GoooOd morning and happy Wednesday to all of you. Like I said yesterday, I am so surprised that it is the last day of Feb. I even hear some birds chirping this morning. What a difference it makes when I am not shivering nonstop, even under layers upon layers of clothes and blankets. We are having a Spring feeling day again but after that, we are going to have chances of snow on and off the next several days. But I will enjoy these warmer temps while I can.
It is also a good thing that I an nor freezing since yesterday was kind of an exhausting one. Being cold wears me out.
I was running a bit late to get food shopping but it wasn't a problem since I was able to take Cait's car so Gary could use mine. He was off to the person's house where he was over the weekend, digging through more "finds." He said that he got some garden tools this time. Yay! Scott was at school all day, Cait was off for lunch with Brendan and I was going actually have the house to *myself* for ~2 hours.
I honestly cannot tell you the last time that happened.
So I got a few things done that needed to so I could have an hour or so to scrap. That didn't go as planned. After taking the dogs outside, I had the door open a crack while I was waiting for R to come in. W bolted. Ran down the street. Thankfully, I had slippers on so I could chase after her but I am in no shape to run after a dog. She made it about 5 houses down when she stopped and I was able to grab her collar. But you remember what I said about how she doesn't walk on a leash well? Picture me trying to drag this dog up the street by her collar as she is trying to pull away to sniff more places that other dogs pee. It took me forever. At least it felt that way. At one point I had to smack her butt to get her to stop pulling and scrambling. By the time I got her inside, I was having heart palpitations like you wouldn't believe. It took well over an hour to get it to settle down.
I had been vacuuming earlier but got distracted before I wrapped the cord up. But even after my heart rate was back in range, I thought better of finishing. (Imagine that). Grabbed the cord, started wrapping it but then I saw that the end had been chewed off. Damn W!!!! My fault that I left it out like that and I was so thankful that it was not plugged in. Now we need to order a new cord
I really need to get in contact with the dog trainer. The chewing is something that she will grow out of, but the running and not stopping, that is terrifying and dangerous to her and to others.
Today I have to go with Gary to drop the VUE off at the shop to get work done. It is leaking brake fluid. I swear, between the amount of time and money we spend at the shop and the vet, we should get frequent flier miles.
Then I have to clean for my neighbor and figure out WTH to cook for dinner. Plus I need to do all of the Oscraps stuff I wanted to do yesterday.
It is going to be a :cofbath: kinda day
