The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning, my dear Ooos!
Well, yesterday didn't go as planned but it is ok. Things will fall into place eventually, right? They will. :nod1:
The patio people never showed. They called in the afternoon and they are now coming on Thursday. The job they are currently working on needs more time. I wonder if the crazy rain on Monday set things back.
Gary wasn't feeling good at all, the humidity makes him feel awful and his blood sugar was running high. I felt bad and there isn't a darn thing I can do. He called a Chevy dealership to get Caitlyn's car in for the wipers. Turns out there is a recall on "wiper linkage" or something like that but only if it breaks. Well, that is helpful. pfft. We are going to my ILs on Friday and it turns out there is a dealership not too far from them. The ILs will pick us up from there and drop us off when it is done. See, things can fall into place. Cait will be taking my car to work and I'll use hers to get to Weis today. It isn't supposed to rain until later this afternoon so I should be good to go.

My big project was cleaning out the pantry cabinet and somehow ended up with less room than before I started, even though I threw out several opened boxes of soggy crackers. Talk about an exciting day!

The field trip today is going to be.... "interesting."
It is the one I feel like I have no idea what I am doing and the weather is going to be awful-- Real Feel indexes in the upper 90s. We'll just go nice and slow and whatever we do will have to be good enough.

What plans do you have for today? HAGD!

Lake Placid area is gorgeous. Last night after dinner we took a ride to the base of the ski jumps but i used my phone so shitty pics I will try to get better ones today. Going to the Olympic Museum today and hopefully John Brown farm nearby.
No pics of the patio yet, but I have time now that they won't start until tomorrow. My poor birds are coming to the porch and chirp at the window. I feel so bad and Gary put a small bowl of seeds out near the garden.
I thought of you yesterday too-- my milkweed is in bloom and the manarchs are all over them! I'll never have as many of them as you do but it is so exciting. ♥
Looking fwd to seeing pics of Lake Placid!
What a CRAZY day! I hate days like that! It just makes everything seem off! Glad you survived for another day!
Hahaha! That is all I can hope for :floorlaugh:
I loved your AJ challenge and was happy to get that one in the Gallery. Now I need to prep my week 4 challenge. (*ignoring that we are halfway through July*)
Were you able to get any of the scrap organizing done that you needed to do?
I did get some sleep last night and feel much better. @faerywings Chris your day sounds totally crazy!! I'm glad to the foot healing is goo and normal. That's a huge relief but man oh man, poor Caitlyn and her car. Must have wipers. That had to be a tense drive home.Yes, you can join me in my toddler fit of quitting adulting. We start the revolt just as soon as you arrive :floorlaugh:
On it, my friend! :killer: :angry3: :rollingpin1: :protest:
Glad to hear that you slept better, makes a world of difference, doesn't it?
Hope the pantry is ready to go for Fall cooking.
Today I'm biting the bullet and doing a factory reset on my iPad. It's using over 90% of its memory on the OS and apps, and I haven't added a ton of apps, plus I don't keep any data on it, so I think something is just not right and I'm starting over. Which shouldn't be hard but it's time-consuming.
Sending good reset vibes your way, although I hope it went smoothly and you didn't toss it out the window in the meantime.

Drove in circles around Morristown til I started running low on gas, had to find a bank drive-thru to cash a check so I could buy gas, it was dark and I couldn't find a pay phone, or even explain to my husband where I was if I found one. I eventually worked my way out but I've been traumatized ever since. I appreciate GPS, cell phones, and ATMs so much!
I feel your pain so very deeply here. I don't know if over the years it has gotten easier or more complicated driving through Morristown. Part of my mistake on Monday is that they renamed Madison Avenue from Rt 24 to Rt 124. Even though that happened ages ago, I still revert to my college commute. My mom got lost in Newark during the riots and was traumatized. I guess that is part of the NJ experience. Bwuahahaha!!

@MariJ I am sooo glad that you didn't have too much rain by you, glad that you didn't have to venture out. It was not fun. Gary just told me that the Plainfield area might be getting more heavy rains and flooding today. I hope that doesn't happen.
Thanks for the good thoughts about my foot too!

Lots of hugs to everyone!

@faerywings Put RainX on windshield to help shed rain. Walmart or auto parts stores sell it. Hubby uses it on his windshield all the time and as you know we drive allot. at faster speeds water runs off no need for wiper. It might help you till it gets fixed. Hoping for no rain for you!!!
So sorry your hubby is not well. That was kind of him to put seeds out for the feathered friends. They get used to the food source and get confused.
I hope your patio people show up today...so typical of workers now. My poor son had several people do work on his retirement house and they did shitty work. It's so frustrating!!!
I hope your day goes smoothly.

