I posted on FB a bit ago that it is too early, too dark and too cold. And I have not changed my mind since then.
But it is what it is, and at least I will bet getting everything back on track and on a schedule of sorts. That's the good part of it all. Oh. And I have coffee. That is always good.

I am off to work today for the woman with the 12 kids, and a pet store. Hopefully there will be no drama there today. But if there is, at least it is not *my* drama, right? :D
I also have got to finish packing away the Christmas tree. I got a bunch done yesterday but there are still missing ornament boxes in the attic, plus the actual tree has to come down too. It was much nicer when we had a real tree and we just dragged it outside and left it in the woods to recycle itself to the earth. Baby steps again, right? It will all get done eventually.

WWW
I wish it was as fun and had help taking the tree down as I do when we put the tree up. LOL
I wish/hope that work is an easy day.
I want this be be a great start to the new year!!!!

Happy New year Linda S! Hope you enjoyed your quiet day, you deserve it.Oh-- Isaw that you linked up your "You've Got a Friend page a few days ago when I was cranky. Thank you so much again!!! I'd been meaning to say that all week.

Trudy- that sounds like my kind of New years! Not boring at all. Comfy and cozy!

Diane- Sounds like a very nice evening as well!

Ellen- hope that you are feeling better today. Being sick is no way to start the new year.

Nana ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) That sounds like a very much no-win situation. How did the day go with the father?
I wish that dream was real for you too.

Nancy- Have you ever gone to Times Square for NY's? When I was younger I always though it would be fin, now I just think those people are insane. :) You dinner sounds delish! you friend must be very talented in the kitchen. I am going to have to look for that garlic knot recipe too, love them!

Clara- you must be sooooo excited for your family to come in!!! yay!!!!!

Terry, not a good homecoming at all :(
Good luck with everything, that must be a really difficult decision.

Phyllis- happy day for you today!!!!! To all of you who have had to deal with your hubbies home this week, do you see why I am cranky all of the time with mine home 24/7?? Buhahahahhha!!! Good thing I love him, cuz he sure as heck drives me cray. :D
P- enjoy your equilibrium-filled day! That is a good feeling. And woot on scrapping and no zig zags!!!!

It felt like a Sunday to me too- one of the few "shining lights" is that it is only a 3 day week!!

Laurie- ick on the bad roads but what a nice way to spend your New Years with YMG!

Morning O fam- trying a new routine today that I hope will get everything important to me done and me out the door to work on time, so far, so good. It helps knowing I have tomorrow off! I am back to my morning routine of exercise. Yes it is done, then I stepped on the scale- glad my official weight was taken monday am and it was up 2 because today- well lets just say up even more- bring on the water today that will help in a big way. It is cold here today- 14 degrees F on my porch which means colder out side. Guess it is a bundle up kind of day! I will catch you all on the flip side before I crash! Maybe at lunch on my tablet if I get signal.

Lost it again...and the ctrl-V didn't return anything. (Oh since you can't see the previous post, you don't know that I have already lost this message twice today.) So with that, I'm just going to say, hope everyone has a great day! Oh, and I HATE Windows 8.

Good morning - up at 4 am to watch the US play the Czech Republic. But the amazing thing was I came down to a really clean kitchen. My son said taking more responsibility is his new year's resolution. And we know how long those last LOL. It was a great game for the US as they won 7-0. I always wonder if a team only gets so many goals to score and if you use them all up against one team are there any left to score against the next team which for the US is the Canadians. Trudy it will be a great game with both goalies Gibson and Subban playing so well. I am just so glad the US made it to the medal games after last year's 7th place.

Trying to finish up my Dec daily album.

Chris - I have never been to NYC Times Square on NYE. I like you am not crazy. You have to get there early and it is usually cold and no drinks. I will probably wear Depends as some point in my life LOL but I am not going to do it on purpose just to see a ball drop. Now if I could be up with Ryan Seacreast then yes I would go. And yes it is cold and dark and early.

Sounds like everyone had New Years in their own way which is pretty cool!

Have a great day.

brrrrr!! but at least i think i see a little glint of sunshine. yesterday here was the gloomiest day i have ever seen! i want at least a LITTLE sun!!

Chris, i can't imagine what a house with 12 kids in it looks like. in fact, i can't imagine 12 kids in ANY sense. and you are a SAINT. if my husband was home every day (whoops...he's going to be retiring in a few year....) someone would have to GO. at least for a few hours every day.

Linda, i had to laugh at your posting disappearances. i can't even count how many times that has happened to me here. it does sort of take the wind out of your sails and makes you say, "oh, to HECK with it!!"

Laurie, do you ever get discouraged with the exercise thing? i just marvel at how you stick with the plan!

Nancy, i used to think that about goals when my son was playing! i feel so far away from hockey, i can't even remember what it was like being a Hockey Mom. too bad. there is a part of me that misses the whole scene! i am SOOOO impressed with your clean kitchen. no one in my family would even THINK to do something like that.

off to Sam's Club to buy a thousand rolls of paper towel and a vat of something or other. doing laundry and enjoying having the house to myself again.

Merry Wednesday, O-zies! do something you love.

Morning O-zies brrrr its cold here this morning!! Heat pump comes on then shuts off then comes on right away again brrrr! But no snow so that's ok!! I feel bad for the hummingbirds that have decided to stay all winter! Crazy birds, if it was me I would have flown somewhere much warmer for the winter!! LOL Off to work today doing the cash balancing and then statements all day, I get to spend the day with my good friend in the back office so that's nice, its the only time we get to visit. Then off the next day and probably working straight through the weekend for Inventory weekend uggh!! Oh well only one weekend a year, so I really should not complain!

Chris - Yikes have fun cleaning the zoo!! Then I hope you have the energy to get the rest of your tree put away! MG and I worked all morning and got everything put away yesterday, its like Christmas never happened at our house  should I send him over to help you? It would get him out of my hair for the day!! :becky:

Laurie - Hope your new routine works out for you! I am afraid to step on the scale, I've been very bad lately and as I look at my christmas photos it is definitely time to do something about it!! Hope your day is great!

LindaS - Sorry that you are having such propblems with your new Windows 8 !! It is so frustrating when you lose your posts!! Hopefully the rest of your day is not so bad!! Maybe you should trade your new computer in for a Mac?? Just saying :tape:

Nancy - looking forward to watching the US and Canada hockey game!! Bring it on! Always so exciting to watch this great hockey! Sure wish the times where better for seeing the games though!! Have to check to see when this game will start. Have a great day in your clean kitchen!! Nice!

 to everyone who pops in here today, I wish I could spend the day here with you, but darn work sure gets in the way of having fun doesn't it!! Have a creative day ladies!!

I am late to the party today!

Another work day for me. Felt like a Monday.

It's been really cold. My dog is sick. Took her to the vet and came home with medicine. She hasn't moved all day. I hope she gets better soon. If I don't see a major improvement by Friday morning I'll be taking her back. This dog has some rare gastro problem- when it acts,up she usually has to be hospitalized. She's my baby- cant stand to see her sick.

Have to take my car in tomorrow for the big kahuna check up. Expecting a bill of $1700. I keep thinking-- that's cheaper than buying a new car. Then I'm off to go to hubby's oncology appointment with him. Praying for good news-well at least not bad news.

Time to hit the sack. See ya tomorrow.
