The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
*sighs* Too cold, too dark, too early and too darn far away from the weekend.

And you ask... what else is new with Ms Faery????

Well, Ms Faery is trying to ignore some of the weather forecasts that are predicting 12+ inches of snow this weekend, especially since Gary never got the snow blower fixed. Whatever.

The "good news" is that we finally got his car in the shop to see if they can re-hook up the gas tank. I am supposed to be taking the kids to PA next weekend, but I can't leave him for 3 days and no working car.

Grrr. Yes I am cranky.

Today I am off to Scott's school for his IEP mtg and scheduling for next year. His Senior year of HS. WTH did the years go???? I woke up this morning at 4.30 realizing that "this is it" and I have to get him moving and motivated to figuring out what he wants/needs to do to get ready for college. I thought I had so much more time to get it together, to make sure his grades were good to save some money! Now-- its right around the corner (or so it feels ATM!) and I have nothing for him. :(
I know I have whined about it before, but I lost (we all lost) so many years just trying to get the kids healthy. It was my only focus for 5 years. And I feel like I let them down.

Oh bah humbug. Yes, I am hormonal today too, so maybe that is why I am switching from ranting to near tears just in the space of this post. :(

I won't say anything else, you all don't need to be exposed to my mood swings.

My one WWW:
I wish I had all the answers........

Chris, getting him healthy was the most important thing you could have done. Loving him and helping him to understand love...you did that too. The foundation is set.

Good morning. We are at the airport. By the end of the day, we will be eating dinner Oceanside. I am happy.

Seriously. Hormonal. Linda S-- what you just wrote--- *tears*
Thankk you. You could not have siad anything more perfect to keep me in perspective.

That said-- TAKE ME WITH YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!

LOL

Have a happy safe and relaxing trip!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo

Good morning sweet ladies...

I had to watch a little tv this morning....Chris....thought of you when I did.....It was Letterman's show from Monday night with Gov Christie on.....We love Dave...most of the time he is so hilarious....and he has really ripped Gov Christie with the (fat) jokes.....OH he was a fabulous sport he is!!!! The first part they joked about the weight stuff....he got Dave really good too!!! but the second part they talked about the issues still in NJ and how bad it is and what needs to be done and what he is trying to do.....it was good!!!

Okay....so NO CLEANING yesterday...I took a nap instead :becky:

Chris....as a the mother of two grown children....trust me....the "THIS IS IT" feeling is small compared to the moment you watch them walk across the stage and get that diploma!!! But really LindaS is 100% right...you did wonderful and you will continue to do wonderful...he will always come back to seek your advice and you tell him what you feel is best for him.....it's up to him from then on. Trust what you did for him all these years!!!

LINDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful time...but I gotta say it would be a much better time if we were with you!! Oh sweetie.....ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good morning - Busy two days with many appoints including the dentist which I hate more than anything but love the feel of really clean teeth. Went to the first Devils/Rangers hockey game since we knocked the Rangers out of the playoffs last season. Adam Henrique scored the last goal against the Rangers last season in OT (my second most favorite Devils memory) and tonight he scored the first goal against the Rangers LOL. My Devils won 3-1. Chris Kreider of the Rangers always seems to score against my Devils and again he scored their only goal. Tried out my new camera and the photos are crisp and clear but a little dark so need to work out the settings but love that it just fits in my purse.

Chris getting your kids healthy was and is very important. I think you are amazing. I remember all the IEP meetings I had for my kids good luck with your. I always found them so stressful.

Linda have a great vacation in Hawaii

Phylis that window company is horrible. I glad you are putting your husband on the case. We are to get a lot of snow Friday into Saturday. It is a nor'easter so you probably wont get our snow.

Have a great Wednesday!

Morning Ozzies... Slept til 7am not much on my plate today, so hopefully scrapping and a nice walk outside if the weather permits! Also getting my hair cut and coloured later this afternoon.

Chris - I know what you mean by feeling like you wasted years getting your kids healthy, I did that with my Heather for 10 long years, but oh my it was so worth it!! You are a fabulous mom, don't ever doubt it my friend!! Your children have your unconditional love, THAT will carry them through anything that life has to throw at them!!
Hope that Gary gets his car fixed so you can leave on your trip to PA!!

LindaS - Have a wonderful flight! Hope it goes smoothly with no delays and no turbulence!! Enjoy every single moment!! I think Nana is right you would have much more fun if we were all there with you! :becky: Aloha!!

Nana Linda - Nice that you got in a nap yesterday, the housework will always be there unfortunately!! I haven't watched Letterman in a long time, sounds like it was a good one!
Enjoy your day today!!

Nancy - You really do love your Devils don't you!! LOL Hope your wednesday is filled with creativeness! Enjoy

Just thought of another thing I have to do today... take my wedding rings in to have the clasps fixed, I can feel that they are catching on everything and I am afraid I will lose the stones soon if I don't have them repaired. Hate to take them off, I always feel naked without them! Better get some breakfast and get on with the day. Happy Humpday everyone.

howdy. been up since 4:30, but i got about 7 hours in the recliner, so i'm GOOD! got a ton of laundry, ironing, scrubbing and vacuuming done, and now i'm going to order a pizza and just eat the toppings. i still get the "pizza experience," even if i can't eat the crust!

Chris. ya done good. and having done good, you don't deserve to be smacked in the head--by YOURSELF! we all wish that we would have done better with preparing for the future. but, because of you, your kids and family HAVE a future. dwell on that, and (something you're NOT veyr good at) turn over some part of what comes next to someone other than you. if your guy wants to go to college, there are ways. he'll be involved in finding out what they are.

East Coast ladies, think i'm dodging this next snowstorm! we've been dealing with weather from Canada recently (Alberta Clippers) which we used to get all the time. more often than not lately, though, a LOT of our snow comes from fronts moving up from the Gulf loaded with WATER. when i see one of THEM coming, i say: oh, NOOOOO!

LindaS. have a BALL!!!

Nana, i don't know what to make of Christie. sometimes i like him, and other times i think he's just a political opportunist. do politicians every really BELIEVE anything, or do they just "believe" what will keep them in power and on the public dole for as long as possible, until they can retire on full salary and their own personal healthcare system.

Nancy, can't wait to see your new hockey shots!

Trudy, enjoy your day off. wish i could go on that walk with you!

ok, off to order my pizza and take a break from the scrubbing. Happy Day to you, O-zies!

Hi Phylis  wish you could come walk with me too! Oh the problems of the world we could solve together!! :becky:

Hi my friends! i just finished up lunch and am feeling a bit better than I did this morning.Warm soup always works to make you feel good inside!

The IEP mtg went really well. I came out of it very proud and reassured that he is on the right track. His Child Study Team all commented on how well he is doingthis year, compared to last year and how his attitude is great as well. Last year he sat there at the mtg and didn't contribute anything more than a shrug or an "idunno" This time he asked questions, made suggestions, even flat out said he is looking into college after graduation.
His schedule looks liek it is going to be a good one for him. He has a few regular classes (math, language, gym) plus some really interesting sounding electives. His science is is Bio-Ethics, and his Social Studies is going to be World and National Current Events. Both of those are somewhat debate-styled and OMG, he will truly get into that. His support teacher rec'd both of those for him because of how engaged he is on those topics. Scott learns much better when he feels it is relevant to him.
He is also able to take a Intro to Post-Secondary Life as a Spec Ed student. This is going to be so helpful, and I asked them if I could sign up too. Its a year long class designed to help Spec Ed students apply for college, get scholarship/loan info, make career choices and so on. I think this will also take some of the pressur ehe feels off of him. Schools/friends/parents etc are so -- how do I say-- focused? Strong? Relentless?? Pushy maybe? -- its so important for the avg kid to get great SAT scores, to get into the best colleges and that's not where he is at. I know in the past talking with his friends who are in SAT Prep courses and tutoring and trying to get tons of extra-curriculars etc makes him really stressed and uncomfortable b/c he is not on the same page as them. This group will be kids like him.

So all in all, very pleased. Still scared but happy about where he is heading. We discussed maybe considering a Political Science Major for him too. I think that he could get a good lib arts/poly sci background and be able to find something in the future he will enjoy doing.

What a relief!!!!

Thanks as always always always for listening and supporting. ::grouphug

Nana- oh that Chris Christie.... LOL, love or hate him or anything in between, he sure knows how to make a stir!
Disclaimer: I am way left of him politically so I would never vote for him. But he is an interesting character.
He is actually very charismatic and can have a great sense of humor as well as Jersey Attitude. He can also be very rude and overbearing but that doesn't seem to have hurt him politically at all.
He has been amazing great for NJ after Sandy. He says what he feels , no bones about that and it has been nice to knwo that he is fighting for our state. Of course there is a huge brouhaha that he gave a no bid contract to a clean up contractor out of Florida and not one from NJ (and guess who is a friend of his?). He is also very anti-teacher and schools and middle class.
But when it comes to fighting for Sandy Relief, I am really glad that we have someone which a big mouth and big persona to get things done. I don't think that the Shore especially would be ready to open in May without him.

Glad you took a nap!!!!

Oh I am going to be bawling when he graduates. Especially knowing what hell he and we all went through. But that is still a year and a half away. Not rushing that at all!! LOL

Nancy-- oh how fun, can't wait to see your photos!!! Is there an Exposure Adjustment or something like that? That is a good way for me to brighten up dark settings. if not, Photoshop! :D
Thank you!!

Trudy- thank you so much for understanding how I feel. Knowing that you went through this too makes it easier for me.
Enjoy your day off!

Woot!! Phyllis got sleeeeep!!! :cheer2:

I swear, I am my own worse enemy at times. I am harder on myself that I would ever be on anyone.
Bet your house is sparkling and enjoy your pizza toppings! You deserve them :) ITA with your take on Christie. He does talk a good deal, but his actions (like the Florida Contractor story) tell a different story. But isn't that the way it is for all of them? I think the most important thing for this country it to get the money out of politics and term limits, Give these people equal footing to get elected and then force them to get stuff done. And then they are out!

wish you could come walk with me too! Oh the problems of the world we could solve together!! :becky:

Or destroy the world.
*evil laughter*
