "big" (thankfully not really big) accident that I was in was when a car drove into me at an intersection. My car was messed up and I was freaked out b/c I was pregnant with Scott (I was in 1 motorcycle accident and 3 car accidents when I was pg with him- that kid was stubborn even back when he was an embryo and fetus! ). I remember how cautious I was driving through that intersection for months so I imagine he is very apprehensive too.

I am cleaning today and then I have some things that have to get done around the house. I actually finished two scrap pages for Aug challenges this past week. That has to be a good thing, right?

have a fantastic day!

Nancy- I feel so bad for anyone who is on vacation this week. The weather is wretched. It was downpouring like mad this morning but it seems to have slowed down a bit now. I was lucky to get W outside right before it really came down hard. Your dinner sounds so good- I made pasta the night before last too and it was a steam bath over the stove.
Hope that you and Luther can get outside for a bit today.

Rae- congrats on surviving Monday. It is a smart idea to "front-load" your week like that. Taz and W would love to swim and play in the dirt together. I am really happy that you are able to get out and be active with him-- good for *both* of you!
Any news about the hospital and treatment plan? (No need to answer if you would rather not)
I hope that you get your scrap mojo/enthusiasm back soon. You must feel so drained.

Jean- that is the story of my life-- same old, same old. I guess that is much better than some of the alternatives.

Felis- hope all is well with you!

xoxo

Hello girls,
I'm not much talkative these days, but as Jean said nothing interesting happened around me too. And to be honest I feels guilty that this is one of my best summers from many years and I'm so happy,
till it is such a horrible times for my country. Marchers and counter-marchers, fight one each other and with the police. All these protest are such a parody. So no one was surprised when the organizer of the march admitted that they take instruction from the politics. They just makes circus from the pain and tears of these poor people. It's so disgusting.
Anyway! You see why I prefer to not talk at all, or I start and gone in wrong direction.
So let's concentrate only on personal.

Chris, sorry but the date is correct! If you're able to time travel, can you left me some notes with mistakes that I to do not repeat, please :) ! I'll pay you for the stamps  ! So your dad wouldn't be able to drive anymore or just for a some time?! It's so frustrating for man! What about bicycle? I saw many adult mans on bicycle these days. Sorry for the supermarket! I hate crowds too.
For your yesterday's post awesome that you both have good results! I was thinking that your yoga is only with Caitlyn, but now it's sounds like some kind of class or something organised?!

Nancy, sounds like you have similar weather to mine. Me and Biggie definitely enjoying to the rain. Especially because it wouldn't stay for a long. Great that you have scraping mojo and your photos are just amazing! I hope uploading gone well! I hate myself when (unfortunately too often) accidentally delete something.

Rae, so Taz swim too?! Sounds so fun! Oh, I want to see these bears! Hope you can take a pics! Hope that you'll like the new ipad when you get it, have a fun!

Jean, is the 'same old' mean that you work on some new presentation/speech?

Trudy, I bet you have lovely time! Have fun with the boys!

Love you girls, and I'm think of you and read the topics every day, even when I don't post!

Good morning - it is supposed to rain all day so I decided to give Luther an extra day of doggie day care this week. He does not mind the rain me I hate it. I don't really like being wet and my hair just then does what it wants which is not what I want. Luther loves swimming it is just that I don't feel the rivers and lakes around here are safe as they local governments are always putting poisons in water to get rid of the algae. I tried to put my shutterfly book together but found that to keep my pages together I had four blank pages so I decided to scrap my 4 favorite bird photos and that took a while but the book is now ordered so that makes me happy and they gave a 40% discount so that too made me happy. For a first time I did not have to add extra pages LOL. Made a yummy and spicy dinner last night - seared chicken with peach and coconut sauce with bok choy and jasmine rice. My DH thought it was too spicy but my son and I thought was just perfect. Tonight is my Panera's night so that will be fun.

Chris it must be nice that the store is done and now you can get to know it and shopping will be so much easier. Yes the rain stopped in the afternoon and yes the poor people that have beach vacations this week and next. Not much sun but at least it is not so hot they cant go the beach. My sister says in Phoenix it is 114 and higher. She is melting. Glad you got out for a walk! Not sure I want to go back in time unless I don't lose what I have learned. I feel for your dad - no fun having to ask for rides after being the driver for so long. That loss of freedom is one thing I am not looking forward to.

Rae what a great schedule to do most of the work early in the week. My DH take Luther and after a recent rain Luther spotted a robin and lunged right into the water and mud. My DH had come to hate robins as they are pretty much all Luther now chases. Love that Taz swam and then took a sand scrub. Probably felt good on his skin exfoliating LOL. Sorry you had to give a bath. Wow glad you did not meet any bears. Saw a story on facebook about a family coming home and finding cougar in their house. They left him alone and when he finished his nap he just left.

Jean same old, same old is not always bad. Hope you are not getting all the rain that I am seeing on the weather map.

Felis sorry the protests are so bad. The US has gone through some pretty bad ones and come out better. I am glad though that you are having a great summer. And yes Luther is fine in the rain but I think he likes the snow better.

thanks so much for all the nice comments on my pages.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I dropped Taz off at daycare (almost forget and D had to remind me) and today will get lots of work done, pop into the salon to exchange some products I'm not thrilled with and will wash the kitchen floor as it really needs it. I just got some laundry done, removed some old plastic adhesive hooks from the back of the bedroom door (the first one snapped as I was pulling on the removal strip and it smacked my thumbnail and split it so had to stop and clip away the damaged nail but luckily its ok and not bleeding or bruised). Then I hung a new over-the-door bar of hooks for my housecoats. I've been meaning to do that for a long time, so can check that off my to-do list.

Chris - how nice of you to do the weeding on your neighbors side. Wish you lived closer and you could come do mine :) I can only imagine how hard it must be for your dad not driving. Wow, can't believe how many accidents you were in when preggers with S. As for B, no change right now, we're waiting to hear from our MLA if they are able to fascilitate a transfer. We demanded a family mtg with the neuro/psych team at the hospital and they said no. ugh. They don't want to deal with us and don't know what to do with her so they want to just keep her in the room and let her be. Its so sad and frustrating. I pray that things move forward soon for her and she can get placed in a treatment facility that can work with us on how to deal with her and hopefully give her something to do b/c she is so sad, angry and bored, sitting in bed day after day.

Felis - glad you are having one of your best summers. Do not feel guilty for finding some joy and peace in your life. With all the political unrest, negative actions of others and how the world (to quote my grandma) is "going to hell in a basket" (lol I understand the meaning of this but it makes me laugh, such a silly phrase).

Nancy - great that you got a discount for your book. Your dinner sounds amazing. I wish I was at your home, drinking some coffee, hanging out with you and flipping thru all your scrap pages while maybe eating one of your delicious meals :) Haven't seen the cougar around here but lots of neighbors have lately. Yesterday I could hear the rustling in the bushes as something was tracking us as we walked along the river but it didn't come out onto the path, I'm guessing it was the cougar or a coyote which we have lots of around here.

I'm getting to work now and hope you all have a great day.
