Oh thank goodness we aren't getting any snow today. Unfortunately, we might get more snow Sunday, Tuesday, and the following Thursday! Winter is BS! @felis did you get any of it from me? I tried to send it all your way. ;)
Whatever was supposed to be here on Friday looks like it is passing by so at least there is that.
Other than doing a bit of shoveling, I stayed away from the windows so I wouldn't have to see too much of it. Makes my family breathe a bit easy when they don't have to listen to me complain about the weather. Sorry that you ladies can't do that same. hehe.
I did finish the scrap page and uploaded that. My SIL shared another couple of photos of Christopher on FB so I am going to snag them to do some more today. If I can... my brain isn't functioning too well ATM. Although I am soooo darn relieved that I am sleeping better. W only woke me up a few times to let her under the covers, none for letting her outside.

Gary is picking up the grocery order and Ray's pawprint this morning, Any time that I don't have to deal with the cold, I am happy. I have to find a small project to do around the house today. I am trying to do *something* every day- yesterday I washed all of the wine glasses that hang over the island. Since we haven't had a party here since Christmas 2019, I had no reason to do that and my goodness they were dusty. Maybe today I can reorganize the linen closet upstairs. It is too cold to deal with the freezer.
I know that I am going to listen to some of the impeachment trial this afternoon. History in the making. :(

Sending BIG hugs!! xoxo

@nancyr Did it ever snow by you? It looked like even just a few miles south of me didn't get any. We got maybe another 5" Was your dinner another Blue Apron? The mayo/honey sounds like an interesting combination.
Whew!!!!!! Great news about MG!!!! That has to be such a relief. Hockey schedules must be a bit head-spinning for everyone. But at least they are playing. Happy/jealous that you got more scrap pages done too.

@taxed4ever You are so sweet to the hummingbirds. Wasn't it just a few days ago you washed your car and were doing yard work? Good for you still getting your laps in. Me and J-- both of us are starting to pack on the pounds. We were playing the "stair game" where she grabs a toy and we chase each other around the stairs and neither of us could go very fast. I am also good for wasting time and getting distracted. I hope that Hunter isn't having the tantrums anymore-- is he sleeping better by now?
Hehe, cleaning all day with no one underfoot sure is a different experience than having little devils messing it up behind you, bet Heather was very happy having a clean house at least until everyone got back home again.

@bcgal00 hope you and Taz had a nice day out and about and that you all stayed warm. How has your back been?

@LSlycord Ugh- sounds like you had a frustrating day with the college stuff. How awesome that Syd is dual-enrolling. I can't tell you how many majors Scott had. Better that the kids take their time and find the right one - hope she doesn't put pressure on herself too much. Good luck to them both.
A bit of advice since I hear about this from Caitlyn as an advisor- be careful with AP and dual-enrollment classes. If Sydney knows where she is going to college FT, find out *exactly* if these credits will transfer into a specific major. Cait's students are Bio majors and because many Bio kids end up in PreMed, her college doesn't accept AP credits in biology. They accept the credits as electives but they still have to take Bio at the college. She had one student who had several bio and chem classes as AP/Dual credits but still had to take them again. It has something to do with most medical schools wanting those classes to be taken in a college/university setting. If you need more specifics, LMK and I will get details from Caitlyn.
Christopher is going to be 10 in May! 10!!! He is almost as tall as me. He is amazing and I miss him so much. We met up on Christmas Eve in my parents' driveway and that was the only time I have seen him in person in the past year :(

@felis I think it would feel weird to go shopping too! I remember when this started and Caitlyn was thinking that we would still be able to go on the cruise in July. It doesn't surprise me that people are having illegal parties. My state had a few speakeasies get busted a few months ago. It is so odd how history sort of repeats itself.
You sound like me at Christmas since I try to buy local when I can and this year it was 99% Amazon.
Caitlyn would find clipart online, print it out, and then use them as guides for decorating her journals. Yes, there is something extremely satisfying about crossing things off a to-do list. :)
We always see the group cremation option so we can't get ashes back that way but if we wanted to pay for a separate cremation we could. But the paw print is fine by us. We will put Ray's collar/tags on the trail in the woods that belong to our neighbor this summer, next to where we have Harley's. We had a little ceremony for her years ago and they offered to us to do the same this year too. Hugs-- I know it is difficult to think about for you too.