Be careful being outside today!
I hope Gary is feeling better today!
Glad to hear things will work out for getting Caitlyn's car to and from the dealership to fix the windshield wipers!
Yuck to the pantry cleaning! I started that job last week and quickly gave up!

Yes, I got SOME scraps organized. Still more to do, however! Yesterday I started working on our biking pages. Some of them were not printed before my EHD crashed last year so I am having to recreate them! Bummer!

Good morning,
Was able to get some of my scrap organizing done yesterday. While doing so, I realized that I was missing some of our bike trip pages. Then remembered why.....I lost those pages when my EHD crashed last year. So I spent some time yesterday recreating them! What a pain! I HATE re-doing things!
Today is more of the same.
Went to lunch with Mark and one of his co-workers yesterday. Probably the same today.
That's about it. I need to print out June's financial report to give to the pastor tonight first thing, or I will forget again!
Have a great day!

Good Morning.
Busy day yesterday. What did I do? I dont know. I just know I wasn't sitting down much. Oh yeah, cleaned the church pantry. Took the teens with me and we spent about 3 hours on it. Clearing everything out, organizing, throwing out crap from 10 years ago and all expired stuff. Why do we have a family size crockpot? Out! Why do we have squeeze bottles with no lids? Out! Crackers from 2015? OUT! I was in my happy place. A kitchen, and organizing. Maybe I should not say that out loud. Will confirm to you all just how crazy I am :floorlaugh: came home and started to cook (instant pot) some ten year old fish a friend gave me so I could turn it into dog food. Took all day long to cook 4 batches of fish and a round of rice. Was 9p. when I finished the doggy food and got it into the freezer. Then we babysat the grands. Whew it was a great day. The best part is I wasn't dying by the end. I was tired but I wasn't fall over and cry tired wore out like before my surgeries. I cant wait to finish the other surgeries and then I will be unstoppable!!! Well, as unstoppable as my 5th decade body will allow :floorlaugh: I cant even begin to explain how HUGE a difference things are post lipidema surgery. And were only half done.

@faerywings Chris your day sounded almost as crazy as mine. I agree with Debby on the RainX. That will help. Glad its a recall and you can get it fixed for nothing. Hopefully you dont have rain before its fixed.

Oh Vicky @vickyday I am with you. I dont like to remake LO. It just looses some of the joy of creating to re-create them. I'm sorry you lost them in the EHD crash. I hope you dont have to many to repeat.

The rest of this week/end is super crazy. Probably wont be here much. Fish are starting to arrive in number WOO HOO! Wildlife is here too LOL Mama Moose and her twins were eating all our trees this morning. Hubs had to shout at her to not eat the little apple trees son planted. We always have wildlife but man this moose and her babies are hanging around way more then normal. But they are so fun to watch. Dogs aren't so happy and tend to bark which isn't fun at 6 a.m. Its so funny to watch how fierce the dogs are when the door glass is between them and the world. :giggle4:

Fasting black coffee :bawling: but still need more. Have a wonderful day!

Why are you fasting?
I lost bike pages from 2023 on. I had prepaid for 50 and was just about there when the stupid ehd crashed! Oh well, it is what it is!

Fasting helps skin bounce back and retract. Now that my swelling is going away, I need to get the skin to shrink up a bit so I dont have to have skin removal. Once a week fasting (according to hubs) will help the skin naturally shrink back a hopefully keep skin removal from being needed. If I can do it now, before the next surgery I will be in better shape. My calves are good and wont need any help but at the moment top of thighs, where they rub together, has some loose loose skin. I dont want to do removal but if I cant get it better naturally I will have to. Think elephant legs only its just top inner thigh and looks weird.

Well, I have that and didn't have your surgeries! :floorlaugh:

It was overnight. One night it was fine (still swollen) the next like a deflated balloon. If I can get it to improve by even half I will be good and wont opt to remove. But we still have to do back of thighs and I fear it will get way worse if I can't get it to shrink now.

I donated blood this morning and this afternoon I am lightheaded and my blood pressure is quite low. That's never happened before; I donate regularly and never had a problem. I think it must be the heat and maybe not as hydrated as I should be. So I'm not bringing communion to the assisted living facility this afternoon but they will probably not even notice. I picked up a rotisserie chicken when I was out so dinner will be salad--no cooking.

It rained yet again yesterday evening. We could hear the thunder rumbling across the mountains long before the storm arrived. David thought that was a good time to go outside and get on a ladder to take down the lights over the patio. Then he got irritated with me when I told him that he shouldn't be out there while we're hearing thunder. There's a reason men's life expectancy is less than women's. Sheesh.

I'm sorry youre dealing with issues after giving blood. That's never fun. David cracks me up. Men. What are they thinking at times? Yeah, a storm happening sounds like a perfect time to go out and get on a LADDER! You said it, no wonder their life expectancy is lower. :giggle4:
