Holy cow, I am *tired!* I mean like I should go back to bed and sleep for days tired. W woke me up around 2 am to go outside and I literally could not move. Poor girl kept whining at me and all I could do was mumble to her, gimme a minute...

I know you are all wondering (heh ;) ) "What made Faery so tired yesterday? All she had to do was pick up food and steam clean two tiny rooms." You would be correct in assuming that is all I had to do. That catch was that I had to do it with no hot water. We have hot water baseboard heating and the heating runs off of the furnace. We have very, *very* hard water (we live in an area that was known for iron mining) so Gary has to clean the build-up off of the coils every few months. As he and Scott were doing that (have to turn off the heat and hot water to do so), the whole system got clogged up. There has been enough circulation of water to keep the heat on but not to run hot water. So no showers for us, no washing of dishes. Now we are dealing with the lovely possibility that if the different descaling solution doesn't fix it, we will need to get a new furnace. :faint2:

The grocery order was interesting since I couldn't edit the original cart so I ended up with three loaves of bread and 2 gals of milk but heck, at least I got food! The carpets look great and hopefully, no one will have accidents in the next few hours.

We ended the night playing MadLibs together. Scott was hysterical, I got him a Pirate MadLib book and the first story was "How to Talk Like a Pirate" so he did. :yarpirate

Today we have to wait for the descaler to arrive and hope that it works and then race to get into the shower. We have baby wipes but that just isn't the same. Worst case scenario we can boil water like in the old days but no way will Cait and I be able to wash our hair. Good thing we have nowhere to go. (Again.) haha!!

My brain is fuzzy so I am going to get more coffee, anyone like a cup? :tea:
Hugs and HAGD!

I have been sitting on my butt too long-- quick personals and then I got either 1. move or 2. go back to bed

Kay- waking up that early is the pits, hope that your sleep cycle settles in a bit for you. I bet your haircut feels great!
The thing that gets me is that W usually goes into her crate to throw up but the DR where her crate is was all messy from the floor project. Lose-lose for all of us. My parents also swear by the early senior hours, and my mom will shop at the tiny Trader Joe's near her at 8 am. Be very careful when you head out.

Trudy- jealous of your great sleep. I woke up several times before W woke me up to check the special election results. Once this is over, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to sleep better. All of the snow melted so my yard is very soggy too. We have plenty of time to clean them up when it is warmer and dry :D
Your avi really looks amazing.
Gary took a couple of pics of the room so I will have to snag them from FB.

Nancy- do you think your DS will be able to convince your DH to use the tracking app? Maybe coming from him instead of the "naggy wife" (Not that you are, just the way husbands sometimes react to us! :D ) will help convince him?
I went to the covid.nj.gov website this morning to register. I *might* be in an earlier group because of my cancer history. I hope that you are able to get registered, site was up this morning.

Felis- I have that guilty admission that I liked the Twilight books- the writing was kind of ridiculous but they kept my interest and were nice light reading. I agree with the movies/actors. Is The Host a newer book of hers?
Good luck with your banking issues today. And that is such good news- between your friend and the cats, yes-- all good signs for the new year

Cheryl- awwww- now I miss Daisy LOL Glad that you figured out the avi/profile pic stuff. You look adorable too!
Don't worry about your tombstone- I still haven't unpacked stuff from my attic when we put the addition on this house in 2003. *G* I really love how you are writing Scripture on the house beams. I am not religious myself, but it really is such a wonderful idea of a home blessing. Really happy that it lessened your stress levels.

xoxo

Hello, my lOvelies!
So here I am. Wearing push-up bra in case that clerk is man and my luxury boots if is woman, I arrive early in the morning at the bank to explain why I'm delayed payment. Fortunately the lady (was woman clerk) is not idiot, she is already tired to deal with the same situation from the beginning of the year, and probably also want to be somewhere else on some celebration of this good christian holiday with lovely weather! She nods sympathetically, and is so kind (which is unusual for my country): "Of course, of course, yes I see you're being loyal before!", "Yes, yes it's a very common situation these days, but NO what the prime minister promised is valid only for selected companies (what a surprise  )", I signed some documents to declare that I'm understand why the fine is, and paid $1.5 more. $1.5, I paid ten times more to travel to the capitol, just to sign this document. I already was paid the fine at my town, and it's no sense for me why was necessary this tete-a-tete conversation.
However I did it, a hearty slap on the back for the efforts! And to not be totally waste of money for this traveling, we went to the grocery store too. Pfff, it was so crowded! It makes me sad and angry how government was try to forbids today's christian ritual at the rivers, on open space and clean air, but continued to be OK people to met other strangers. I definitely don't tell to close stores, as this is the last working industry, just that they have to be more rational about holidays and family meetings!!! I Was satisfied to hear at the news that many people did not listen and rituals was made! We are follow these rituals during slavery, wars and we have to stay stick to them! With social distancing, masks and high higiene of course!

Now about the personal notes for last few days, I'm read them every day, but forming answer takes me long time, so I'm not able to do it, or did it short, my apologies for that! But I care, of course I do, I clearly do!

Chris, Hope Whisky is feeling better? Is that happens because of the floor varnish smell? Poor baby! Hooray for Scott and the Environmental Stewardship program!, you should be proud with him (I know you are , it's strange way for compliment that people says)!
Hmm, with risc to disgust you, women's here wash their hair on every 3th day. Seriously it's bad for the hair structure to wash it on daily basis, you can google this, so 2 of the showers are only body anyway. Your game nights always sounds so fun!
Nope the Host is old book, but my favorite book ever, I'm grateful that she not make it series as it was promised, because it's perfect by itself and can only spoil it!
I Would love to share cup of coffee with you with sure! Is that americano or irish coffee? :pound: :choclove

Kay, LOL, we know that I'm not a example for responsibility, and why to waste time if kit links works?! But I'll try to download them anyway, somewhere at the bright future LOL!
Congrats for your haircut, how clever move for the beginning of the year to get rid of old energy!

Trudy, with so much rain you'll have your own swimming pool at the backyard :pound: . I don't know, the earth here needs wet so much, so I'm grateful for every form of water, but still prefer snow  Hmm, I can't see the pics of the card :) ?!

Nancy, I was sad to learn for Gerry Mardsen! At least artists, especially musicians lives forever via their music!
Ughh, your husband is like my momy, she also never upgrade or clean her phone history and it's runing so slow. So when she is not able to upload or start new program for 10 seconds, she just give up and sulk until some of us do it for her. So was you able to make it works for him? This is very clever device!

Cheryl, OMG, i adore this idea for a "house blessing" and such things! My culture have deep pagan roots and I strongly believe in these energy charge things.

Jean and Betty Jo, :( I was hoping to be more in mood for chat this year!

Good morning, lovelies. Chris, I hope Gary got the iron off your water lines (?) is that the right term? No hot water? Yikes! That would not be good! Hot water just cleans better!

We're not particularly religious either, but we've all written scriptures on the beams of our houses. We also wrote Cherokee Prayers as well as Scriptures. I have a Cherokee Prayer written beside my scraproom window, which I look out of all day and it soothes me, even though it's covered up now. I also have rocks (under the flooring) in each corner of the house (another Native American ritual). My dd's house is very large so it took 4 of us writing like crazy to get mostly done. We were losing our light, so we had to stop.

Felis, the religious ritual sounds lovely but it also sounds like your government is giving you a hard time over it. Am I understanding this correctly? This whole situation, all over the world, is terrible! I seem to pick up a little sarcasm? No? I'm very sarcastic over a lot of the things they're trying to make us do.

We love "blessing our houses" - this is the third family home we've blessed. We started collecting Scriptures and Cherokee Prayers that were pertinent to home and family about 3 years ago and it's just so empowering to write these on the beams of our houses and know they're always going to be there. We also "annoint" the doors with olive oil (which we haven't done yet). I'm not sure "the guys" totally understand why we feel compelled to do this, but they go along with it. Haha

Hugs to all - and those of you who haven't stopped by yet. Yes, I got my Daisy off of my avi and I miss her face. You're all stuck with my mug now. Thanks for anybody who steered me in the right direction yesterday.

Love and group hug.

