Its only Wednesday? Why does it feel like Thursday to me? ah!

I think I had a successful day yesterday. I did my food shopping and errands and babysitting. I didn't figure out what I want to be when I grow up, but that can wait for another day. Its already been many years too late as it is. LOL And I scrapped! 2 pages. I can't share them yet, but I did them. yippeeee!
The bad part is that even though I scrapped, I am not sure I like them. Its seems like the new style of lots of clustering is so popular and mine just .... well, they don't. I am not good with too bright colors or too much stuff IRL, and I guess that carries over to digital life too.

Off to MIL's today. I think it is my last day working for her. Her Medicare premiums went up like $200 a month. (I don't think Gary's did or we will be in trouble!!!!!) and she can't afford me any more either. I do have a potential new client that I am meeting with tomorrow but I can't keep hanging on by the skin of my teeth. Its getting scary. Oh well, what can you do?:noidea: It is what it is and we'll find a way. Not much choice in the matter, eh?!

So much for bright and cheery today!! Tomorrow i will be better.

WWW
I wish that I had enough money to not stress about it all of the time!!
I want it to stop raining but I am happy it is not snow or ice
I wish it were Friday! Who is with me on that one?

From yesterday:

Laurie- WTG on getting those workouts in! I get that snappin gin my ankle- its a tendon? Ligament? Oh yea, mine is a tendon. Be careful with that, you don't want to injure it more.

Linda S- good to hear it does get easier with the driving. Gary took him out for an hour yesterday and worked on parking and k turns. I think he is going to start driving to the bus stop in the morning too. Its only 1/4 mile but it is still getting used to it all.
Hope that you survived your marathon night and are not paying too dearly for it this morning.

Phyllis- you?? A control freak??? Never would have guessed!!! :pound: I am just kidding, I mean, I know you say you have control issues but I wouldn't call you a "freak" LOL
How's the weather by you? I was worried we would end up with ice here,it started out as sleet but looks ok here now. Thank goodness!!! I was nervous my MIL would tell me not to bother driving down to her and i literally cannot afford that.

Nancy- I am with Phyllis- so lucky to have a mechanic that you can trust- well worth the drive!
Excellent take on the crazy dreams= good imagination= good scrappers .:)
But what is my excuse? I have crazy dreams but not much imagination and not a very good scrapper.

Terry- good luck with your mom's bone scan today. I am thinking of you both. How is she feeling now that she is getting treated for the fracture? Hope a bit better. Hang in there! (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

Trudy! Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!
I really admire you attitude about work. Its really the best attidue to take. I wish I had a bit of your positivity today!

love to you all!

lOve the O!
Morning O fam- workout done- didn't want to rock your world two days this week!!

Phylis- the snapping is a noise with discomfort that I hear and feel coming from my knee. I know it is not good, and when it flairs up, I wear a knee brace for extra support. However I also know that the way I sit on the floor and move when working with my patients puts extra stress on my knees. My biggest fear- torn cartilage that is flipping in the joint causing the snap- which would mean-possible MRI and/or knee scope- not ready to cross that bridge- when I have to start taking the elevator versus the stairs at work (time clock in basement) I will think about it.

Chris- I scrapped some last night too.

So happy it is Wednesday- tomorrow I get to stay home!!!!!

'morning. didn't get enough sleep last night. i got Season 2 of "Game of Thrones" from Amazon yesterday, so spend my afternoon and evening trying to work at stuff while watching it. i ended the day watching the last 4 episodes, finishing up at 1a.m. then Hubby the Noisey woke me up at 5:30 a.m. i'm pretty sure my mood will suffer....:twitch:

Chris, to Heck with The Style. do art that is YOU! if not, making pages just becomes One More Thing you have to do. at least that's how i feel about making "art." we have enough stuff we HAVE to do. why not just follow your gut on the art stuff!?

Laurie, thanks for the info. hope your knees hold up. ha! hope MY knees hold up, too! at least you're doing stuff to keep fit and to help out your kiddos at work.

rain, rain, rain. well, better than snow, snow, snow, i guess. we had a little ice last evening, and we're supposed to get more tonight. LindaS, did the snow actually get you from that last storm? i saw the kids shovelling on your Facebook post!

gonna iron some dress shirts and clean the refrigerator today. super woot. :ballchain: have a good one, O-zies.

Morning ladies....I am in the shower in a few minutes...we have to go get a birthday present today for the Little Man (Cameran), his party is Saturday. He wants some particular wrestlers, and we have not found them yet...so one more look before we buy something different.

Yesterday................oooh.....we had to take our vehicles to our "car" guy..HEHE...I worked with him at the Honda place for years, and he just recently opened his own shop....although he has been working on my stuff for years on the side. I needed new brakes and Mike's truck needs new ball joints...it's a 40 minute drive to his place...so we took both cars...waited for mine and left his....while we waited we went to this little country restaurant with home cooking...we had the absolute best burgers and fries that we have eaten in a long time, although neither of us could finish them, because they didn't say how big they were....about 3/4 pounders!!!!

We nearly froze to death though. School was two hours late due to some freezing rain...but the temps did not get over 34 yesterday....and my guy's shop wasn't heated up before we got there and we were wet, so it was cold...I never really warmed back up until last night!!!! I hate that!!!! just cold to the bones!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris...what a bummer about your MIL...$200 is a lot of extra money to fork out...Why would it go up so much?? I think at the beginning of the year, my Mom said hers went up about the same as the increase as she got in her SS check. I hope you get the new client to cover the loss of your MIL's work.

Laurie.....you really should have the knee checked out....you could be doing more damage by waiting!!!! Something could be done now to keep it from being permanent damage!!!!!

