The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I can't imagine why I am confused about it being February. Could it be that it was 60* yesterday? I spent an hour doing yard work and hiked the trail in my neighbor's back yard. In January.... its crazy, but I love it. Hopefully, the reservoirs and ground water will be able to stay at decent levels through the summer if we don't get much snow the next 2 months.
But for now-- I am thrilled!

Not much else going on here, hopefully I'll get to see my mom today. She is finally starting to feel better now that she is on new abx. And if I have time, i want to try a few of the new Feb Challenges that are getting posted today. Good stuff, for sure!!!!

Gotta check onthe kids, make sure they are getting ready on time. Then, more coffee, and I'll be back.:smokin:

well, I can't have the coffee, atm.... catzilla is next to me, and if she sees the mug near my face she tries to push it away. Best case scenario- I get cat hair in my coffee. Worst-- it sloshes all over me.

Oh well, it gives me more time to do personals!

i think i was caught up to everyone up till my Trudy!
How was YMG's birthday dinner? Did you have the whole family or did it end up just being the IL's? Hope that you had a really enjoyable day off.

Eva- I hear ya. Its like adding insult to injury. I could handle the whole PMS/monthly crap wheni was younger knowing that it was for a grand purpose. Now that I am and have been DONE with the baby dept. what good is in *any* of it?? Gah!!!

nana-- truth!!! I used to think that there was no way men could handle pregnancy-- but menopause on top of it? ha!
women really do rock!
How did your demons do the rest of the day?

Maureen- My mom was like that too- I can remember all of the times we'd be out and she'd have to run home to change. I am not that bad, but its close. :(

I am sorry for your grief, but I can see that you know you have to do what is the best for you, as hard as it is to let it/her go. I love your line about the tears being prayers you need to heal yourself. I actually just read about a study on the three types of tears your body produces and the chemical composition of the "emotional" tear is very different than the lubrication and irritant flushing types.

Trudy- ITA. maureen is one heck of a woman. But then again-- we *all* are!!!:)

WWW:
I wish and want and pray that Maureen finds peace and that her DD accepts help.
i want all of my O-Fam to catch the hugs I am sending to them.
I wish i didn't have to go food shopping again. LOL

Morning- I have not been very active in the dailies, perhaps february will be better. I missed the good weather yesterday- heard about it from all my patients though!

Hello!! *waving*

I'm (trying to be) back after busy days at work. Tomorrow we'll get the new zucchini/courgette plants. And than we have some easy layedback weeks LOL Untill the darn vegetables needs to be cut!

Well ... since I've had major fertility problems all my life, I've never seen the purpose of it ;)

At least - I was one time lucky, and that kid is so spoiled I might have to kick him out

Good morning my lovelies. We have now had 2 days in a row with 60 plus degrees. And today in the 50's. Make me think I am in March or April. Typing on my iPad while drying my hair...probably will be a bas hair day. Lol. But I wanted to be sure to get a "hi" out to all of you. Have a great day.

yesterday was UNBELIEVABLE! i drove home from Restoration Hardware with my car window OPEN! it was wonderful. i was grinning just thinking to myself: it's January 31 in the northeast and my WINDOW is open!!

Chris, hard to believe there's so much difference with water between where you are and where i am. i can only remember twice in my life when (too little) water was an issue here, and that's because we have a well. this whole area is sopping wet all the time. it's like a rain forest here, west of the Alleghenies.

and, no. your stomach will NOT be flatter if you get a hysterectomy!( i was hoping that i might have lost a few pounds after they removed all the crap, but i really didn't.) i don't think you need a "reason" much more than the intense pain and clots. i just told my DR. i couldn't stand the pain anymore, which i couldn't.

Eva, me, too. and i was only One Time Lucky, as well. dunno what the POINT of female troubles are.

i think today might be the day when i finally break down and put the polyurethane on the refinished dining room table. i've been putting it off for weeks. then i have to sand and restain and polyurethane the scratches i made in the wood of my garden window. long story, but so typically me. then i have to post some stuff on Craig's List. getting rid of some dolls and stuff that were my daughter's when she was little. i had been saving them for "her kids," some day. but since she hasn't spoken to us in a month, i'm clearing out some stuff. enough of this hoping that my kids will ever return to being the kind of people they used to be. i'm moving on. and hopefully with less stuff than i have now.

enjoy your Wednesday, me dears.

how fast will a hamsters leg heal if its broken??? poor thing is favoring its back leg.... :( only had her for a few days now....

:lalala:

I refuse to believe that! LOL

Kristy- on no! How could s/he have broken her leg? never had hamsters, only rats. Can you call your vet? we have one that specializes in small animals as well as cats and dogs.other than that, try google.

are they together? You might want to separate them so it they don't knock into each other and make it worse.

Good Morning O ladies... Sure wish we were having the warm temps that a lot of you are having!! Not really cold here but certainly not as warm as most of you!! It really is kind of scary to think that there might not be enough water to last through the summer, not an issue here, but sounds like it could be for many areas!! What is going on with out weather??

Chris - Your Catzilla really does want all of your attention doesn't she!! Hope you get to enjoy your coffee soon!! How great that you got to walk on the trails and even better. how nice that you got out to do some work in your yard!! I am anxiously waiting for things to dry up here so I can do the same!! MG's birthday dinner was delicious and it ended up just being us and the IL's not sure what happened to hubbys sister and BIL?? I am sure I will hear about in the coming days though!! :drama:

Laurie, Eva and Yvonne - hope you all get to spend more time here soon!! Have a great day!

LindaS - Wow you must be talented to be able to blow dry your hair and type at the same time!! :hail:

Phylis - Wow how nice that you got to drive home with the windows open!! The fresh air must have felt and smelled so good!! A wonderful way to clear out the cobwebs!! Good luck selling your stuff on Craigs list, although I am sorry that you are having issues with your kids! It must be so hard, I can't imagine!!

Kristy - Get used to replacing many hamsters!! They have a very short life span and a lot of them get sick and die quickly!! Are you sure her leg is broken?? It might be some sort of illness. Perhaps you could go back to the place you got her and have her replaced with a healthy one??

Well I am off to the gallery and then to the shower, :brushteeth: and to work. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!!

GOOD AFTERNOON................

Been out running errands this morning.....picked up our new glasses...pretty fast, huh?? Ordered on Friday...back on Tuesday...YES!!!! and a couple of other things....then back to feed the crumb snatchers.....

Now....Just sitting down for a bit....

As for my "demons" .....well yesterday, they finally sprouted pointed ears, grew tails and found some pitch forks!!!!! UUUGGGHHH...WORST DAY EVER with those two!!! After the boys got here I took them all to the park....it was 70 degrees!!! They were all great then....but the "getting out of the house" to go was a disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While I was gathering snacks and drinks for them, the girls snuck outside and went to the back and got in the sandbox...had to DE-SAND them before they could get in the car....and then Savannah lost her shoes out there somewhere....Cameran finally found them....HE GOT A GOLD STAR....and I nearly had a stroke before we could go!!!! I just want to know HOW THE HE%& do women my age handle this????????????? HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! :israel:

But....today is better...and that's what matters :becky:

Painting starts tomorrow...so if you don't see me for a couple of days.....I am COVERED UP :biggrin1: Yes...probably with paint on me :pound: You gotta know that Mike is not going let me get through the day without smudging some on me on purpose!!!! LET'S JUST SEE WHO CAN GET WHO FIRST!! :heh:

yeah the cage we bought was broken so she got out and fell quite a distance to the floor....poor thing they said there really isn't anything they can do cause they'll just eat a splint right off....either she'll heal fully or have a limp forever....guess we'll find out! they did give me a new cage thogh

little update on the hamster...shes doing GOOD! shes up and running in her wheel and moving around great!
