Oops! I almost dropped back a day, I thought it was Tuesday. I'm not sure why I thought it was Tuesday since I had just gotten the text for my food shopping order which is always on Wed. I think I am still waiting for the caffeine to kick in.

In spite of kooky traffic, I got my contacts and I got to spend some time with Caitlyn yesterday. There was construction at one major intersection, lanes were closed, and cops from three different towns directing traffic. One cop in the street was motioning for me to come fwd but another had the stop sign up. Yikes. It took me 10 minutes to go less than 1/4 mile. I literally could have walked to the dr off and back. My DD is the sweetest thing, she texted to see if I wanted a sandwich while I was visiting her. The school had orientation with sandwiches and cookies so she grabbed one for me. The sandwich was delish too. Grilled veggies on a soft whole wheat roll. yum. It was pouring when I left and she wanted to give me her umbrella but I wanted to make sure she had it and we went back and forth, back and forth. ;)

She and Tom looked at a house last night that they *might* put an offer on. It's not too far from her (yay!) but it's also at the upper end of their budget. (boooo). Gary went with them and thought it was a good one.

You *might* be proud of me-- I made a (very very ) small step towards getting myself out of the house and meeting new people. I looked at my library's event page and every Monday afternoon there is a coloring club. I added it to my calendar. I tried adult coloring books when they first became a thing and they made me want to stab myself with the colored pencils. :knifehead:Definitely not the relaxing activity everyone said it would be. But who knows, I *can* color, so maybe this will be ok. *shrugs* The library used to have Knit/Crochet group but I couldn't find it on the website or event calendar.

Today, I am off to get food shopping and pharmacy errands first thing, then I going to see my BFF when that is done.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

Oh wait-- I wanted to show you my monster tomato plants:

It's really hard to see them with the rhodo behind, but that seething mass of green is just three plants. I've only gotten a handful of ripe tomatoes so far but if they actually do ripen and the chipmunks don't eat them first there will be a lot of them.

@vickyday LOL-- I am glad that my daily dinner musings helped! I ended up making Bang Bang Chicken last night. I was going to make B-B tofu for Caitlyn but the tofu had expired. Now-- tonight's dinner... no idea!
The hikers were very scared, they weren't local and not experienced hikers. Scott said that a couple of them started to write notes to their family, isn't that so sad? Apparently, that is pretty common according to the others on the SAR team.
Ahh, the good old days of tweens in the house, do you wake them up and feel their wrath or let them sleep the day away and enjoy the P&Q? :lol23:
Hope you had a wonderful day with everyone yesterday.

@Cherylndesigns Oh thank goodness no leg cramps for you. Hope that they didn't come back and that you are all caught up on sleep.

@BrightEyes How are you holding up with the heat? Be safe and stay hydrated out there.
Uh-huh :nod1: -- you are back to scrapping at your usual speed-- 4 LOs in a day, probably more that we don't know about !! :rotfl:
Thanks for the blueberry ideas!

@bcgal00 Blueberry and lemon loaf sounds very good. I used to make soap that was lemon and blueberry and had blueberry seeds as an exfoliant so I know it has to be a good combo. LOL
Sorry that you are still getting hormonal temperature flares. I have no idea if I actually went through menopause yet (hysterectomy ♥ ) but the hot flashes sound simply and utterly awful. Esp in this kooky heat.

@Nonni F thank you for helping me out with geography, I must have failed the 50 States a million times in elementary school.
Our sump pump is still going too and I'll take water in my basement over water in my actual house. So many people just inundated :( :brokenheart:
I'm "hardly scary." I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment or not. Bwuahahahah!!!!! I'm only scary if you mess with my kids.
Oh. Half Scottish, huh. Gary is part Scottish too. Also very stubborn. Remind me to never mess with you!! :pokestick:

Lemon Blueberry trifle!! Recipe, please!!!!!

You must have your tomato plants staked. Ours are all volunteer and are spread out EVERYWHERE!!! We have gotten LOTS of cherry tomatoes and a few larger ones. The vines are FULL! When they start ripening all at once, we take a zip loc baggie full to a little girl at church who LOVES them! The first picture shows them from the side and the second one shows them invading the car port!

@Nonni F - I'll jump in here and give her the one I use.....
There are a couple Lemon Blueberry Trifle recipes. This is the one I used. Lemon Blueberry Trifle
My variations: Make your own angle food cake.....half as expensive! However, I do use Cool Whip instead of making my own. The last time I made it, I made a single layer of each instead of layer upon layer upon layer. And I think I cut the recipe in half and put it in a 13x9 glass dish. I only made half of the recipe because I wasn't sure who would like it and I had dirt pudding fixed, also. The kids and men ate the dirt pudding. The women LOVED the blueberry lemon trifle! Also, I have used sugar free ingredients for Mark (as many as you can find.....cool whip and lemon pudding mix) and it is just as good!

Good Morning to you!
Good Morning to you!
Good Morning, everybody!
Good Morning to you!
Abby is already up and showered! Of course, she went to bed at 9 last night! I was in bed by 11:30 and up at 8:30, with spending the last hour and a half just cat napping. I need to hop in the shower and then we are heading to Abby's house. She wants to get a different dress for church tonight. While we are there, we are going to lunch with her mom, who is enjoying a quiet week at home by herself since her DH is out of town working.

Not much going on other than that. We will probably come back to the house after lunch and play games.
Supper is already decided.....pizza and left overs.

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. I am heading out soon for a haircut, it's so hot here that I can't wait to get a trim and feel cooler on my neck. Then this afternoon we'll pay the remainder to the travel agent for our Mediterranean cruise this fall. I'll be back for a dip in the pool to cool off. Gotta hop in the shower and get out of here. I'll be back later.

Good morning. I never made it back in here yesterday. It was an odd day - I "frittered" it away for some reason. I did get a little scrapping done and got outside to water my plant. Chris @faerywings your tomatoes are ginormous and Vicky @vickyday yours look very good, too. I staked ours, they're coming back after whatever ate them took them down to bare bones. LOL They're now encroaching on my beans, even though they were staked.

Chris @faerywings that's exciting that Tom and Cait looked at a house! I make sort of the same thing that everybody is talking about with the angel food cake. We shortened up the recipe years ago. Just slice the cake and pour vanilla or lemon pudding/halved with Kool Whip over the top and add blueberries or strawberries or nothing. It's so good and refreshing in the summer. We even use instant pudding. It makes a quick desert.

I need to cut this short because I have CT layouts to promote. I got them on the site, but that was all. I slept well last night - thankfully, no leg cramps. I think it was just a short term thing. Hugs to everybody and HAGD. We're going to the nail salon this afternoon - girls' day. I REALLY need to go - my fingernails are getting so long that they're sliding between the keys when I type. :busy1:

Late getting in here today. Got a AJ page done and uploaded this morning. Then I ran the errands I needed to do...and got back home after 1 PM. My shirt and shorts and hair were wet from sweat!!! 102* So glad to be home with the A/C on! Another busy day with calls from DD#1 in the morning ..and from sister this afternoon. She is still in NC - they just got home (NC) yesterday from the grandson's wedding in Florida. She will be coming home (Amarillo, TX) next week. Then we will back to our 2-3 calls a week! :floorlaugh:

@Cherylndesigns I just had to play in "Do You Have a personal theme song thread! How fun to read all the answers there.
Had to LOL about " I REALLY need to go - my fingernails are getting so long that they're sliding between the keys when I type."
My DDs were telling me the same thing a couple of months ago... so cut them back and now they almost as long as they were then!!!

@faerywings and @vickyday --- WOW those tomato plants are big!!! Great photos.

Time for me to start thinking about what to fix for supper.

Oh, Kay, isn't that a fun thread??? I need to go see what your answer was. I was listening to one of my favorite playlists yesterday and that song came on and I thought "I'm going to start a thread and see if anybody else has a theme song". I LOVED reading all the answers and have listened to everybody else's theme songs and added them to my favorites.

Yes, you know your nails are too long when they go in between the keys on the keyboard. I'm all fixed up now - we all four (even Alyssa met us there - had manis and pedis and we're all set now for a few weeks. Chuck is so observant - last time, I had white on my fingernails and white on my toenails (which I always do). This time I had a really pretty light (almost white) put on my fingernails. He noticed it the minute I showed him. He always wants to see my nails when I get home.
