I am the little Faery-Engine that could. I am chugging along, albeit very slowly and circuitously. That is lifting my mood which makes it easier for me to focus. All good things. yes!

I still hate the weather so don't thing that the Faery-Grinch is gone. bwuhahaha! My town got *clobbered* with snow and ice. Trees down, roads closed, power outages. Even today there are some issues. I think that the official snow amount was 10.2" but it was heavy.
This is my Japanese Maple.

W was having a blast running around with the long branches after they broke off.
And this is the tree along the side of my house.

The town's schools were closed Mon and Tues and have a delayed opening today. So glad I don't have deal with that anymore.
Besides shoveling and scraping 1" of ice off of the cars, got a bunch of stuff done. I finished my food shopping and will pick that up today. I made an appt for my hair on Friday. I started to gather ideas/products/ingredients for the F-Ws baskets. I had a good heart-to-heart with Caitlyn. She said that she is sort of surprised at how easy it is getting over the breakup. I replied that I think she knew it all along that he wasn't the one and she agreed. She also said that she is now mad that she wasn't the one to break up with him and she is annoyed. That is my girl! I even got to start a scrap page.

Today is going to be a bit chopped up. I have to go to the UPS store to ship back Brendan's Christmas gift. Drop off books at the library, see if I can find any new ones. Pick up my groceries and then I am off to clean in the afternoon. The washing machine repair tech will be here between 2-5.
In the midst of all of that I want to finish and upload my LO, and plastic over a few more windows.
Gary has been asking me for gift ideas and I am coming up with nothing-- you all know me pretty well, what would I like?? :D

wishing all of you a warm and happy day!

Trudy- I am cheering you on for your Calendar. However, I know that you always stress and you *always* get it done beautifully too. Did you get the pages done?
You are crossing lots of things off of your list too-- great job! :high5:
I am very happy that the rolling pin is still around. I miss the coffee ones, though ha!

Jean- How was the mtg and lunch? What did you decide on for BILs evil cat. (Aren't all cats a bit evil?) TY again for the hugs for me and my Pook. She loves all of you guys.

Kay- I think everyone gets a bit grumpy this time of year too. So much stress and so unnecessary. Yup, only in my family would we give love to mice beofre we release them. Actually, my BILs family is the same. My SIL and my nieces found what they thought were baby mice abandoned and they brought them into the garage and dropper fed them. As they got a bit older, she realized that they were squirrels- the "evil cats of the wild." haha!! She had been struggling with squirrels eating her outdoor furniture and couldn't believe that they were rescuing a new family of them :pound: One more reason why our kids are so close- they love animals and they all have crazy moms
Linda Howard- what kind of books does she write?
I think that your Christmas present is going to be wonderful! Pretend to be surprised :p
I understand about the lack-of-need to see the Dr. about your foot. One of those things... good luck with your errands.

Rae- I totally get what you mean about food expenses for pets. But we do it gladly if it means they have long lives. Dog food is always on my list for Christmas. Thankfully, the dogs don't have food allergies.
I am so sorry to hear that the TBI will not get better. :( She seems happy when she is with you and that is what matters at this point. And who knows what medical discoveries will bring. Sad but necessary that NHL and NFL players are donating their brains, but the research is needed.

Morning, all. A front came through early this morning but no rain or snow... just high winds. Another front will be here late tonight. No wonder the foot is aching again.

I managed to get my errands ran yesterday. Bills mailed out, library book checked out, and got my hair cut... Most of the perm was finally cut off and I am back to my regular style of a modified pixie cut that is so easy to take care of - just wash, hand comb and go! :D I stopped at the store to get a pair of shoes like DD#1 had but my size hurt my bad foot and they didn't have a half size up.

WOW, Chris... that is a lot of snow!!! So sorry about the trees breaking and power outages. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Rae, I couldn't find you as a FB friend... but that could be due to not knowing your FB name. Send me a PM with your FB name and I will recheck and 'friend' you if needed.

I have a couple more errands to do today and hope to get them done before the weather turns bad.

good morning - my rehab is progressing and I finally got to a Devils game. It was so nice to be at a game but my poor Devils what a day. The Devils lost on Sat to their arch rivals the Rangers but then on Monday they lost to the Sabres 7-1. And then last night they were to play the Golden Knights a really really good team. Well just hours before the game started they fired the head coach and named the assist as interim head coach. Our GM said that he has never seen a team where all the players are playing below their expectations. Well the team played well until the 3rd period as always. But the guys were I am sure running on emotions and the second of a back to back. So they lost 4-3 but they did not give up they kept playing which is different than before. But as I say it was so good to be back at the Rock and watching hockey live. After the game the guys in the room only had great things to say about the coach so then why did they play so poorly. Oh well. I finally got my medicare supplemental insurance selected and applied for and the prescription drug plan too. That is such a relief off my mind. I read about people who have no insurance and I just don't understand. I would be crazy with worry the whole time. Also found out that only advantage care and prescription plans must be done during the enrollment period but supplemental can be change at any time. I did not know this. Today going out with my girlfriend for dinner so that will be fun!

Chris we had and still have snow on the ground but it does not seem to have bothered my knees at all. We were so lucky that we got ice but then it warmed to rain so when the snow finally came the ice was gone. I hope you don't get any more snow and all this mess goes away fast. So glad that Cait is doing better. Glad she is seeing things more rationally. But I am sure it is still hard.

Trudy as bad as my Devils are the Bruins are amazing. I am sure your MG is one happy hockey fan. Shopping can really make one grumpy especially but at least you got it done. Bet going to the pool helped. I cant wait to see the calendar and the tiles. Such cool presents.

Rae that is so wonderful what you do with B. I love seeing the bird photos. You inspired me to do a December project recounting how I got into bird watching/photography and showing some of my favorite bird photos. Sounds like you have the decorating all sorted. Have fun!

Kay so glad you got your errands done and had such fun with DD. That in interesting that you have to renew your license each year. Glad at least it is free. I am going to look into Linda Howard books. I am looking for something new.

Have a great day all!

Back again... I forgot to answer the question about type of books Linda Howard writes... it is mixture of love and suspense.

It is now raining so will wait until it stops before I run errands.

Morning O-zies! It is grey and rainy today, so glad that I decided not to hike today! Got lots done yesterday, but sadly no scrapping!! The calendar is coming along and only a few more pages to do, then I can get it printed and be done with it! I really love giving them for gifts, but I don't know why I don't just do a page each month during the year and then it wouldn't be so stressful!! Ok I will stop complaining about my calendars I am sure you are all sick of hearing it!! Today will be another busy one with some cards to make and more painting on my turtle. Hope to spend more time here with the Christmas Party, there is so much to see in the gallery!! Everyone is so creative!

Chris - So happy to hear that Caitlyn is not hurting so much about the break-up, it makes sense to not stay with someone you know is not "The One"!! Hope your cleaning job goes well today and how nice that you are giving Brenden a gift! Hope that the shipping is not to costly! I cringe every time I go to the post office, good thing I only ship one parcel to each of our kids for Christmas! You sure did get a good dump of snow!! Sure hope your Japanese Maple is not damaged from that heavy wet white stuff! That is the kind of snow we usually get and its no fun to shovel!!

Kay - Glad to hear that you did not get any snow with the front that moved in to your area! Hope that your foot is not bothering you too much today! Too bad about the shoes!! Gotta love a easy care hairdo!! Wish mine was like that! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Nancy - Yes DH is over the moon happy with his Bruins! He had to miss seeing last nights game as it was his work's Christmas Party, but he is enjoying all the wins for sure! I am sorry that your Devils are not playing well, but so happy to hear that you are back to seeing the games at the Rock again! What a good idea to do a December project about your birding! I look forward to seeing your pages!!

Alright Heather, Hunter and Mason have already face timed with me and it was for almost an hour LOL. I am behind the eight ball again and better get my butt in gear! Also slept in until almost 8am so I am really far behind in my morning chores. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good morning ladies. I'm swamped with desk work so super busy today and not a lot of time to be online. I'll come back later and look thru the personals.

Just from the quick look I took.....

Chris - wow, look at that snow....we have rain. Glad C is ok and you're such a good support system for her. I've read most of Linda Howard books, they are easy reading and good.

I'll be back later but I need to get a lot of work done this morning. Back later....

Hello girls, I never come yesterday as it was planned for after the movie, but Im fall asleep on it.:-x
Everything I ask on Show me thread happens!!! First I make joke about present and Buddy gives me, then I ask the girls to shows me snow as we didn't have, and then Buddy gave me lot of snow to me at the afternoon, yey! For some of the cats this is the first time they saw snow and they was so adorable and cute with the curiosity of which they taste it and inspect the new beautiful white world. One of the adult spend lots of time on the window to watch how snow fall. I had an adorable day!
Today I was able to scrape, which also was nice. But except that, days are so short so there is not much happens.

Chris, forgive me if this is rude, but actually I'm happy that Cait split off from him. The school love can't give to beauty as her standart she deserve! Her true love is someone of these Suits/Mr. Big as at the TV series for New York City. From the moment you told me that you actually live near to NY, I know her happiness is there. I realize how painful is one relationship to broke after so many years invested in it, but on her age single woman in NY is so exciting!!! Can be best only from single woman in London!
About the mouses, I just hope they aren't as cats which can find the way back home!
Hope the washing machine be repaired today!
Christmas gift for you, hmm

?!
Sorry that the cold bored you so much!

Kay, first I had to make one note for old post: your fence is so fancy, I want brick fence too! It's amazing how many tasks you have crossed at this bad weather, bravo girl!

Nancy, yay for watching the game live!!! So soon, you rock! And sounds dynamic and intrigued. This with the insurances sounds me very frustrating and complicate. At my country all pay the same basic health tax, as every procedures have additional taxes only when/if you needs from it.

Trudy, 'Oh I'll do a 'one of something' each month during the year' is a brilliant idea, which looks as possible only at December  !

Jean, how was the Chinese restaurant? What gift you took to the cat? I search for these toys which gives treats if they push them, for fat cats play. How's your 52 projects going? I'm lazy, but nerves to do it on time at the same time.

Rae, wish you successful day. dear!

O ho, who was came here! Buddy, it's pleasure to see you here! Will I be mistaken if I assume that the party chating thread miss to you this year?! I was surprised to no see it, too. Kind of disappoint.

Today was nothing special and now snow to speak of. The Chinese restaurant yesterday was nice and it's always a great group. Had leftovers for lunch today. We got the cutest little mice for the evil cat. They contain catnip which she doesn't care about but they are so sweet. Her favorite toys apparently (as we never see her play as she hides or runs off when we visit) are two old crocheted rats made by DH's aunt. So more rodents for the family! One is tan with hints of moose, the other gray with mule accents. (See them here https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/holiday-tails-merry-moose-and-mule-cat-toy-set )

Chris, you always want things that keep you warm, anything like that needed? I agree with Felis about C and B, at least to a degree. So sorry you got not only snow but the bad kind. Sure hope that tree is OK.

Kay, you will be so surprised to get a new monitor, eh? That is so nice too. Hope your weather isn't to bad and the foot feels better.

Nancy, DH commented this morning about the Devil's coach and I wasn't surprised. Always easiest to fire the coach, but sounds like they really weren't playing right under him. At least you get to see them at the Rock again! Hurray for your improvement. Hope the knee pain will be all gone now (or soon). Love the thought you're doing a bird album.

Trudy, hope staying home from the hike gave you time to get lots done, especially the calendar pages. I am facing putting the family history newsletter together and the days just keep racing by. At least I have lots of things to report. The tiles sound like another winner project.

Rae, hope being busy with work is good for the budget and lets up a bit later in the month. So glad you're getting to play with the new camera and the birds.

Buddy, lovely to have you drop in. The party is such fun.

Felis, wow, it is so good to see you enjoying the party and watching the cats and kittens with snow. About the Project 52 - I need three weeks in October and have two of them put together, but without writing. When (if?) I get them done, I have to start again from last Dec. 9th.
