Ittttttssssss Hump Day! Does that mean anything to anyone at this point? Especially after the holidays? Not here. It's just another day.
It was nice being home yesterday but I worked my butt off. Who knew that shredding papers was going to be exhausting? LOL I had to take breaks because the shredder was overheating. I also threw away CDs for computers and programs that we haven't had in years. Like Windows 7. it doesn't feel like I put a dent in it but there are two overstuffed Amazon boxes ready to go out for recycling today.
I also spoke to my mom for a long time. Everything I had told my dad and brother in my emails was exactly how she was feeling. I also tried my best to get her to see how her mood was coloring her perceptions and she was perceiving slights that weren't there And again, I encouraged her to get out of the house, volunteer at the library. She said that they used to ask her to do that but they stopped asking because she always turned them down. I strongly suggested that she ask them and I'd put money on it that they would be thrilled to have her. I know, I am saying the same damn things I have been saying for years. None of this is new to you or to her.
I am picking up my groceries this morning and then will be taking Jaida to PT. I am not sure if Gary is going with me. He has been feeling awful and his Lyme-Brain is not good. I'm a little concerned about driving that far with her (it's a little under an hour away) but in NJ you have to have dogs seatbelted. We never got our dogs seatbelts because we usually only take them around the corner to the vet or the park. Hopefully, the trazodone will keep her calm enough in the back seat by herself. Usually, Gary would drive and I'd sit in the back with her.
I started two scrap pages yesterday and want to upload them when I get back.
J is ready to out, BRB!

How can you make Pasta fagiole without the pasta? LOL!!!!
. Believe me it is still delicious!! I think that I might pack some of it in my bag today for our lunch on the hike. I will try to get a few more recipes for the instapot for you soon too. I make bratwurst in the pot with bone broth and it only takes about 5 mins I have that and scrambled eggs for my brunch quite often. Sounds like you did a huge purge of a bunch of old stuff yesterday, good for you and yes I have burned out a couple of shredding machines doing the same. The grands loved it when I would get them to help me shred stuff, they thought it was great fun using the shredder until it burned out LOL. Hope you manage to keep J quiet in the back seat for your trip to PT! I also hope that your Mom takes your advice and calls the library about volunteering, it would be great for her I am sure!

It was good to beat the crowds too!
