Hey there! Happy Wednesday. *waves*

Quick question for you... how many times do you think my mom is going to call about the cake today? If your answer is more than zero, I don't wanna hear it! #angry2
I *think* we have it all straightened out. Because if we don't, I am going to lose my mind. It is like my mom (whom I adore, you all know that) has to have something, anything to obsess over. (Apples/trees, pots and kettles. yeah, I know ... ;) ) I cannot tell you how many times I told her "It's just a cake" But it is ordered and hopefully that will be over and done with.

Quick question #2:
What do you think is going to be her new obsession?

She is looking so much better since she had the pacemaker in, she saw her kidney Dr and her cardiologist and just using their stethoscopes, neither is hearing the valve leak like before. My dad somehow "lost" his cane and was walking around my house without one. I offered to get him a walking stick, we have them all over the place but he said he was all good. On the Mom #2 front, my BFF sent me a picture of her mom smiling in her new assisted living apt. Smiling! I said, "it's a miracle!" LOL I am really happy for them both.

I am doing desk work today (bills ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) and then cleaning for my friend.

Quick question #3:
What weapon do you think I am going to knock over today?

HAGD and big hugs!

@taxed4ever That is absolutely wonderful that Heather and the boys will be spending the time with you at Jason's. I can't remember if your DS's family ever got another dog? Will they be bringing Pootchie with them too?
have a nice time on your hike today if you are going on it.

@scrap-genie That is really exciting that you learning and finding new information from the genealogy research class. Please don't forget to eat again :)

@bcgal00 you definitely need rest so listen to your body and let D take care of you xo

@tanteva ROTFLMAO!! Does IKEA have those supersized carts like the warehouse clubs? I would be terrified walking through there and filling one of them up and not even realize how much stuff was in there

@Cherylndesigns I logged in to Amazon (looking for a small USB desk fan my friend told me about) and logged right out LOL
ATM, the engagement party is at Tom's mom's house and will be a potluck. But apparently, she doesn't want a lot of people and her house is a dry house, so Caitlyn is not 100% sure that's what she wants. We will have to see...

Morning gals... awake and up before sunrise this morning. Yesterday was such a good day... had lots of fun with the Red Hat sisters at lunch - that ran from noon until 4:30PM! It was so much fun visiting and getting caught up what is going on with them. I did get my errands ran before the lunch then stopped on the way home to pick up some fresh fruit. It made for a long day out. The knee was and still is sore so need to try to stay off of it as much as possible today.

I am already started on copying/deleting files from the computer this AM. I can already tell it is making a difference as the copying is going much faster than it was when I first started with this a couple of days ago. I have my list of designers/kits to work on so that makes it easier to follow. At first, it was overwhelming as to who/what to remove - but now I have an orderly plan and it makes sense. Have to LOL when I saw some kits from 2014-2015 that I haven't touched or looked at since I used them back then! No point in keeping them on the computer! OH.. now I remember! I stopped copying and deleting files when my 'old' computer died and I got the 2TB computer I now use. That was back in 2013 if I remember right. Thought I would never use up all that space. #mad #dk It is a good thing that the tech guy won't be here until late next week. Hope to have most of the files that I don't need copied and removed by then. And then the big job of putting the files onto the new ExHD will begin. At the rate it is going... I will working on this until sometime in August!!! I did let Ona know that I wouldn't be able to scrap while all this is going on.

I will try to drop in and let you know how things are going. But as you can imagine... my days will be full with this project.

IKEA have carts in every sizes. Like everything else with IKEA, it's brilliantly planned. You can get a tiny cart if you want - or a huge to transport those big flat boxes with furniture. And a couple of sizes in between. I could talk for hours on how much I love IKEA, but I won't bore you. On the other hand, we did get lost at least 5 times yesterday. LOL It used to be easier, you could only walk one way, follow the arrows and get from start to finish. But now they have short cuts, and everythings in a circle, and the "maps" are linear and totally confusing. I usually have a good sense of direction, but that DOES NOT work once I enter IKEA: too much nice things to look at.

Got some utensils for the kitchen, some Variera boxes in 2 sizes to organize my pantry, a lamp for my crafting table (mine is white though) and different bits & bobs, that you always tend to buy once you're in there. Didn't overdo it though, we spent about $150 all in all. Had dinner at the restaurant - their vegetarian plant balls with potatoes - ok, but not WOW. The price for a dinner out was WOW though. LOL

Since it's a bigger town than ours, we also went to the big grocery store beside IKEA afterwards, to check out their vegetarian & Asian isles. Did get some food, but not much. It was a nice day out. Urban was "behaving", in the way that he at least pretended to like IKEA and help picking out stuff. LOL

Now to the hard part - organizing my pantry. Stresses me out a little bit, cuz it's really full & the order I once created disappeared ages ago.

Adding an extra question for you all:
How old will the oldest expiration date be that I'll find on something in there?
A small hint: we moved into the house in October 2010.

Morning everyone, quickly popping in to say good morning and then I am off to my hike. It is another beautiful day, so it should be a great day for a walk in the woods! Its a bit far away so I have to get going right away. I iwll try to get in here later on to catch up with all of you. Yesterday was spent staring at my PhotoShop and not getting any thing done in the way of scrapping, but I did start to work on my painting project for my SIL's boyfriend. It is a slow process, but hopefully it won't take too much longer. Ok I gotta get going or I will be late! CYL

I predict 3 times today. BWAHAHA Her new obsession??? Hmmmmm maybe she'll want to change the cake to a Bundt cake. LOL That does take a different and unique pan. About the weapons - just DON'T drop one of them on either one of your feet!! Good luck and handle with care.

Good morning ladies. I finally feel like I have some energy today. I went out for a walk this morning at 7 and met a few people along the way at the park. One I will see again in the fall at the photo club and the other often walks the park so we finally said hi and chatted. Saw a sandpiper bird (first one I've seen) and two sets of duck families. I got to watch a mama deer with her baby. I came upon her accidentally and knowing that mama's are fiercely protective of their fawns I stood still and just watched them, them slowly backed away. I finished up my walk by photographing the flowers. It felt good to be out walking in the sunshine although once it hit 30 I was sweating to death and happy to get into the car a/c. I feel like I'm on the mend finally. The nodes are still very swollen but I think that'll take time to recover. It felt so good to walk and not be exhausted and dizzy.

Popping in to let you know that I’m alive. The neighbor had the builder come out to regrade part of his yard. They had left him with an awful wet spot. Today the guys showed up and started working and they cut our internet cable. So, at 8:45, I was no longer able to work. Since I am a contract employee, if I don’t work, I don’t get paid. Last week with the 4th of July and the trip to UF for preview for two days, I really was counting on a full week of work. AT&T said they will be out between noon and 4 to fix it. So at least half a day without internet tomorrow. Ugh. But, it does give me time to buy some more things from Syd’s dorm list during Amazon Prime. And I have a few kits to scrap with, so I’m not totally without things to do.

Yesterday’s fiasco was the dentist. Long story, but the bottom line is they wasted my time. I find that I am losing my patience as I age. Off to figure out which dehumidifier is the best for the dorm room. Hugs to all of you and hoping to get back to normal soon. @Cherylndesigns , I don’t know how you lived through your internet trials!

It wasn't easy! I had to leave the house every day, with my laptop and find wifi. Oh, horrors!!! Sorry you had these problems today and the dentist - UGH. I have the patience of a gnat these days.
