I am asking everyone for some good thoughts for my mom today, please. She spoke with her cardiologist yesterday and he wants her to go to the hospital this morning which is very smart. --In fact, she just called and then had to run off to throw up again--
So yeah, I need some good thoughts for her. The Dr didn't tell her to pack a bag, but it wouldn't surprise me if she ends back in for a night or so.
She called at dinnertime last night and told me not to worry. Ha. Just now, she sounds a bit stronger than she had but having to jump off the phone to throw up again. That can't be good.
Don't worry, she says.
Caitlyn is angry and the moment, that she wants to be able to hug her. She is terrified about losing any of her grandparents and not being able to see or touch them again. I get it.
Yesterday was kinda silly. Caitlyn and I did listen to Rent on the way to the store. As we sang along, we changed some of the words to be more appropriate to current times. Instead of singing "when you're living in America, at the end of the millennium" we sang- "two decades in the millennium" Doesn't roll *quite* as well off the tongue. hehe. But it is weird how the play was written in the early 90s during the AIDS epidemic and so much is the same. And it was based on La Boheme which was about TB, IIRC. And in 100 years will get rewritten with COVID.
It was gorgeous outside and I worked on getting the dead leaves of the tiger lilies cleared out and trained up the morning glory vines. We gave J and W theme songs. Jaida's is Brick House and Whisky's is Superfreak. We didn't give one to Ray since it isn't fair since she wouldn't be able to hear it.
No plans for today, only waiting for updates from my mom. I told her to bring her cell phone and charger, I hope she listens.
It is could out right now, chilly too. I started a page yesterday so I think that will be first up on my to-do list.
Gratitudes:
-that my mom is willing to call her Dr and go to the hospital, this time last year she would not have
-that my family will keep me laughing while I wait
-vitual hugs
