Oh myyyy! I read what I wrote yesterday and it was a loooooong day. I can't believe that was only 24 hours ago LOL!!
Everything was all- as my friend would say- cattywampus. Which is an actual word! I spelled it with a U (cattywumpus) and my spell check flagged it. ROTF!

I woke up not in the best of head spaces and it kind of slid all around. Caitlyn got a notice from the IRS that she had credit on her acct ( :D ) but when I looked into it more, it was b/c they never got her actual return, only the payment. ( :( )
I had to look into TurboTax to see what happened, and I don't have the software anymore. Gary went down to his dad's to get the CD. Unfortunately, this computer doesn't have a disk drive. ()
Gary is going to rig something up when he is done working on his laptop that for fried when he spilled a glass of water on it.
Yup, it was that kind of day/

When he got back from his dad's, he yelled up to me wondering WTH happened to Jaida. I had no idea but yikes, she had a huge gash on her hip. It wasn't bleeding a lot but it was big and disgusting. We have no idea what happened to her. We thought maybe she and W got into a play fight but I sure didn't hear anything.
Gary brought her to the vet who said it looked like she got caught on something-- what that could be, no idea. But she needed to get staples to close it up. She is supposed to be wearing a cone but she freaked out when Gary tried to put it on her. I am heading to the feed store first thing this morning to look for one of the donut ones instead.

I did sit in front of my therapy light for a while, I need to do that on a regular basis for it to make a decent difference in my mood. I am cleaning for my neighbor this afternoon so maybe when I get back I can sit with some tea. *looks at clock* Meh. It's only 8 hours from now. :/

My gratitude ATM-- the sun is out. The days are slightly longer.

:D

Have fun today!

@LSlycord Poor Hayden! W gets a lot of ear infections too. J is my anxious one. She doesn't like to go outside on her own so this morning she just stood in the open door why I was trying to get my boots on. (10*F!) I am only taking one dog out at a time so she didn't have W to go down the steps first. SMH!
Any new news about the foster? Do they think he is 100% deaf? Poor baby. Ray was deaf the last two or so years of her life, we did a lot of arm-waving to get her attention LOL

@tanteva Mice are able to squeeze into the smallest places- we think they get in behind our dishwasher too.
Good luck with the ultrasonic repellent. I have heard that they work well. We can't use them because of Caitlyn's rats. When we had cats we would rarely get any mice upstairs and you could always tell when they were running under the heating vents.
Your tofu sounds good but way too spicy for me. Scott loves that chili paste and puts it on regular food. I am a wimp when it comes to spicy food. They make fun of me.

@BrightEyes that is good to hear that you are sleeping better and that the stress is lessening. You deserved that holiday meal, you have lots to celebrate <3
Did you get to talk to Leslie again? Hope she is improving every day

Thank you all for the good thoughts for Scott. No one can fully comprehend how much and how fast she changed. If you told me 6 weeks ago this is what happened, I would never believe it, not in a million years.

@taxed4ever You must be growing moss with all of the damp and fog!
How was the visit with your ILs? I have *no* idea what it is like to have stubborn, I mean "independent" old people to worry about bwuahah
Congrats to you both on losing weight!

@bcgal00 It is great to see you here too. We will all take our lead from you-- we are here to listen whenever you need us

posting quickly, I have to move cars in the driveway BRB

Rae-- I cannot imagine the anger you have too, I know how angry *I* am, which is minuscule to what you feel.
Hang on to that hope- you and D and J are so strong together. Keep laughing at the dogs too, what a joy they must be. I know it isn't the way that you wanted to leave your job but you need this time to focus on yourself and the family. Good luck with the realtors, I hope that everything goes smoothly for you.

Trudy- I hope Heather has a good set of earplugs! Mason is going to have a great time with the drums, has Hunter decided he wants to play too? Scott had a mini drum kit when he was probably Mason's age, then a full-size kit when he was older. That was fun. *eye roll*
Expensive vet bills- oh yes... it will be $500 in 48 hours between the two appts. All I can say is thank goodness that J only needed staples, they were able to do that right then under local anesthesia. Any bigger of a wound and it would have had to be general anesthesia and surgery. *gets a bit woozy thinking about that*
How is Poochy doing?

Eva- I would love to see how you did the mandala too, if you don't mind writing something up!

@Cherylndesigns Good for you and productivity! Can I get some? How nice to get out for a walk and look for some plants. The only color on my lawn is the yellow snow haha!
I can't believe that I still haven't posted any photos of Linguini O'Brian.
Yes. That is the new skeleton's names and if anyone has a problem with that, you have to take it up with Cait. (go ahead, I dare you. hahaha!)
Hmm. Would that be "go a-heads?"
20220102_103324.jpg
Don't ask me which one is Linguini and which one is O'Brian. *snorts*

On that note, I hope this leaves you with a smile, or at least a shake of the head wondering how bonkers Faery's family is

xoxo

Ok...it has taken me awhile to get in here. And even longer to type more than one sentence. Good grief! Decker came last night and did a sleepover. We apparently are kind of an ideal family...someone who finally appreciated my approach to safety and risk mitigation. Right now the dogs require total separation. So Andie and Hayden are upstairs in the master where Brian works all day. They have plenty of room to roam, Shaun took their food up there, so they are good to go. Decker on the other hand has free run of the downstairs so he is with me. He paces and paces...kept Shaun awake most of the night and Shaun can sleep through anything.