Morning O-zies!! It has finally stopped raining and we did not get the big wind storm in our area yesterday. I am happy I don't have to go into the backyard and clean up branches and fir cones!! Today I will be meeting my sister Pam at my other sister's place to deliver birthday gifts to our sister Wendy and have a social distant visit. I wish I could give my sisters a big hug!! I miss them and our get togethers that we used to have. Oh well this will have to do for now. Yesterday's swim was great and again the lady that I share a lane with only stayed for a total of 20 mins so I had the lane to myself for the remainder of the hour. Lots of unfamiliar faces there yesterday, so I guess the New Year's resolution people have started showing up LOL. Many will not stay, but hey at least they are trying right!

Chris - Ugh I feel so badly for you that you have not been sleeping! I hope that changes for you very soon! I am happy that you got your steam cleaning done and hopefully there are no more throwing up incidents to deal with! Sure hope that the de-scaler works and you can all get to have a shower!! Try to have a nap at some point today!!

Felis - LOL I would love to be able to have my own swimming pool in the backyard!! I did not take a photo of the card that I made for my niece so that is why you could not see it LOL. Hope that you get the snow that you love to have so much and glad that you got things all straight with the bank! Yes it seems silly that all the Malls are open and people everywhere, yet no church services :noidea:

Cheryl - The blessing for your new home are a wonderful idea! So glad that you were able to to do it and that it brings you some Joy! I miss Daisy too, but your mug is pretty nice to look at also LOL. You have such a lovely smile! I hope you have a creative day!

Ok I need to get into the shower and get ready to see my sisters. I have had a nice face time with just Heather this morning and we got her dinner for tonight started, she is making my stew recipe for the first time in her crockpot, so I helped her go through the steps. Hunter is at Day Care and Mason is doing classes today online. He will be back to school next week, as long as the numbers are not horrible again. Heather would like to have a day to herself. Wish I could be there to help out! Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! Be Kind, Be Calm and Be Safe!

good day - I am watching live the accreditation of the Electoral College Votes. So far we have gotten through two states Alabama and Alaska and then came Arizona which went for Biden and now we had an objection and it will be a two hour debate to come to the realism that Biden won in Arizona. This should not take this long. Oh well. My youngest son and his MG brought us beef stew for dinner. It was delicious. Had a good time. They are so cute. And they brought me 4 cases of diet Dr. Pepper. Had a good walk with Luther but have yet to have my DH get it to work. Oh well. I feel it is his loss. And no he does not let anyone have his phone because while he does not like to do it he wants to do it himself so he could do it again. I will be out with Luther soon. I was so tired yesterday that I did not even stay up to see the end of the Gold Medal hockey game. The US was ahead of Canada 2-0 at the end of 2 periods so I felt comfortable going to bed. I woke up to go to the bathroom and checked and the US did win so that made me happy. I also saw that Georgia seems to go Democratic. As I said I am thinking positive this year.

Chris well I was shocked that Mitch McConnell just broke with Trump. Again I am having positive thoughts. Hope that you can sleep better now. OH no no hot water! Gosh I sure hope the descaling works. Glad you can laugh at your food ordering. I did not myself registered and told my family to get themselves registered.

Felis sorry about having to go to the capital and that the trip costs more that what they wanted you to pay. But your ideas of how to dress cracked me up but I hate to think it matters how you dress. Should not we be passed that by now.

Cheryl I love how you have blessed your homes. If I ever build a house I will do it.

Trudy have a great visit with your sisters. Glad the rain and wind was not too bad. I cant say sorry Canada lost because I am happy that the US won the hockey game. But I can say that I feel so bad for the players - they put their hearts into winning the games and it must be unbelievable that they lost. I have to say that I loved that the Captains of the teams handed out the medals.

Waving to all
Have a great day

Awwwwww, thanks for the "Daisy Love", Trudy. You would have really loved the little stinker today. It's been raining here like crazy and she needed to go out. She's a "country dog" now and she took off. Finally came back - totally drenched to her skin. She was in Seventh Heaven - I wrapped her in towels and dried her off. She's a "polyester dog".

Nancy, we've had so much joy from blessing our homes. This is the third home (in our family compound) that we've blessed. My granddaughter blessed hers, then ours was and now my dd and sil's. It's such a wonderful, bonding feeling.

I'm on limited wifi - we're running our laptops and minimal TV on a hotspot, but if i ever get back to normal wifi, I'll add pictures from yesterday. It was a wonderful, family experience. My dd, 2 gd's and myself - and my gd (who's still at home) got to write on her own bedroom beams. We got some great pictures.
