Its Wednesday and I have a long day ahead of me, for sure.
Bus stop, babysitting, food shopping and then work. blergh!!

Yesterday seemed like just another blur of a day. But there was a little ray of hope in the morning. When I took the kids to the bus at 6:40, I could see the sun coming up and some birds were chirping. It felt like spring couldn't be to far away, at least until it started snowing like crazy in the afternoon.... sheesh.....

We also spoke to the Prosecutor about the trail. Apparently Scott is an important witness because he is the one that set the ball in motion for her to come forward and report her step-father. We meet with them tomorrow for some background work, then he'll have to meet with them again to get a tour of the court, prep for questioning and cross-examination. When I am able to step back and look at it all objectively, I can see that this is a "character-builder" and will be a positive experience for him in that he will see the judicial system in action, he will feel good about doing the right thing, even when it is not the easy thing. Then I pop back into Mom-Mode and some of that doesn't sound so good, yannow? LOL

ugh-- poor Gary has been up since 5, his blood sugar is near 400. he did a set change for his insulin pump (sometimes the needle gets bent under the skin and can't deliver the insulin) but he is feeling very sick and is throwing up some more from it. he does not seem to get a break, does he?

Anyway-- that's my day. Wish me luck at the grocery store. Oh and the pharmacy too- I have 6 Rx's to drop off between the 2 kids. Yay! I am back to playing Rx Roulette. Which ones will the insurance cover today?
:faint:

Have a wonderful dayyyy!!!

Quick personals today!

Laurie -- if more parents were able to keep their kids home (thinking mostly day care here) I bet there would be a lot less spreading of germs. I know when I was teaching, I didn't get any paid sick time, and when you did call in sick, there we never any subs so it really put the pressure on the co-workers to take in your class. I would go to work totally sick and just give the germs back to the kids who gave it to me b/c their parents didn't have any sick time. Talk about an unending cycle. That';s when I discovered the miracle of Garlic pills LOL

Phyllis- so happy that you had a great time with the G-Men!!! Air and Space Museum sounds amazing!!! Hoep you can scrap your pages are always so incredible.
Thx for the hugs- it can get very discouraging to keep getting stuck in the cycle of lyme.... will it ever end? Don't think so!

Terry- how did your mom do at the drs? Hope that it is not anything serious.

Nancy- how cool is that that you took a pic of you taking a pic on TV!! Love that!!!

Trudy- yeah, its that time of year. Tired of the winter for sure!!!

Linda S- so good to be home, right??? Can't wait to see how you scrap that journey!

Meg- 3rd relapse..... it never ends..... :( This is my third relapse, and Gary just never gets any better.....
I know you get it-- auto-immune stuff sucks!!!

Plus tonight I get to watch a new episode of Criminal Minds!! (not sure that is good before bed- but works better than in daylight!)

Oh Chris................... one giant tight hug for all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I were granted a wish today, I would give it to you sweetie!!!!

Well...............I have been wrapping my head around this for a week now, but I can't get used to it, so I will just go ahead and share.....my daughter Traci (the one whose children I have custody of) got married last week...............blows me away............I wasn't shocked, because nothing she does or says shocks me anymore, but I was surprised a bit, because I really never thought she would get married...and because of the kids still being with me, I am not sure how I am suppose to react...I guess I am more numb to her than I realized, because when she told me, I just sat there, and did not know if I should hug her or say "WTH ARE YOU THINKING?" I think she was surprised I didn't have some sort of wild reaction. All I can do is hope that this is a possible solution to her issues....that she can straighten her life out.

Okay....now that I have added yet another chapter to my LIFETIME MOVIE of a life, I will go and get my kiddos off to school!!!

I have a bunch of work to do today since I took most of the day off yesterday--taking my mom to the doctor.

To make a long story short--at this point we know my mom has a compression fracture at the L1. She is having a CT and MRI done tomorrow. Should know more after those two studies. I'm hoping she also does not have stuff going on with her right hip--she broke it a few years ago. After the studies---will be scheduling a visit with a neurosurgeon. Not looking good for my mom. Don't even get me started on the doctor visit---let's just say I am more than mad when I found out the doctors office has known about the fracture since Feb 5th and DID NOT call my mother.

Last night Craig and I went to two high school basketball play off games. No--neither one was our local high school. Craig just loves any sport--we watch them all. One game was good the other one stunk. I hate to see a 20 point spread in a play off game. Like those nail biting close games. My son's basketball team won their first game in the play off's. It is the first time in more than 10 years his team has won a play off game. Wish he didn't live so far--we would go watch his game.

Need to get my rear in gear and go to the gym. Missed it yesterday. Then to work. Hope you all have a great day.

Quick one here...

