Now it is Wednesday!!
Maybe today I can get my act together. I didn't have any luck with that yesterday. I looked at my tax info and said Not today. Food shopping wasn't terrible. The schools were closed for the long weekend so there weren't as many people wandering around which helps.
Then it seemed like my day was just random bits of "stuff"-- picked up my car from getting the oil change, played with the rats, cooked dinner.

Today, I am cleaning for my friend, then I really need to work on some more of my taxes. Oh, and I have to call my breast surgeon's office about the bill for the MRI since I got another one in the mail. *grumble* I really do not want to deal with any of it!
I can't wait for this weekend getaway, although it looks like we are going to have crummy weather. But that won't matter much since Caitlyn and I agreed that we will be in pajamas for the three days there.

*looks at clock*
I guess I have to get going. But I don't want to deal with life!!!!

Love and hugs to all of you

Felis- I will never the "new" weather patterns and how cold that you and Rae and Trudy are. Nancy and I have spring weather here. We will be near 70* today.
That is wonderful about your new coat!
I know that feeling all too well-- wanting to get stuff done but really ending up doing nothing.
How sad that your aunt has changed so much. Maybe the "old" personality will come back again. That is terrible to hear about your mom. I think that the #metoo movement has to have a sense of "comfort" that they are not alone.

Nancy- swamp is a good word for the ground. I thought that since it was warm and Cait didn't have classes that we could take the dogs to the park. I drove past on my way to the store and it was a giant mud puddle.
Ouch! Is your back feeling any better today?

Rae- I don't think I am going to bother asking how you did at VV yesterday since I am sure that you found some great deals. LOL
It is really horrible to be so cold, I am going to upset when these warm temps go away. that is so cute about Taz being able to shop with you. Mainly pet stores here are the only ones that allow dogs inside, although every once in a while I see a dog in a purse at the supermarket. :)

Trudy- Like I said to Rae- I am sorry that it is so cold by you. Stay warm!!!
How is Mason doing? bet he looked handsome in his new clothes.

Jean- blergh! That stinks about losing your post the other day. I am frantic with Ctrl-C-ing my posts as I type since I do stuff like that all of the time.
Rumors are flying that a Tractor Supply store is coming to where the Sears store was. Might be good, although I don't know too much about what they carry.
Hope you were able to get outside with this warm weather!

Trudy-that is exactly how I feel most of my days play out- they fly by but I am not doing anything. At least you got to the pool, good for you!!!
I am not sure how I feel about turning 50. It sounds so "old" - some days I feel ancient, other days I get confused and I think that I am still in my 30's. (Although perhaps that is a sign of brain deterioration?? ha!!)
Hope you were able to get some more work done on your LO. I hate it when they don't come together easily. Wish I knew how to get around that.

Man, I am really running late. Off to get ready for the day. xoxo

good morning - whew what a morning and last night's hockey games did not help. Both the Devils and the USA Men's hockey teams lost. Saddest for the USA men's team as it was in a shoot out. And then this morning I have been trying to get the mobile tickets for my Elias Q&A. My girlfriend got an email but I never did and the tickets were not there and so I had to leave emails and voicemails and all of a sudden they showed up on the account. AHHH why does it have to be this hard and irritating. But as soon as I finish this I am off to walk Luther. He has been waiting patiently. The Devils played great but the CBJ goalie was better than mine and we lost 3-2. But Taylor Hall scored so he kept his point streak going. It is amazing the difference between an 18 year old and 26 year old. He was talking to reporters and said when he first came in the league he did not talking to coaches he just wanted to play but now he and our coach have regular conversations about what each expects of the other and he is having one of his best seasons. Also it was so interesting to listen to him talk about how he thrives best when things are constant. My son and I are the same way. What ever the reason I am glad he is on my Devils. He is making the rest of the team better. OMgosh I know I keep saying this but I made one of my best dinner last night. It was a spicy chicken stir fry with rice. Today I am not cooking.

Chris glad the grocery shopping went well. And yes looks like rain is coming but who cares I am going to enjoy the day and the temps in the 70s. Hope the tax stuff goes well. And wow I cant believe you are still dealing with that MRI bill. Shame on them all.

Felis hope your week of enjoyment is going well.

Trudy some days it does seem like we do nothing yet we were so busy. Tonight at 11pm the Canadian/USA women play for the gold. I cant believe how late it is starting for me on the East coast. I am going to try and stay up and watch. Cant believe you are colder than we are here in NJ.

Rae I am like Chris and cant wait to hear how well you did shopping. Hope the work is going well. And like I told Trudy cant believe you are so much colder than we are.

Jean we had grey yesterday but today the fog is gone and sun is shining! Hope you have the same. How cool you are seeing grackles. I think the birds are ready for spring as much as we are!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... it is still very cold outside and I am not so sure I will go for my hike today. It is a nice one to Dodds Narrows where we had lunch with the seals, but I doubt there will be any seals there this time of year. It will be icy and slippery also, so I really have to think about whether I will go or not. A light dusting of snow overnight and as I listen to the weather man this morning, they are saying more snow on the way :mmph: Had a nice facetime with Heather and Hunter yesterday, poor little Hunter still has a bit of a cold, but full of smiles and crawling all over the place. He keeps Heather busy!! Mason is doing well and loving school, however he has a bad tooth that needs to be extracted and will have to go to a specialist as there is no way he will let a Dentist give him a needle to freeze his mouth. He has some anxiety issues and Heather feels he needs to see someone about them, so perhaps a child psychologist ? He has fears about using the toilet, getting his hair cut and still does not say much to his teachers at school. He loves going to school and has no problem with his friends that he has there, but will not interact with the teachers much. I wish I could help!!

