Sheesh, I cannot believe it is Wed already. Last week, I thought that every day was Sat. Now it feels like the week is flying past. It was a long day yesterday, lots of waiting at the dr's. We left here around 10 and got home around 2. But it was a "successful???" visit. I never know that right words to describe them. *shrugs*

But she is "happy" that the new protocol seems to be showing that the Lyme is responding to it. She thinks the Bartonella is back, my titer was elevated again and she saw signs of vasculitis and swollen lymph nodes. Now I am going to be taking another abx for that, since the three I am on don't cover Bartonella bacteria. The three I am on now cover the 3 different forms of Lyme bacteria. This one (my 4th!!!) will help the Bart. I am investing in some really good acidophilus and will increase my kefir intake!

My mom asked me how it went and I explained all of this and how it was "good" and she simply doesn't understand how this can be "good." It is not good in the traditional sense of the word, but good in the Lyme Realm. I guess??:shock:LOL

Anyway, that was yesterday, today is food shopping. I actually have some recipes to try- a grilled zucchini cheese sandwiches, sweet potatoes tacos, tomato and spinach pasta- and I think I will try Nancy's Orange Chicken recipe too. I will let you know the verdict on them.

QOTD On to focusing on the best of ourselves--What is your most memorable compliment? One that really sticks with you? Mine is when Caitlyn told me last year after I finished my radiation tx, that I was the strongest woman she knows and wants to be like me. I wasn't feeling strong then, but it really helped me to take a step back and see myself through her eyes. What a fab compliment coming from a teenaged DD! I still draw on that when I am struggling.

I can't wait to hear about your compliments!!

Nancy- Is it cooler by you today? I was outside this morning with the dogs and it felt like there was low humidity and a nice breeze. Hope you have that too. The car is still not right, something is off with the brakes even with the tire pressure fixed. It has to get into the shop, but that is Gary's job.
Hope you had a great day yesterday.

Hi Angela! Soooo nice to see you here. Good to hear that things are good with you and the kids. Hope life slows down a bit for you so you can come back more often.

Sharon- how was your Bible Group? Grilled salmon is yummy! It is so nice of you to take guys of the guys.
Did the AG doll come yet? I don't blame you for being nervous.
You seriously are rocking the scrapping!

Jean- how was the visit with your sister? Good to hear that she is home and will be doing outpatient. It has to be much more comfortable for her. Send her hugs from me!

Hi Hummie- welcome to the Daily Ooo's. Yup this is just a place where we chit chat about life. Or silliness. Whichever suits your mood. :)
I used to follow your blog a long time ago, sorry to hear that you had to close your forum/shop. But this is a great place to hang out. I hope you join us!

hey there Trudy!! No worries, we are so thrilled that you have Heather and Mason with you and would be mad at you if you gave up that time to be here. Hugs to all of you!

Hummie- mmmm scones sound perfect! I have coffee here, iced if that works for any of you. :tea:
Oh, and there are no hard and fast rules here, just pop in whenever you want, no need to do "personals" unless you want to. Share as little or as much as you like. I am a blabbermouth so most days you see me writing lots and lots. But it is up to you!

good morning - well the weather is awesome today and should be for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Highs in the 80s. Yea it is like all my energy is back again! Now though what to cook. Yesterday the clouds kept the temperature down in the morning so I got in a walk but it was still incredibly humid. But the wildlife was out saw a deer munching in the woods and later in the walk was a doe with two fawns. So cool! And there are lots of rabbits. So good to be outside. I love technology when it works as described and usually Apple products are the best. I am loving my new apple watch but for some reason it became disconnected from the iPhone. No where online on their support website could I find out how to reconnect. Then I was thinking I had to repair to the two components. It was not working and I was hot so txted my son to let him know I would need his help. Well he came home and got busy doing other stuff and as the mom I am lowest on the totem pole. So yesterday I figured I would just call Apple. They were so nice and it was fixed in no time at all! I really do love Apple. The funny thing is that the fix was just to reset the watch and then restart both phone and watch. When I was using PCs at work I knew that to fix things it was just shutdown and restart. But with Apple there are never crashes so I forgot. LOL but it is all good now and I am happy and because of back-ups no data was lost.

Angela so good to see you and to know that you are having a great summer with the kids!

Sharon your Bible study always sounds so fun with you doing the dinner fixing. You are really creating some fab pages! Hope the AG doll comes soon!

Trudy so good of you to pop in! Get as many hugs as you can while Mason is visiting! Continue to have fun!

Jean so glad that things are going well for your visit. Hope you had a super visit!

Hummie welcome. Strawberry scones sound like a lovely way to start the day. I awoke to my DH having made eggs and toast for breakfast. A very nice surprise.

QOTD Chris that is a lovely compliment from your daughter. I will have to think to answer this. But I do know that for me as a digital scrapper when one of my pages is selected as a GSO or even as a Standing "O" I feel like I am dancing on clouds. It does not happen often so that makes it even more special.

Wonderful evening last night. The guys are so thankful for a home-cooked meal. Salmon was AWESOME. Dorothy will not return until late next Tuesday, so we're going to do it again next week. ....maybe flank steak on the BBQ. What man doesn't love beef? LOL

Chris, happy to hear your new meds are doing what they're supposed to. As to your mom, speaking as the mom of grown kids, my advice is to tell her the least amount you can get away with. We moms worry so much, and details we don't understand are not helpful.

Nancy, loved your comment in the gallery about taking photos of things that were not flying! Nice that you've got some good weather coming. We're enjoying a little cool-down for a few days, but still nice enough to enjoy being outside.

Nothing on my agenda today. NOTHING! WOOT! We're babysitting Clara on Sunday while her parents take her brothers to a swim meet, so not spending the morning with her.

Had a good swim today...in sync, and it went quickly. I realized I'm swimming about 1/2 mile per hour. So it would take me 52 hours to swim to Catalina Island! LOL

My 7-year-old DGS was in a swim-off against a much bigger 8-year-old for the final spot on his swim team for the big meet coming up Sunday...over 500 spectators watching these two boys. And Logan won!!!!!!! He is 8th over-all out of the 40 best in the district, and one of only 3 that are 7 years old (in the 7-8 category). This is a fiercely competitive kid. But he still has trouble handling loss. I hope he can figure out how to handle that. If so, I think he has a future in athletics. He sure has the genes from both his dad and mom.

Nancy, I'm with you on compliments...can't really think of anything as good as Chris's, but I too get a THRILL when I have a GSO or Standing O. The fall issue of Somerset Digital Studio is going to have 2 or 3 of my pages, and I didn't submit them until they asked for them, having been pointed my direction by Donna Goar. We'll see. I have publishing stories that would bring tears to your eyes if you loved me. I used to write a column (humor/slice of life) for a small local daily newspaper. I LOVED getting responses, and was so touched when a few readers wrote letters to the editor saying they missed me when the new editor just failed to print my columns any more (no contact with me as to why!). And occasionally people would recognize me in a store, and tell me how much they loved my column. A funny compliment story: I've been told more times than I can count, what a pretty golf swing I have. You can't imagine how much I HATE hearing that! As my grandmother would have said, "pretty is as pretty does." and my golf swing, while it may look good, is not very effective! I'd rather have an ugly swing that sent the ball high and straight and 200 yards down the fairway!

Enough rambling. I can tell I have no pressure to get going today....okay...one more cup of coffee. ;)

What is your most memorable compliment? One that really sticks with you?

Um, that's a hard one.

Edit: Now how many times have I done a layout and posted it, only to see something that I needed to change? I think I was in a hurry just to get a layout done. Sigh. Now I'll always see that something something unless I open it back up and edit it.

Edit: I think I should be responding to each of you individually, but right now I'm just trying to learn names and faces.