@Cherylndesigns I cannot imagine how frustrating it is to not have internet. I hope they get it running soon.

better get going! xo

Good morning everyone! Brrrr!!! Its very chilly this morning and there is a heavy coat of frost on everything out there. Hummingbirds got some nice warm syrup this morning as we brought in the feeder last night. I will have to keep checking on it throughout the day as I don't think we will get above freezing for the next couple of days. @bcgal00 Rae I am looking for a warmer for the feeder today! Thanks for the suggestion! I enjoyed my swim yesterday and the lady that organizes the lap pool schedule is a close friend of the family, so she has been great for making sure I get registered for the next week. How awesome is that! I will be making her a thank you card today! Perhaps a little gift card to go along with it?? I had a lovely face time with Heather and Hunter yesterday morning and although Hunter was interested in other things, it was nice to see him so happy just spending the day with his Mommy! Sure am missing everyone, its been since August of 2019, far too long!! This Grandma Heart is getting very sad! Anyway on to other things... I am almost done with a layout for one of the challenges and should be able to complete it this morning. DH took my CRV to work as he couldn't get the doors open on his poor old frozen truck. He will be home at noon for his lunch and will switch over then. Not that I need the car, no where to go, no one that I can see LOL. DH is taking this Friday off and we hope to be able to deliver some things to the In-Laws and check to see if there is anything they need done. Guess it will depend on the weather as we are supposed to be getting some snow. MIL called yesterday to chat and said that FIL has been busy doing lots of yard work. (that man never quits working). Guess where my Gary gets it from LOL. I think that they are getting pretty lonely, so a social distance visit might be a good thing. So today is another day just like every other day. I will putter around the house doing this and that and hopefully find a warmer for the hummingbird feeder. How exciting is that!!! LOL.

@faerywings - Glad to hear that the snow has stopped at least for today! Winter must seem never ending when all you see is white stuff everywhere and now more on the way for next week. Heather has lots of snow too and they were all outside this past weekend making a snow tunnel. Jonah sent a video of them all going through it, even Heather crawled her way through several times playing with the boys! It made me very proud of my little girl struggling to pull herself through like a trooper!! She had a big smile on her face and was giggling :). Yes it was just the other day that I was washing the car and only needed a light sweater and then the polar vortex hit the whole country hard! Happy that we are here on the West Coast and not the prairie where it has gotten to minus 50C. That is crazy cold!! We are at minus 5C right now, so I really should not complain. o_O. That is nice that you are sleeping better, I have been sleeping better also. It is nice to not have to listen to whatever crazy rants you know who was doing on twitter anymore! Hopefully you do not let the impeachment trial ruin your good nights sleep!!

@bcgal00 - Thanks for the suggestion for the warmer! I will be searching around for one today! Hope that you get some hits for your search for the new puppy! Taz would love the company I bet! A new addition to the family would keep you and your DH very busy too! Hope your back is doing well and you are able to get out for your walks. Be careful on those icy streets!!

@LSlycord - I do not envy you trying to get things organized for the kids schooling! Hopefully the site will be open soon and the application process will go smoothly! I too wish I could come to have coffee at your place and perhaps have a dip in your lovely pool LOL. It sounds very tranquil and a whole lot warmer where you are! I swim at the local rec centre, it was built a few years back but is a great facility with a competition pool and another large area for family swims with a wave pool and lazy river pool also. The competition pool is the only one open because of COVID and we now have to book times to swim which can get frustrating. I have been lucky to have a friend who works there take care of me though ;)

@felis - Nice to hear that you were out and about shopping! I agree it will be at least another year before we see anything really return to some kind of normal. It is sad, but people just are not listening to the advice that is given. I do feel badly for the younger people who only want to see their friends and enjoy their young lives!

@Cherylndesigns - Oh my goodness it must be so very frustrating to not have the WiFi!! I would be going stir crazy for sure! Hope you are able to get to your daughters today to get things downloaded! Will keep my fingers crossed that you get your WiFi very, very soon!

Waving hello to Kay and Nancy this morning, hope you are keeping well and staying warm! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Got out in the yard this morning to feed the birds and pour some boiled water into the birdbath to thaw a bit of water out for them. I saw them hopping all over it, wanting to take their bath. Got some pics of the thrush. I don't see that one too often, it had been months since the last sighting so it's been so nice to see it here this past month.

Haven't seen any poodle or small/med sized pups for sale in our area, there is just nothing out there, everyone is reserved this year. So, there is a good change we won't be getting another dog this year. It's disheartening b/c I really was starting to want one but we'll be fine, we love Taz and he was used to not having another dog around before Bella so he'll get used to it again. I'll keep looking b/c you never know but the chances are slim.

Today I'll head out to run errands and will do some meal planning. Got a magnetic weekly menu/grocery list to help me remember what prep work to do and dinner meals for the wk. Laundry needs to be done too. Work load should be reasonable, no backlog today which is nice.

@faerywings Jen got Noel's footprint last week. Sad to see his tiny print but I think B will be happy to have it to remind her.
@taxed4ever I got my heater here. they have a pic of it on their homepage. I think they ship. If you can't find something local, you might be able to get one from them. Good luck finding one.

I'm going to get to work, I see a few files have transferred over to me now. Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon, gals. Been busy with a page. I was using a template. Had the perfect photos so put it together fairly quickly. Then realized that one photo in that special event folder was one I had saved from a travel site so I could remember the hotel ... which was a big no-no for a CT page. So back to finding what I could use as a replacement. Of course, it was for a big photo mask under 2 smaller ones. Found another photo - put it in place and did a resave and a jpeg. About 15 minutes later, I looked at the page and realized that part of the small text on the photo mask was across part of my face!!! Grrrr .... Took a deep breath and got up from the computer for a few minutes. Then came back and got it corrected. This time I made sure I had my glasses on and did an up-close check to see exactly where the text on the mask was and that it wasn't on my face. Some pages go together so easily and then there are ones like this that a lot more time.

Chris, you are really getting slammed by the snow... as are many of the gals. Our turn is coming this weekend - snow and COLD temps will be here starting Friday. Glad you got a page done and great that SiL is sharing photos with you. Did you get more rest last night??? hope so.

Cheryl... so sorry about the WiFi being out. Must be so frustrating for you. Was it due to the snow storm you got??? I saw your FB photo.

Trudy, had to LOL that you were talking about no snow so your DH hadn't got to use his snow blower and then you got slammed, too. Your friend is so good to make sure you got your swimming reservation in. All the pools are closed here in our state. So nice of you to put out bird seed... hope you find a heater for your hummingbird feeder.

Rae, glad to hear that B is doing better. Yes, it will be good for her to see Jan in person soon. Nice that your work load is light enough to give you time to get things done around the house.

Well, the tummy is letting me know it is empty so off to get some lunch.

@bcgal00 petfinder.com One check, please!

I had just a terrible day! And Spending half hour in petfinder didn't help to my mood! One of the dogs from Mission, BC is Tiny a 9 month old 5 lb Chihuahua. She even is in the same color as mine. this is closest to the crying face that I found :( Chris for nothing on this world do not opened this site!!! It's my recommendation only for Rae.
So girls, I don't remember do we are discussed this before. But I want to be completely clear that in my country things are quite different! I'm never ever being paid, not even stotinka (which is our cents) for my fostering activity. And when somebody adopt one of my cats they get it totally for free, there is no cost. Adoption is completely free, I'm not raise slaves, and don't earn anything material from that! It always makes me sad how on your continent you have to pay for adoption. And if Rae have to pay for dog adoption I'm not surprised that she prefer to buy from certified breeders. Most breeders are very nice people who are truly cared about the animals, so this slogan "adopt not shop" is not just stupid, but have no sense if you'll pay anyway.

So Chris I'm expecting the snow you send me impatiently!

Trudy, hope weather to not prevent your plans!

Kay, I'm too often like that, and the worst part is that I see the mistakes after I'm already uploaded this layout. So I have to change it at the gallery.

Yey, the attach files button is able for me too! I guess I have to thanks to @wombat146, thank you darling!

Good evening, my Oooozzzzies,

Can I just tell you that not having "real" wifi sucks!!! Can I say that word??? LOL I have a "hotspot" that's not any more powerful than using my cell phone as a hotspot. The last few days have been horrible trying to download these big files that we get with our digi scrapping designs! We finally figured out what was wrong with my Dd's wifi - after 4 of us beat our heads against the wall (not really, but I felt like it). So now, at least, I can go back down there.

I'm going to tell you that sitting in the the parking lot at the corner restaurant- in my car - downloading about 12 zip files is NO fun at all!! I have to push my seat way back, hold my laptop and try to use my mouse at the same time. It wasn't the fastest, either, but it had enough OOMMPH to download them. I had saved them all up for a day or so.

The kids brought me one of their hotspots tonight and my laptop (only) is hooked up to this one. We're using 2 laptops, 2 phones and sometimes the tv on the other one. I was able to download one zipped file with their borrowed wifi, so I'm happy. I couldn't even download templates.

@faerywings that's so sweet that you got the paw print. They're so special and so sweet. We have a couple of them and I have our first Poodle's ashes still from years ago. She was Chuck and mine's very first dog together.

@felis - it's not cheap to adopt a pet here - but they're spayed/neutered and have all of their shots, which saves a lot of money in the long run. To buy a dog from a breeder is $$$$$$$$'s - our Daisy was a gift, but the breeder wanted $3000 for her - she's a Labradoodle. Like I said, she was a gift, but that's a LOT of money! She's a "Parti-Doodle" half black and half white and I guess she's more valuable. When I say she was a gift, we "inherited her". My DD got her, then said she couldn't take care of her, so voila! we were "gifted a Labradoodle".

@bcgal00 I guess I've been under a rock. What happened to Bella? Good luck finding a Poodle. We looked and looked for one a few years ago to no avail. If you want a standard, they seem to be a bit more plentiful.

Hope everybody is well and those of you in the tundra are staying warm. We're finally in the tundra. We had an ice storm last night and it's pretty cold. I guess they haven't had anything like this for 7 or 8 years. Figures, no? We come and the weather gets wicked. It's the first really bad weather we've had all winter though, so I'm not complaining (too much) - it's still not a "Michigan Winter".

Hugs to all and sorry I didn't do very many personals. I've got to get busy and start catching up on commenting in the gallery. We're still busy with family. The adults left and the kids stayed.