Chris - I can't believe you are still having to deal with the bill for your MRI!! Does anybody know what they are doing?? Sometimes you really wonder, don't you!! It will be so nice to get away from it all for a bit, even if the weather is crappy, it will be a nice break for you and Cait! Sorry your dog park is a mud puddle, but hey the temps are warm and hopefully it will dry up soon. Get those taxes done, then it will be over with and you won't have to stress about it anymore LOL. Maybe your cleaning job will go quickly today and then you can face that daunting tax job.

Nancy - I suppose we will be able to watch the game tonight if it starts at 11 for you then it will be 8pm for us. It should be a good game, but we are not expecting Canada to win, the USA women are very good!! Glad you were able to get your tickets, so frustrating when things don't work the way they should, seems everything is hard to get these days! Technology was supposed to improve our lives, but I really wonder sometimes! Hope you and Luther have a nice walk this morning at least you won't be freezing your buns off LOL. Another great meal made by you last night, I love stir fry!

I am needing my second cup of coffee this morning and then I must decide if I am going hiking this morning or not. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning, ladies. Just got back from dropping Taz off at daycare. It is so cold out (21 which is unusual for Vancouver weather). The hummers haven't come to the feeder yet so they must be sleeping later into the morning b/c of the cold. Hope they are ok.

Yes, I did well at VV yesterday (ha ha when do I not???). Got an amazing pair of casual slip-on shoes that look new and are exactly what I have been searching for. I managed to get a few more sweaters, tshirts, hoodies and pajamas too. I know I say it all the time now but gee....I sure love the selection in my wardrobe now. I had brought 4 pairs of shoes to VV last wk and now between Sun and Tues shopping I've replaced them with 4 more pairs that I like much better.

Today I have work, chores, groceries and laundry to do.

Chris - spending 3 days in your jammies, relaxing, hanging out with your family....that sounds wonderful. It's funny about birthdays, how some bother us more than others. I felt old when I turned 50 and didn't enjoy that milestone event but then a few months ago when I turned 60 I felt just fine about it. I'm proud to be a (healthy) senior and the age doesn't bother me at all.

Nancy - I'm not surprised you had another great dinner. Did you ever put together a book with all your recipes? That would be amazing. I've gotten off track with my food pages. I need to get back to it.

Trudy - you might be wise about skipping the hike. It might be slippery and icy and if you don't have a proper warm jacket you might be too cold. I wish you were here, I'd give you one of my coats. If you ever come to the Vancouver area we'll have to go shopping together :)

I'm getting to work now. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Yesterday's warmth was so welcome! I just walked around the neighborhood and saw and heard many birds. I went to one neighbor's yard to photograph her winter aconite in bloom and found one snowdrop too. Now looking forward to Friday when the Indians play their first spring training game.

Chris, I'm thinking the weekend away will be so great for all of you and gives you something to look forward to. Good luck with the cleaning and taxes today. Funny about turning 50, I don't remember how that felt but I know around that time I was feeling old. Many years later I feel less old than then. Crazy, eh?

Nancy, little things can be so aggravating, but you persevered and got the tickets. Hope the women's hockey game tonight goes well (sorry, Trudy). Your dinners sound so wonderful but it'll be nice not cooking tonight.

Trudy, think it would be better if you didn't go on the hike. Icy just makes me nervous. Hope Hunter feels better soon but he sounds like a nice active little one. Hope his big brother gets to deal with his fears and that tooth.

Rae, your shopping prowess just keeps on amazing all the time. Hope your weather warms up soon. Our heat was just a passing fancy and it could be icy then snow here.

Felis, hope you're having a good week off.

Hello ladies,
it's rainy and dark here :rain: . So I don't mind to spend Thursday inside at cleaning (here is Thursday morning already).
The yesterday's party was fun, even not Spring at all :p .

Jean, so good that you have a Spring. Here was the same previous week, but this rain scared it.

Rae, aww you are the shopping queen! Sounds like great finds!

Trudy, I know how much you enjoy your hike, so I still wondering how is possible to not have a winter coat :). This is some prejudice that I have, but how is possible winter without dense coat? I think will be good Heather to find child psychologist or something just for her comfort and information. But really no need everyone to be put in frame. Just because Mason not act like all other kids on his age don't mean anything, except he have stronger individuality. Hope Hunter get better soon! Probably is boring to be sick when you are so active at the same time!

Nancy, I find for very frustrating when have to deal with so many complication, like you I don't get it why sometimes system is so disorganized. Uh, 'mobile' is supposed to be time saving, correct?! But good that you got the tickets at final!

Chris, hmm, these daily stuff don't sounds much fun, but they have impact, so better to be done before your vacancy trip, then to stay in your mind all the time like a dark cloud. Go girl!
I know that all will calm down and be back to normal soon, my mom just don't have to watch so much news. When something is repeating too much people start to worry unnecessary, like the ghost stories at previous ages, now is the same with the violence.

Have a lovely evening/night/morning/day (I'm not sure which part of the day is to you now) you all! :cof3:
