Oops! I almost dropped back a day, I thought it was Tuesday. I'm not sure why I thought it was Tuesday since I had just gotten the text for my food shopping order which is always on Wed. I think I am still waiting for the caffeine to kick in.
In spite of kooky traffic, I got my contacts and I got to spend some time with Caitlyn yesterday. There was construction at one major intersection, lanes were closed, and cops from three different towns directing traffic. One cop in the street was motioning for me to come fwd but another had the stop sign up. Yikes. It took me 10 minutes to go less than 1/4 mile. I literally could have walked to the dr off and back. My DD is the sweetest thing, she texted to see if I wanted a sandwich while I was visiting her. The school had orientation with sandwiches and cookies so she grabbed one for me. The sandwich was delish too. Grilled veggies on a soft whole wheat roll. yum. It was pouring when I left and she wanted to give me her umbrella but I wanted to make sure she had it and we went back and forth, back and forth.
She and Tom looked at a house last night that they *might* put an offer on. It's not too far from her (yay!) but it's also at the upper end of their budget. (boooo). Gary went with them and thought it was a good one.
You *might* be proud of me-- I made a (very very ) small step towards getting myself out of the house and meeting new people. I looked at my library's event page and every Monday afternoon there is a coloring club. I added it to my calendar. I tried adult coloring books when they first became a thing and they made me want to stab myself with the colored pencils. Definitely not the relaxing activity everyone said it would be. But who knows, I *can* color, so maybe this will be ok. *shrugs* The library used to have Knit/Crochet group but I couldn't find it on the website or event calendar.
Today, I am off to get food shopping and pharmacy errands first thing, then I going to see my BFF when that is done.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
Oh wait-- I wanted to show you my monster tomato plants:
It's really hard to see them with the rhodo behind, but that seething mass of green is just three plants. I've only gotten a handful of ripe tomatoes so far but if they actually do ripen and the chipmunks don't eat them first there will be a lot of them.