I did not scrap any pages, but I did make some stuff for an upcoming collab...I was very happy with them (freebies for the customers). I will use them to make some pages myself too!!!

Okay...off to the shower

Phylis......you need my medicine...I sleep so good now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I hear you on the noisy husband....Mike's snoring drives me insane!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with you on the art....make it your own!!!!! I see techniques that I like and just adapt them to what I want to do with it...I sort of throw a bunch in there together...I am definitely a blending girl...but I like a little cluster and lots of splotchy splatty stuff..and EDGES!!! I have so much crap on my pages sometimes, I don't even know what I used!!!!!!!!!!! I forget to credit some of it!!! YIKES!!!

TAKE A NAP PHYLIS!!!!and put that iron away.................ewe!!!!! :???:

good morning! My backyard is like a marsh we have gotten so much rain. And yes it is awesome to have my own mechanic so I know the job is done correctly and that they are trying to sell me something I do not need. I love my car. LOL. It was wonderful seeing my son. I love that when he goes to work he is happy as he really likes the work and the people he works with. I think that makes going to work so much easier!

Phyllis with the cuts going into effect on Friday I too wonder if a big fall is not coming. However I am doing my part by still spending some money on extras.

Chris you are a great scrapper and as Phylis says go with what you like on your page!

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning friends... A frosty morning here, but the sun is coming out to warm up everything! Two days off for me, so I plan on getting in some walking in the sun and soaking up some much needed vitamin D! Scrapping to do hooray!! And maybe some cleaning, we will see. Yesterday was my 36th anniversary, yikes!! That's a long time!! MG bought a dozen long stemmed yellow roses home with him. So pretty!! He never buys flowers, so it was a great surprise !! We are going out for dinner next weekend to celebrate with my friend from work and her hubby, we have known this couple since high school and they were in our wedding party too. We are going to the Chemainus Theatre for dinner and show. The Buddy Holly Story is playing and the theatre group is always amazing!!! Looking forward to it! We got complimentary tickets from our temp manager at the store. His wife works with the theatre group and because we have been a lot of help to him, he thought we should have these tickets, what a wonderful gift!!! We have had to keep quiet about it though because we are the only ones that got the tickets "shhhh"

Chris - Your poor MIL what a shock to the pocket book!! Another reason why universal Health Care is the way to go!!!!!! Not fair to be punished just because you get to a certain age!! Oh don't get me started :tape: I agree with Phylis you should do what you think is art and not what everyone else thinks it is!! You are a beautiful scrapper and you scrap about what you love and that is what is important!! Hope your new client works out and your MIL doesn't stop needing you! Try to keep positive and that positive vibe will come back to you three fold!!

Laurie - Hope that nothing serious is going on with your knee!! I have a bit of pain when I climb the stairs in my one knee, so not sure what is going on there? Should really have it checked out, not ready for a knee replacement yet :scared: Hooray for the day off tomorrow!!

Phylis - I loved the Game of Throne series!! But I think you stayed up a little to late my friend. Hope you get to sneak in a nap sometime today! Perhaps you should borrow some of Nana Linda's meds, see how they work!! Woot exciting day for you today!! NOT!! I agree with Linda, put the iron away sheesh, I don't how you can like ironing???

Nana Linda - I wish I had my own car guy!!! Costs us a fortune to get our Honda serviced!! Last time we were there we asked them to check out battery, because we thought it was not working properly, they said ohhhh no its just fine, then my sister borrowed our van and it died on them in the hotel parking lot after there trip to Maui and they had to get a boost!! Took it back to the dealers and it was completely dead, had to buy a new one WTH!!!!! You told us it was fine? :noidea: Bet they never even looked at it. MG was furious!! Refused to pay for the man hours and only paid for the battery, don't think they were too happy with us, but if they want any more of our business they better pull up their socks !!!!!! Anyway now that I have written a book here I will just wish you a warmer, happy day! Thanks for listening to my rant!! :becky:

Nancy - How nice that your son love where he works!! It really does make all the difference in the world when you enjoy going to work each day! Hope your marsh dries up soon!! Spring is coming!!!

Well off to get breakfast and then some scrapping, have a creative day everyone!!

Trudy, Happy Anniversary, a day late! i'm always SOOO jealous when someone gets flowers. my guy is not a flower-giver, either.... :pout: and ENJOY THE SUNSHINE!! i THINK i remember what that is....

Nana, no meds for me. i actually do OK when given the opportunity. also, i just went through an online insomnia course througgh FEP Blue Cross/Blue Shield and discovered that i don't really HAVE insomnia. apparently 6 hours for old people (like me) is about average and OK. no matter that i often feel like hell on 6 hours. but whatever.

Nancy, i love to hear about someone who goes to work happy!! there don't seem to be a lot of those types around anymore. my dad used to love going to work. he worked on one of the rivers in our area.

Just stopping in real quick. My mom didn't get the bone scan today. As she was getting ready this morning she fell and broke her hip. When it rains it pours. I sure could use some prayers right now. I'm thinking she will have surgery tomorrow. Called the ambulance at 6 this morning. Won't to the local ER. She was transferred to the city. Waiting for the orthopedic doc to come in.

Terry- that is terrible news- healing prayers.

So I got home from work- out almost on time and grocery shopped, having a glass wine waiting for my pizza to bake and behind me in the quiet house I hear this strange clicking noise- I go investigate thinking it is a giant bug and it is just my clock apparently a satellite is going overhead with a different time cause the hands on my clock are going round and round and it is not daylight savings time yet- now they have stopped and they are on the normal time- that is weird!