I don't know how much I'll be in here today. But I sure won't be doing anything else except dog sitting so I may show up.

Doing a happy dance... L is being transported to a rehab hospital right now!!! Was messaging her back and forth when they said "Let's go!" She thought it would be later on today but the respiratory therapist finished and said she was okay to go. Great news to start my day off right. :D

I did make a big pan of apple crisp yesterday afternoon. Oh... it was yummy for dessert last evening. Have 7 servings in the freezer for later on. The cold front came through last night... but no snow here in the valley... but it snowed east of us.

@LSlycord cute photos of Decker and the other dogs. Yes, keeping them separated for now is best. Walking them will give them a change to get acquainted.

@faerywings LOL... not sure who is who in the pic... Glad you are getting a bit of sunshine and hope the light helps you.

@tanteva You crack me up!!! Yes, it is the new normal!

@taxed4ever Really hope you are not growing moss from all the foggy weather! Heather will need some earplugs with the drum-playing going on. It is so much fun to see his excitement over them.

Oooops... gotta take the phone call. BBL

Good morning everyone! Guess what??? Yup its another very foggy day  . Just popping in quickly today as I need to get showered and dressed and head off to the Dentist soon. Oh what fun ( I hate going to the Dentist!!). It's just a cleaning, but they always hit a nerve or two and I practically hit the roof when that happens LOL. Then I am off to my sister's to have a small piece of birthday cake with her. Us three sisters are finally able to get together for Wendy's birthday that was on the 4th of January. I already gave her a gift and card, but my other sister was sick (still don't know if it was covid or not) and she has self isolated for a few weeks now, so she is finally able to get out and have a visit. I did manage to do another layout yesterday with the new colour play gorgeousness and hope to do another one later on today. I also got Heather's birthday card made and took some photos of the finished product. I have had these beautiful papers for awhile now and knew they would be the perfect choice for her card.

Sorry I don't have time for personals this morning, but will catch up with all of you later on! Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Good morning ladies. I wasn't even sure what day it was. Things are happening so quickly here. We will be arranging a small service for B with just family and a few close friends. Realtors are coming today and tomorrow to assess the house value and get it onto the market. The house is a mess (you know I'm a packrat and haven't done much of anything during this COVID time but it won't matter, the market is hot right now). There are no listings in our area so that is a really good thing for us. Wish us luck. Hopefully we get it sold in the next couple of wks. If not, it wasn't meant to be but we will be happy if are able to go full speed ahead and get out of here. We have a realtor in Kamloops so will be going up in a few wks for 2-3 days to look around. My mind is numb and at the same time boggled with how quickly things are transpiring now. I keep saying a little prayer for my mom and B up there to help guide us, for the universe to provide what we need.

@faerywings Poor Jaida, hope she heals quickly.

@taxed4ever I'll message you soon so we can chat about your card making and what supplies I can send over to you. I've started a box of ribbons and buttons and stuff but maybe you don't use those? We'll have to talk soon.

I've had a rest for a few minutes, time to get a few things done before the first realtor comes this morning. Have a good day everyone.

Good afternoon all.

I can't believe it's 3 pm! I did a dumb thing this am. Woke up WAY early - wide away and sat down at the computer (not even any coffee because I didn't want to wake everybody up). I had a blog post to do so I started working on that and finished it. Then, I decided to lay back down, never thinking I'd go back to sleep. I didn't wake up until noon!! I didn't sleep very well again last night, so my sleep habits are kind of screwy. Well, they'll probably be screwy tonight too.

Yes, I had one of the best days I've had for a long time yesterday! I realized, last night, that it was the first day my arm and shoulder didn't ache (since I got my booster!) That had to be why my mood was so elevated! Plus the sun is shining and is again today and it's almost 45 degrees right now and supposed to warm up.

Chris @faerywings that picture of "the kids" made me laugh out loud. WHERE in the world did Cait find that 2 headed one??? BWAHAHA I'd forgotten you just got that one and the names you give them make them even more hilarious! Tex and Lexi are tucked away in my Halloween/Fall boxes - I probably shouldn't have done that, but our house isn't very big and it gets cluttered so quickly. If I decide to put them out on the porch, they're only up at Adrienne's. Otherwise, I'd have to hang them on the wall in the laundry room. ROTF

Rae @bcgal00 wonderful to see you popping in - I hope everything goes smoothly for you all and I think it's great that you've decided to move. We have to talk one of these days, ok? Let's put that on our "future agenda" along with your boxing stuff up for Trudy.

Kay @BrightEyes such wonderful news about Leslie being transferred. Your dessert was well-deserved after all you've been through and I'm sure you thoroughly enjoyed it.

Linda @LSlycord LOVE the pictures of the doggies. Those are some big dogs (your two). You're brave to take on a foster dog with a disability.

I'm going to get off of here - Adrienne is stopping by about 3:30. We have a mobile groomer parked in front of our house - gee I need to take a picture!!! First time - both dogs are out in it getting their groomings. The lady already said they both had matts and she'd probably need to take them down. Oh well, it'll grow. Lily did NOT want to get in, but of course, Daisy bounced right in.

Oh, darn I almost forgot - Trudy @taxed4ever that card is gorgeous!!! You are SO talented!!! Your dd will love it!!
