The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I am still feeling a day off, I think it should be Thursday today. But I double checked and yes, it is Wed. and it is the 24th. If I am wrong about any of that, blame my computer since that is where I am getting my info from :)

Yesterday was such a looooong and boring day. It took me a couple of hours to get my phone backed up, reset to factory, and started to reload info and apps. How in the world I am I supposed to remember passwords, and then to type them all in? ha!!!!
In the afternoon, I worked on some more scrap LOs', and still not happy with them.

Today is food shopping in the rain and trying to figure why my FitBit is totally bonkers.
Yippee.
:/

On a really good note-- my client called me yesterday and said that I did a great job in the work shop. She wants me to plan on coming every other week- will clean out her fridge, then maybe clean her garage a bit. Says that she has enough stuff to keep me busy. Then I think, in time, she will bring me back to do "regular" cleaning. Whew! That means 1 house a week. For now that is *perfect.* Not financially perfect. but health-perfect.

I guess that is about it. When did I get so boring???? :D

Today:
It’s National Tortilla Chip Day! Rebecca Webb Carranza invented tortilla chips in the 1950s. Carranza and her husband owned the El Zarape Tortilla Factory in Los Angeles and were among the first to mass-produce tortillas. The machine often produced misshapen tortillas, and Carranza decided to try and use them instead of throwing them away. She cut the rejected tortillas into triangles, fried them, and sold them for a dime a bag.
Tortilla chips soon became a nationwide sensation, served alongside salsa, chili, guacamole, and a variety of other appetizers. In 2003, the state of Texas made the tortilla chip the official state snack!
To celebrate National Tortilla Chip Day, buy a bag of your favorite tortilla chips (or try making your own) and enjoy them with your favorite dip!

Kat- how high if a grade do you have to get to pass? All of my fingers and toes are crossed that you do it! Caitlyn has these onesie pj's that are soooo soft and cozs- has a fleecey lined hood, and when she wears them (like yesterday!) I just have to touch it. looks like she is wearing a fuzzy blanket fort. Everyone needs one, IMHO.
You know Gary too well already! He asked me to grab anything that had a motor or a cord. Unfortunately there wasn't anything like that for him, but he was still happy with what I got.

Did I tell you guys that he is now working on a skeleton drummer with a LED flashing drum kit? I am now officially used to having the one skeleton in the LR- I don't think it is a person in the corner of my eye any more. That is a good sign, right?

Nancy- did you get any snow by you? We ended up having an early dismissal, the roads got slippery in the afternoon and the yards/cars were covered. Hopefully it is all gone by now.
WTG Luther!!! Good doggie manners is important to your Mom!! :pupkiss:
How did the Devils do? Bet it was a loud bunch of fans.
Surprisingly, I didn't hurt too badly- just my usual/everyday/yes I am on Tindamax pain. That was good sign and I only got shaky a few times while I was cleaning so all in all a big step forward.

Rae- I am so sad to hear about your BIL. It is heartbreaking that no one noticed for so long:(
I hope that it isn't too difficult to go through his things and to be able to separate the important stuff from junk.
And whoa! That is insane about the hospital lady sending you work. Good for you for giving your notice, it must have been tempting to stick it out a while longer.
:bliss: That is amazing that you will get to dog walk!!! Good for you, I am so happy!!!!

Time to head out. Have a fab day!

LOL Gary cracks me up. Look on the bright side, Chris - he's occupied doing something he, obviously, loves. Eh, so you'll have some skeletons in the living room ... good conversation starter?!

Studying last night was a bit of a bust - I almost fell asleep at the table. Got through the impact of local laws and legislation on the HR and managing a global workplace. Tonight: risk management and US-specific laws. Woo Hoo! Then on to online testing and such as practice. Going to be a late night, I think.

good morning - I think I am finally getting over this strange cold. Every once in awhile I get these horrible coughing fits! But at least I am mostly sleeping through the night. So mid afternoon my DIL txts to say she is sick and can't go to the game, so then my son came to pick me up and he sounded as bad as I felt so none of us went. The Devils won the game 5-2. And I learned something new. There was fight between a Ranger and my Devils player. My player was injured and turns out that the Ranger player had his hand taped. The rule says that if a player injuries an opponent and has tape below his wrist then he get thrown out of the game and a 5 min penalty. Never saw this before and I am not sure the trainer for the Rangers knew the rule either. Luther was awesome as he only got out for one walk with me as the weather was rain and cold and wind. I got Luther out this am before the rain and wind hits again this afternoon. I also learned a bummer about my computer. I am taking Anna's class to learn about using a tablet. So I go set up the tablet only to discover that there is not enough space left to load the program. I am so bummed but then oh Darn I guess I am going to have to get a new computer. But I am not looking forward to figuring out how to get stuff from one to the other. I am hoping that the Apple geniuses will have good solution. Then I will wipe this clean and give it to my son.

Chris we did not get any snow just rain. The grade school my sons went to was evacuated yesterday. Such a shame, nothing was found so that is good. Hope you get to the store before the rain gets too heavy.

Kat good luck with studying and taking the test!

Rae so sorry about your BIL. My mom was so worried that she would die and no one would find her for days that she signed up to be called each morning. I hope it is not too sad to go through his things.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Not a good morning here as Isaac is really sick today!! He threw up all over the breakfast table yuck!!! I put him into the warm tub and then into bed where he again threw up, thankfully into a little bucket. Please, please do not let me get this!!! He is sound asleep now and I feel bad that I was giving him a hard time about faking it! But he does that so often, that how do you know what to believe?? Last night he was so good and ate such a good supper too. :noidea: I am wondering if he is having a harder time than I realize that his mom and dad are not here. Poor little man, hopefully its just a 24 hr thing and that Sadie and I don't also get what ever this is!!

Chris - I am so glad that you will have some extra income! You must be a great worker for your client for her to want you to return to clean for her full time! Remember don't push yourself too hard my friend!! It is horrible that all things techy are going insane for you right now! Do you think it has anything to do with your inner chemistry that your fitbit is not working? I know that sometimes watches just quit on me and I think it has something to do with my inner workings :noidea: Hope you get through your shopping day without any trouble!

Kat - Uggh that does not sound like real page turning excitement!! But I suppose you have to study, study, study and I am sure you will pass with flying colours!!

Nancy - Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better! Hopefully your are over the worst of your strange cold! Too bad you missed the game, but I suppose it was for the best! No fun going to a game when you are all sick!! That was a strange rule that I never knew about also, I will have to see if my hubby knew that one. He was a hockey ref for years. Oh darn you need a new computer LOL. I am sure that Apple will help you to transfer everything that you need onto your new one. Your lucky son will benefit from your new purchase too!!

Rae - Oh my how sad about your BIL!! Now the daunting task of going through all of his belongings and trying to find the papers you are looking for! I am the same and have been bugging my DH for years to get our will updated and thankfully we have a burial place that was given to us by his parents. We still need to finalize arrangement for that and I keep telling DH the longer we wait the more its going to cost!! I don't want our kids burdened with the responsibility of paying for internment costs. DH says they can throw him out with the trash if they want to he really does not see the need to have all that money for burial :gaah: what am I going to do with him!! :becky:

Well I have lots of laundry to do now and sanitizing so that the rest of us do not get this illness!! Hope you ladies have a better day than I am going to have LOL

Good morning, ladies. Taz and I went to meet the fellow about the dog walking job. It sounds perfect. I was his first interview and he wants me to come back tomorrow to finalize money, scheduling, etc. So, unless he meets up with a more desirable candidate today, looks like I'll get it. $25 a day for a 40 minute walk, plus 20 minutes driving. Its a win-win for us. A bit of money in my pocket, we get out for a walk, Taz and Ava get to play five days a week. She's a big girl, about 85 lbs right now. She looks mostly black lab. The shelter said she had a bit of husky/shepherd in her but you can't see it. She's very friendly, smart and well mannered. She walked with me last night, listed to my commands and has good recall. They played for about an hour and then went for a swim in the nearby creek. They splashed and jumped in the water, finding sticks and then chasing each other. It was so cute, he said Ava doesn't bark much, but then she started barking at Taz and wouldn't stop LOL. She was so excited to play with Taz and kept leaping at him to lick his mouth. Even while walking, she would strain to reach over for a lick on him LOL. So it looks like they're a good match to play together, even though she's 60 lbs heavier than Taz.

My hubs, his sister and two nieces got a lot done yesterday at BIL's home. Things are progressing smoothly so far. Luckily the weather is cooperating too and it's been clear and dry as they have been transporting things back and forth in our truck to the city dump, recycling, etc.

Chris - good news about the cleaning job.
Kat - bet you'll be glad when the studying and exam are over.
Nancy - get well and hope you are able to get that tablet working. I couldn't live without mine, I won't scrap with a mouse, it's too awkward.
Trudy - poor little guy. Hope he's feeling better today and hope you and your niece don't come down with it.

Off to get my work done now, as I don't know if the hospital will be sending me work today (she didn't send yesterday - yay) so want to keep on top of my other client's work just in case. I think she's only going to send work if she has overflow and her other girls don't get it done which is fine with me. Have a great day, everyone!

Rae, sorry to hear about your BIL. You mentioned the hoarding ... we had a neighbors' house catch on fire and the fire department couldn't get in the front door due to the stuff she had crammed in there ... they had to go through a window, smashing out the casing so they could get in. We never knew! Nice lady, would chat a bit, go to church on Sunday's ... but even from what the firemen pulled out and piled on her front yard, wow, it was huge pile of "stuff". I'm sure it meant something to her, but ... well, wow.

I am sad to hear of his passing.
