Morning O fam- more gentle hugs to you Chris-I wish today to be a better day for you. Today is my long day at work, but I am prepared for that and tomorrow is my day off!!!!! So I wish that I would concentrate at work during the day even if it means leaving my office when it gets too loud for me and get home by 9pm! We shall see. That said workout done and getting ready for work.

What do you wish for on Wednesday?

Kristy, great to see you here again. best wishes to your husband. hoping they figure this out! your daughter is 155 years old?? i can SOO relate to THAT.

Laurie, good luck on your long day!

Chris, hope you,'re feeling better. i'm guessing that the weather has hit your area, too.

woke up at 4 to the snow plow going up my road. yup. snow, with some ice underneath. a great day for me to stay home and look for things that need done around the place. looks like a "clean out the silverware drawer" kind of day. :bored:

hi to everybody else!
hope you find something interesting to fill your day!

Hi my O-Fam!

Yup, I got to sleep in a bit- about 6" if a lovely mix of snow and ice. The schools are closed, so I climbed right back into bed. Now I have to figure out which kid to shovel me out and which one to push my cart at the grocery store. :)

But first things first and that is always coffee!
My MIL called yesterday to tell us she was giving us her Keurig. Hers has a light that kept signalling it needed to be cleaned even when it was just cleaned, so after some complaints, the Keurig co. sent her a new one, so we get her old one. I never wanted one since we go through so much coffee/day that it would be crazy-expensive, but I won't turn the machine down. She is also giving us the re-usable cup so we can use regular coffee. I might need to pick up a small bag of some flavored coffee too.

Thanks for the gentle hugs. Much needed!!!
Ugh I was so bummed to hear what she said about me flaring, not just weather-related. This is the second time I have been in "remission" and flared back up. It can get very discouraging. The two meds I am back on have some icky side effects- the one makes me nauseous and the other- new one to me- might stain my contacts lenses so I am going to have to greatly limit wearing them.

The "good" news is that she pulled Gary's PICC line. Literally pulled it-- pretty disturbing to watch. ewwwww. But she wants to hit him really hard with the Babesia meds and didn't want to keep the PICC in for two months if he is not going to be doing IV's. He was thrilled about that- he can now take a shower w/o having to wrap up his arm in Saran Wrap LOL

So yeah. Meh.

PS: Can someone do me a favor and do this: :fish: to me when you notice I start complaining a lot about being achy and tired? More than usual? I guess if I had gotten in to see her a few months ago, I could have caught this before it got too bad. i tend to think I am invincible and that always bites me in the ass in the long run.

Laurie- good luck with your long day today. Can you wear headphones or use a white noise machine to block out the loud people? Hope you have fun plans for tomorrow at least.

Kristi-- that is too funny!! I do not even want to contemplate how old Helena thinks that I am LOL

Phyllis- snow plow? What's a snow plow?? JK, My road is never plowed, but I guess as long as they get the main roads done, that is what counts.
Have fun organizing your silverware LOL
(Is it sad to say that that sounds actually kind of soothing?? )

My wishes and wants:
Wish it would become sunny and 70 and melt all of the snow
wish my kids would go food shopping for me- even though they can't drive
want my aches and pains to go away!!!!!

From yesterday:

Nancy! the parkway, at rush hour?? What were you thinking?? :pound: You should have your son bring the car in to work with him so you don't have to make the trip :)
Hope they get the right part in for you next time. And yes-- always good to see your DS! Is this the one who is doing the NY resolutions? How it that going?
Scott is still doing good. now, if he would just *stop* needling his sister.....

Terry- ugh, men!! how is his back feeling today? Hope your ds doesn't make ya too crazy while he waits for his car to get fixed. Can he get a loaner car int he meantime?

Nana- Don't make me laugh!!!!! It hurts!!! So happy to hear that you are feeling better. I tried wellbutrin last year but it didn't agree with me at all. The other two meds that are supposed to help with fibro pain (Lyrica and celebrex, IIRC) aren't covered my my Rx plan, so I still with lots of ibuprofin. And heat packs.

Trudy- ITA with Nana- keep on coughing if it keeps your hours down LOL How many days till the boss man leaves?
Were you able to scrap at all yesterday? Hope you got some great stuff done!

Phyllis- did you ever see the dr about the pain? It does sound like something pulled and hasn't healed. feel better and sleep good vibes to you~~~~~

Guess it is time to me to get off my butt and get something done.......

have a GREATday!!!

good morning ladies!

I know I am grumbling and all of you in the snow probably think I am nuts, but I am so tired of this cold weather. I mean this is South Texas and it is supposed to be warm! Not good for golfing either.

Chris--hope you start feeling better soon. I know it must be a drag. Saying prayers for you. Great news about your DH getting the PICC line pulled.

Phyllis--come clean out my silverware drawer when you are finished.

My son used my car yesterday--his apartment is 60 miles from here. He was supposed to go over to his apartment to start packing his stuff up to move out of it and back home. Well, he came home with 2 boxes of stuff. WTH--give me a break. Wonder what he was doing. Then, I got in my car this morning and there was 1/2 tank of gas. Now my car gets 40 mpg-----think he went somewhere other than his apartment, dont ya think. Guess we are going to have to have a pow wow.

Well--off to work. Have I mentioned how I hate working. Wish I could retire.

Good morning - Just like Chris and Phylis woke to a wintery mix of ice, slush and snow. I spent the morning buying hockey tickets LOL - I think all the NHL teams want to fill up their arenas now that the lockout is over so the Devils offered season ticket holders 24 hrs to get half price tickets. Sent out a message to all my son's friends to see if any wanted tickets. They did of course. This really was a deal. And the Devils account managers were awesome about getting our tickets near each other. Of course as Phylis might know the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers are being given the early nod to winning the East and my poor Devils are not supposed to even make the playoffs after being in the Stanley Cup Finals last year. I am so looking forward the Jan 22 my first home hockey game.

Chris my son who is still home is still doing pretty well with his new year's resolutions. However Terry you might like this story. I asked to get me some wine for a recipe for dinner. It should have take him 15 min at the most. Well he was gone for over 30 min. I had to call him - he said he was just taking to an old friend. And gas I really wonder where the car goes. It is my married son who is the mechanic and would that I could leave him my car but he lives so far away that I just dont want him using his free time to take my car and leave me his. I just have to make the appts later in the day and before schools let out.

Kristi - it is so funny how youngsters see age!

Hope all have a great day!

Morning sweet "O"'s!! I am finally feeling better!! Hooray and its my day off, so double Hooray!! On the down side, I have to go to the Dentist today :mmph: not my favourite thing to do on a day off! But I should have gone a long time ago, so better get it over with. It ranks right up there with going for a pap smear! :becky: Anyway, had a great sleep last night no congestion and no coughing, slept like a baby until 7am :bounce: ready to tackle the day!!

Chris - That sucks that you are having a relapse!! Wish I could give you a magic pill and make it all disappear! Good news about Gary's pic line though, it is disturbing watching that being pulled out :fear: When my DD was in the hospital so sick the nurse had her sitting in a chair with arms on it and when they went to put her back into the bed the pic line was wrapped around the arm of the chair and they ripped it out of her arm!!! I was soooo mad at them, thank goodness she was pretty much done with having IV meds or else she would have had to go in and have it put in again. Not nice to watch!! My blood still boils when I think of that! Poor kid was still so out of it that she doesn't really remember it so thats good I guess! Going away party for the boss tomorrow night, free drinks and appetizer's so I think I should get stinking drunk (what do you think?) :becky:

Laurie - Hope your day doesn't seem too long, just remember you get the day off tomorrow Hooray!!

Phylis - I could use a good cleaning out of my silverware drawers too, wanna come over and help? Guess that would mean you would have to go out in the cold and ice, so I'm guessing not, plus you would have to get on a :plane: so double not!! LOL

Kristy - I can relate to your daughter's concept of how old she is! I must be at least 850 years old then!! :twitch:

Terry - Can't wait to hear where your son went with your car!! You would think he would have at least put some more gas in it before bringing it back to you  Hope your weather gets back to normal soon, but you know I really don't feel sorry for you :becky:

Got a picture this morning of my daughter in a :preggers: pose at 21 weeks so I think that I should maybe try to do a page with that sometime today. Off to browse the gallery and get the layout that I did yesterday loaded up to the gallery. Have a great one ladies

Good evening ladies! Oh my goodness...it is crazy here! Work is really busy and needing some of my time in the evenings and weekends. And you know that my schedule is crazy and there is NO time on evenings and weekends. I got up at 3 this morning to start working...that is when I carved out time! Ugh...

But by a week from Friday, everything will be back to normal. At least I hope so. My brother finished painting...kids bedrooms, my office and our bedroom closet. So my office is almost put back together now!

I hope to find some time to scrap this weekend. I have taken photos every single day so I'm off to a good start. Instagram makes all the difference.

Sorry that you ladies are dealing with ugly weather and sorry Chris that you are relapsing. How tired you must get...

((hugs)) to all!

Evening everyone-made it home from work before 10. I found out a work today that I will now be hourly instead of salaried. I am thinking this will be to my advantage, given that I frequently have to stay late to get my paperwork done. Time will tell. I would really like to be wealthy enough to retire- yeah right! I'm heading to bed and will catch you on the flip side!