There is no place like home...even with a blizzard coming this way tomorrow. Got to take Dad to the grocery store tonight...no matter what. Looking forward to a weekend at home unless Syd's basketball tournament is on...I'm doubting that because of the blizzard but we will see.

Good morning - We are having lots of wind here in NJ too! Bummed! Means too cold for me to walk outside. Not much else going on at my house.

Chris that is a way too high glucose level. I hope it come down fast. No wonder he is nauseous. Good luck with all the Lyme disease.

Linda your daughter's marriage must have been shock. I know that my sister found out her granddaughter got married because people saw the change on Facebook. She is 18 and it was right out of high school. You do wonder what are they thinking.

Laurie I love knowing you are working out each day.

Terry so cool that you still follow high school sports. Congrats to your son the coach for the play off win

Linda S I was wondering if you were in the path of the blizzard. I guess you are! Good luck with that! Should be good for winter photos.

Have a great day all

BRRRRRR!!!! here we go again. more snow. more wind. more winter. Chris, i've been hearing birds, too. but the poor things are probably huddled around someone's chimney at the moment.

Nana. holy cow. well, hopefully it's a guy who will be good for her and move her in a good direction. hugs to YOU, dear amazing person.

Linda. when i read about your trip home, i wondered, is ANYWHERE worth the hassle of dealing with planes and airports??? well, you know what my answer is. all i can say is that Maui must be AMAZING. glad you're home, but bummer about arriving in time for a blizzard. are you sending that MY way??? guess i better check out the forecast.

Terry, i think high school sports are the BEST. if i could talk my husband into it, i'd go to HS hockey games. they're just so much fun to watch.
Don't even get me started on the doctor visit---let's just say I am more than mad when I found out the doctors office has known about the fracture since Feb 5th and DID NOT call my mother.
why do i feel that we're going to be seeing more and more of this sort of thing. the "you're old, so just take a pain pill" attitude from doctors?

Laurie, i don't have any idea what Criminal Minds is!! i have to look into this!

Nancy, we somehow avoided the worst of the wind, though we were forecast to get it. i just wish this stupid SNOW would stop....

Chris, what does Gary have to do when his sugar is up so high?? i don't know anything about pumps. when the needle gets bent, is that something he can take care of himself, or is a trip to the Dr. required? wow. scary.

me? well, since the weather is going to totally BITE again, i am probably just staying home and doing housework and ironing. i'm also looking forward to making a stir fry for lunch with cauliflower "rice." i miss Chinese restaurants SOOOOO badly, and this cauliflower thing really hits the spot. so....looks like LUNCH will be the high point of my day. pitiful.

enjoy Wednesday. divert all blizzards from MY house!!

Happy Humpday ladies!! Brrr cold here this morning too, the hummingbird feeders were all frozen this morning so quickly had to bring them in and warm them up a bit. Birds are happily feeding again. I don't know how those little things keep warm when it is so cold out for them? Guess they are much tougher than they look!

Chris - Poor Gary!! You are right he just can't seem to catch a break can he? So proud of your young man though, how exciting, but scary too!! Hopefully everything goes well and he won't be disappointed in the criminal system!! Here's hoping your health care covers all of your meds today!!

Laurie - I will also be watching Criminal Minds tonight, one of our favourite shows!! We have watched it since the beginning episode. MG and I have just finished watching Rome again for the second time we bought it on Blue Ray and have been popping in an episode whenever there is nothing else good to watch in the evening.

Nana Linda - Oh my what a shock  well I guess nothing that Traci does shocks you anymore like you said. Do you know the man that she married? Is he a good man?? Oh I hope so!! You are amazing my friend! Your life is like an episode of Peyton Place, opps that's dating myself isn't it!!!!!! :becky: Big  for you today my friend, you need it !! Enjoy a day without kids at home today at least for a few hours anyway!

Terry - OMG how frustrating to be dealing with drs and nurses, what do they think?? That just because your mother is elderly that she does not matter??? I have dealt with drs for over 10 yrs with my daughter and really, I could just string some of them up by their you know whats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Self centered sons of *&^%$#'s There now I feel better, how about you?? :becky:

Nancy - Hope you don't get blown away today! Do you have a treadmill that you could walk on today?

Phylis - Will try to send some milder weather your way my friend, The sun is coming out and warming everything up here today, not sure how long that will last though. Your stir fry for lunch sounds very yummy!! Wish I could come over for a bite :hungry: My day is sounding pretty pitiful too, the highlight of my day will be wrapping up my Sweet Sadie's dolly that I got her for her birthday and getting it out in the mail. :bored:

So I slept in til 7am this morning, nice to get a good rest because lately its been tossing and turning for most of the night and having to get up to pee a couple of times a night. Sheesh when will I learn not to drink so much water after supper??? MG wakes up everyday and says what a great sleep he has had, I could just hit him with a fish!! LOL :fish:
