It feels very weird that it is Wednesday. I cleaned yesterday which is what I usually do on Wed's and am food shopping today, something that I normally do on Tuesdays. Will I get the days and dates right the rest of the week? Only time will tell :D

I was really having a hard time getting motivated to do much of anything yesterday. I kind of wandered through the house muttering to myself about how I couldn't get anything done.
Cait and I took J and W for a walk. J made it two her normal spot where she refuses to go any further so we had to bring her back home. we kept going with W though. That little one walks like a princess.

I made my appt for my MRI on Friday. we finally got it hopefully worked out with the insurance company. Not looking forward to that. Not that the MRI itself is an issue, but now that I had successfully ignored the last test results for months, I have to deal with them again. I have absolutely no reason to think anything is wrong but darn it, I just don't want to have to worry about that on top of everything else.
My dad conveniently (ha!!!!) didn't tell my mom that he isn't supposed to drive and asked her for the car keys to go to the bank. I am not sure how it went down but she found out and wouldn't give them to him.
Today I have to get my blood drawn for my LLMD and then off to food shop.
wishing you a great day!! ::grouphug

Nancy- I don't know for sure if dog ticks can pass other TBIs to dogs, but they can and do pass them to humans. So look at it as money well spent.
Did you find a show to binge? We are watching Secret City on Netflix and finished Goliath on Amazon.
It got so cold here overnight but the humidity is way down so it will be a nice day.

Trudy! welcome back, we missed you!!!! I was able to see some pics on FB and it looks like you had an awesome time! I am waiting impatiently for your scrap pages, bet they are going to be stunning.

Rae- sometimes it is easier to give up and give in when husbands have an idea. I have to pick and choose my battles for sure. Hope that the mantle and android box get settled for you.
As always I am hoping for things to work out as best as possible for Jen and B.

Jean- We had some big t-storms yesterday and yes, the temps are much cooler today. My hair will be happier without the humidity frizz too. Of COURSE, the group president loved your talk! You always seem so knowledgeable and prepared and you are obviously passionate about what you do. You are an inspiration!

Felis- I am sorry that things are not good in your country either. I wish I didn't care so much about things too. It makes me angry and stressed when I can't help or change things. I hope that your kitties and music and dogs keep you happy today.

xoxo!!

good morning - the weather has turned and the humidity is so low. It was a pleasure to sleep last night. Yesterday was busy. Took Luther for a morning walk and it was hot so even he selected the short route. Thunderstorms hit in afternoon and they were intense with over an inch of rain. Cooked an interesting pork sandwich dinner. Not one of our favorites but it was not bad. Today is my Panera's night with my girlfriend and her daughter so I will get to hear all about her trip to Thailand. I did get one page done from Maine trip so that needs to be posted. Watched and am now watching the Tour de France. The Alps are gorgeous as they are having sunny weather. So beautiful. But so glad I am not riding up the mountains. So funny people on social media commented how one biker's when spun to fast. They had to go and talk to the guy and he explained the chain had come off and that is why the wheel spun and not because of some motor. Turns out each bike is checked each day for motors LOL. The All Star game with to extra innings and it was just like each game with lots of home runs and lots of strike outs. Glad though the American league won! More scrapping and laundry.

Chris I feel you when the schedule changes and messes you up. That is funny about your mom and dad. And it must be hard for your dad not to drive. I know it would and will be hard for me to give up having a car. Glad you got the dogs out to walk. Today will be much easier. Good luck with grocery shopping.

Trudy welcome back. Your trip sounds perfect - so busy during the day and crash at night. Breakfast was my favorite mean. Have fun scrapping. I know now that I have been to Paris I love seeing all the movies, ads and shows that show Paris locations and to know that I have been there. Sounds like nice weather in your area too. Wow you will be busy soon with Heather so that is great! Cant wait to see the pages. I read the Kite Runner. You should read the other book by this author A thousand splendid suns. And don't forget to read the two books after Crazy Rich Asians.

Jean a lot of home runs in the All Star game. Seems like baseball has turned into strike outs or home runs and not much in-between. You ice cream walk in light rain does sound romantic. Glad your weather is better too!

Rae so hope the MLA can help Bailey. Glad your hubby is trying to keep busy during his time off and I hope the mantel turns out really well. Sometimes not worth the fight. My DH loves lamb but not my favorite but in shepherd's pie it is great.

Felis I do not know what is going on in your country but just trying to stay calm with my country is enough. I too like snuggling and listening to music or reading to forget for a bit. Have fun scrapping.

Have a great day all.

Morning O-zies! Up at 4:30 am still dealing with a bit of jetlag, hubby is doing worse than I am and will be taking another day off of work to try to get back on track. I am going to try to stay on track with getting up this early because it will mean that I am on Ontario time and so it won't be such a shock to my system when I am out there for a week before bring I DD and the boys out here. Whew I am going to be bushed!! :faint: Can't wait to see them though. Our son and his wife made it safely back to the Island to pick up the kids from the other grandparents and now will be starting their travels across the country to their new home in Toronto  Oh well it is what it is and I need to deal with it! :gaah: easier said than done LOL. Oh I forgot to tell you all that on the third day in Paris we were leaving the apartment very early and the lighting on the staircase was poor, well I fell down the last three steps and twisted my ankle really good! OUCH! Dam it!! It did not hurt to walk on it at all, but it sure did get swollen and I had to put ice packs on it every night. The swelling is finally all gone now, but now it is sore and very stiff! I was lucky that I did not break anything, so no hike for me today or for the next 4-6 weeks as I will be busy with the kids.

Chris - I am going to try to start a page today and hopefully can get all my photos organized and onto layouts soon! Not much time to work on them though as I need to get my act together and get flights booked etc. With DH home from work it is even more difficult to do as he is always wanting my attention for something or another. MEN!! LOL Glad that you were able to get out walking again that is strange that J will only walk so far and then stop. Glad that W walks so well for you though! You sound like me yesterday wandering around the house wondering why I couldn't concentrate enough to get anything accomplished, hope that today is better! Hope that you do not have any trouble with the MRI and insurance! Keeping my fingers crossed that you don't have to deal with any of that same bulls@*t from the insurance company! Shame on your Dad for trying to drive when he should not :nono: LOL

Nancy - So happy to hear that your humidity is low again! It does make it so much nicer to sleep at night! Yes breakfast was usually a quick croissant or other pastry while we were taking the Metro LOL so not good for my diet and I gained 5lbs, but hopefully will be able to take it off quickly as I get back on track with my Keto diet. Amazing pastries though, all followed by some Tums or other stomach aid, my tummy did not like the pastries as much as my mouth did LOL. But when in Paris...
I hope you enjoy the rest of the Tour de France, it really does have spectacular scenery! I didn't realize just how far they go! Better them then me LOL!

Rae - Of course I did splurge on the food, how could I resist LOL. I did try some amazing cheeses and we had a great dinner one night where I tried almost everything on the menu as we all ordered something different and sampled each others dishes. Never had steak tartar before and I really liked it although it was very rich. Good food, good wine and now I need to get back to eating the way I should, don't know how they can eat that much bread everyday and not weigh a thousand pounds :noidea: Hope you like your new mantle better than you thought you would and of course I am sending you lots of good vibes in hopes that things improve for B and Jen! You are an amazingly strong woman and don't ever forget it!

Jean - Yes we were there for the soccer party! Actually we found a nice restaurant on the Champs- Élysées and watched the celebrating for a bit, then they started closing up the shops and restaurants so we thought we had better get out of Dodge before it got too crazy, glad we did as it was mayhem after that! Not sure what it would have been like if they had lost :fear: How nice to enjoy the better temps and the ice cream :hungry:

Felis - I am not sure what is happening with your country, but somethings are just out of our control although difficult to not worry about it! Sadly we did not make it to the Musée d'Orsay there just was not enough hours in the day, we did make it to the Louvre and spent the whole day there on our last day in Paris. I think my fav was the Palace of Versailles I was in awe of how decadent they lived in those days while the people of France were starving! Amazing wealth at the cost of others! We booked breakfast at the palace and so got to skip the enormous long line up to get into the Palace, it was very worth the extra $$ !

Ok I have lots to do today, booking flights and some yard work before it gets to smokin hot outside. Really would love to go the lake today for a swim, wonder if I can talk DH to do that today?? Have a great Wednesday everyone!

It is such a lovely day here that we plan to go off for a little birding partly in hopes of finding some early migrant shorebirds. Yesterday it was so nice to feel like a human being again and not smothered in heat and humidity. Actually, I hear DH getting ready, so will have to put off more until later.

Good morning, ladies. I dropped Taz off at doggie daycare, D went to the lab for his blood work and I have a quiet house to myself for a bit. Jen is coming over later this morning to help D bag up the debris that is under the deck that the raccoons had shredded. She quit smoking this week and wants to keep busy so we are putting her to work. Unfortunately she can't spend too much time at the hospital right now as B thinks she is a young teenager, living with her parents and thinks they put her in the hospital/prison so she gets very angry with her right now. I hope that improves as its hard on J to get so much negative emotion from B. So I told her we'll be up there as much as we can and for J to take a bit of a break for a few days as it stresses her out so much. At lunch time today J and I will work on finalizing the draft paper she wrote up about B for the MLA. They are going to see if there is anything they can do to fascilitate treatment for her.

I've been catching up on PVR shows, now finishing up Seal Team. I don't get a lot of time to watch TV anymore but I try to get in an hour or so every night before bed. I told D we will try to get to the trailer at least a few times a month over the summer so even tho its hard to pull myself away from B, I said we'll go up for Fri and Sat night as it looks like the weather should be good.

Chris - how hard it must be for your dad not to be able to drive. If you aren't feeling too motivated, take it easy, don't do too much. Maybe your body wants to relax and rejuvenate for a few days.

Trudy - I can only imagine how wonderful the food must have been and totally worth it. You know how to get back on track and I'm sure it won't take long. Looking forward to seeing pic and LOs of your trip.

Nancy - enjoy your dinner with your friend tonight.

Felis & Jean - hope all is well.

I'm getting to work now. Want to get a lot done before J gets here as I know we'll end up chatting and won't be as productive this afternoon. Have a great day, everyone.

Good afternoon girls,
my sister was made my a favor at the weekend, so yesterday she ask me to switch and take her task to clean the dust from our collection of toys and ceramic figures. Usually she did that, so I wasn't realise how much time consuming is this. We have one cabinet with few rows with all kind small subjects, which are memories for birthdays or travels. Sad but I realize I don't remember the back story of most of them. Which makes me to think for one great layout I saw at the gallery these days. You know me, I'm very sentimental, but I don't want to become a hoarder. Maybe I have to be one idea more critical to my collections. So today will try to re-organize some stuffs.

Chris, I hope this confusion with the days will give you one free from tasks day :) ! Sure hope you'll don't have to deal with new troubles from the insurance company! Fingers crossed appt to went fast and seamlessly! Yep, Tiny is the same, enthusiast to go out and after few meters want to go back home. At least we can just put her in handbag ;) . Good that at least W was in mood for walk! How is Floyd, by the way? Oh with sure for man is horrible to can't drive! Hope your dad soon to be able again!

Trudy, i hope you wouldn't have this Post-Vacation Blues which we had! Especially with moving of the kids I can imagine how hard is for you now. But at least you have what to expect. Hope your ankle get better soon! I bet to see the day born on Paris streets has been very pretty! Of course Louvre is always worth it, but personally I'm bigger fan of impressionism. But I'm not surprised you ain't have time for everything, there is so much to see and do. Maybe next time will can see D'orsay too! Did you wear your dress?

Nancy, I'm actually very excited to follow your Maine trip album! I love bridges too, such a pretty creations of the technological mind! I didn't understand do you have some photos from aboard of those small plane?! Have fun on the diner with your friends! You'll can exchange vacation photos and this is so exciting! I'm curious about the experience of this lady with the elephants. Did she think they are treat nice?! Ugh people at the social media really have to calm down! Some of them are really rude, even they are not able to do same as the artist/athlete they continued to be very nasty and without any sign of understanding or empathy. I hate when they comment some of the live performance, complaining that they are paid to watch the singer from the video, but he is been tired or slowly. Yeah, because he isn't a robot, and also he is experimentator and bored to repeat the same. It's maddening how they had chance to be on performance which they do not deserve, till the real fan have to watch it only online.

Jean, I'm so happy to hear you enjoying the time! Here is crisp these day too, so I share your enthusiasm. Did you found shorebirds?

Rae, hug strong J, all is matter of time and hope these worries soon will be away! Hope the time at trailer will be relieved! Google Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and see do this can help her at quit smoking. It looks ridiculous to do it, but at past it's helped me to stop one phobia.
