This might have to be a quick one, Catzilla is being a PITA again. It might not be as bad if she were a small cat but she is very large (with a teeny head) so her body take up most of my desk when she is all spread out. I keep trying to put her in an empty box (no, I am not trying to ship her out anywhere but it might be nice-- who wants a cat? :p) but she will not stay in it.

I did survive my day yesterday, thank goodness for coffee. But I didn't get as much done as I would have liked. But the yard is done for the winter- if any more leaves blow over, they are just going to have to stay.
And some of the outdoor decorations are done too.

Off to the Mall today. Yuck!!!!! But I am going to meet up with my mom for lunch. I wish I knew what to get people!
But my goal is to finish my friends' two kids, Scott's GF, something for Cait and maybe some sticking stuffer things at Christmas Tree shop. The rest will have to be done online.

I wish there really was a Santa!!!!

Laurie- how was your first day back at work? You can hide the chocolate at my house ;)

Nancy- that popcorn maker sounds absolutely PERFECT!!!

Phyllis- that is too funny! My Mom thinks the same thing about gifts and doesn't listen to a word I have ever said about my kids not needing so much stuff LOL
Hope that your stomach and UTI feel better today.

Trudy- hoping that you are feeling better today! Can't wait to see the ironing board when you are done with it.
What are you getting Mason for Christmas?

Laurie- that is too funny! When I was first staying home with Scott as a baby, I tired to make some extra $ doing those craft assembly projects (total scam BTW). They would send me the parts, I would assemble and then send them back. Your comment brought that right back to me.

Hi Tracey! Nice to see you in the Oooos. OMG- I went on a trip to the Museum of Nat History in NYC with my son's Bio class when he was a sophomore. Never, ever again. It was a nightmare! The teacher had us head count as we left each area, we had a 2 page Scavenger Hunt to complete on all 4 floors of the museum, *and* we were only there for 90 minutes. But I only lost one kid in the process. My own. haha!!!!!!!
Hope that you can get to see her w/o being responsible. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Morning O fam- Morning Chris! First day back went okay. Today promises to be a full day, but I do not have to grocery shop when I come home. Tomorrow I will have to head to town to finish paperwork, and to get my haircut. Tonight I plan to work on cards while I veg to television!

Chris, do you have oak trees in your yard? those guys NEVER drop all their leaves, which drives me nuts. my huband planted all these Pin Oak trees over the years, and most of them STILL have most of their leaves. which always means that Spring will be just like Fall. did you sleep better last night?

Hi, Tracey! thanks for the tip. if i ever get my scrapping mojo back, i'll try it!

Laurie. re: putting your cards together

no.

honestly, it's all i can do to get mine going. i was so on top of it this year because i got all the designing and some of the printing done LAST year!

Trudy, can't wait to see you latest painting project! did that bear painting you did for one of your relatives work at keeping the bears away?

it's crazy warm here, for some reason. like 53 degrees today. but then it's going to plunge in the days ahead, with my favorite, an ICE STORM on Friday, so they say. i'm just praying for good weather for Christmas travel. not much going on here today. laundry, a few errands. i might begin THINKING about emptying out my closet to get at the Christmas decos. just THINKING, mind you....

Happy Wednesday! do as much of "whatever i want to do" as possible! :becky:

good morning well I did go out shopping yesterday and I feel I should now be very comfortable at the outdoor hockey game. I got a down jacket and then a shell coat to go over that and then new fangled long underwear. Of course I also got hand warmers and foot warmers. My girlfriend said you that means it will probably be 60 degrees and I laughed because I know I am prepared. Got in a good walk as temperature is pretty nice. I will be heading off to Staples to get my calendars printed. That will make me happy.

Chris glad your day worked out well. Have fun with your mom even if it is at the mall.

Phylis I too am wondering what is up with the weather. Our temps are warmer than normal but I think we are only expecting rain on Friday. Then the cold comes. And I love the idea of doing as much as you want! Have fun

Laurie glad work went well and grocery shopping. Have fun with cards while you veg in front of TV.

Trudy painting on that ironing board is such a cool project! Seems like you are feeling much better. The Devils play those Habs again tonight. I am hoping for a much different outcome!

Tracey so nice to see you here. I took a group of my son's friends to the Liberty Science Center for an 8th grade field trip and I knew all these kids. But OMgosh boys just are the worst. The could not stand in line without poking each other. I had such a headache by the end. I found out I would not be a good teacher LOL. I hope your trip turns out well.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies.... brrrrr!!! it is very cold this morning with a heavy frost on everything! Last night I brought the hummingbird feeder in because I knew that it would freeze solid if I left it out overnight. Well this morning when I put it back outside, two hummingbirds landed on it before I even got it hung on the hook!!! Poor things, but they didn't care if I was standing right there or not they wanted nectar!!!! So strange that they stay all winter here, if I was a bird I would always be somewhere warm!!

Chris - Glad you got your time outside yesterday, its always good to be out in the fresh air, even it means doing something as annoying as raking leaves :becky: Ugghh on going to the mall today, but at least you get to see your mom! As for Mason's present, well we purchased a Jumperoo for him, he has an excersaucer already but he can't jump in it, so grandma thought that he might like to get some fun jumping time!! He is getting so big and is rolling over and soon will be crawling. He is 6months old today, can you believe it???

Laurie - I was going to get my cards started in front of the T.V. last night too, but it never happened, got caught up in watching "Person of Interest" that MG had PVR'd last week. So maybe tonight?? Hope your day at work goes smoothly!!

Phylis - That bear that I painted was on a huge compost bin that my BIL had made and it did not keep the bears away, that very night after I finished painting it a big black bear knocked it right over and rolled it down the driveway!!! :becky: BIL couldn't believe it, because they had never really bothered with it too much before. So I think it attracted the bears instead of keeping them away :pound: BIL ended up bolting it into the ground and all is good now. I am going to try to do the whatever I want to do thing today!!

Nancy - Sounds like you are all set for your outdoor hockey game!! I used to have to take my son Jason to all his hockey games and practices. In the one place we lived at on the prairie, they had a natural ice rink. Well you may as well have been sitting outside in the -25 weather!!!! I hated that rink!!! Didn't bother the kids though LOL. I'll be cheering for your Devils tonight!!!

Tracey - Nice to see you here in the Daily's!! Hope your chaperone trip goes well and the kids actually listen to you!!

Well a full day of things that I love to do today, scrapping, painting and oh ya, I have a hair appt. today. Can't wait to get this mop cut!! My bangs are hanging in my face and that darn grey is peaking out at me again!! Who's grey hair is that anyway?? It couldn't possibly be mine :becky: Enjoy your day everyone!!

Trudy, that gray hair must be MINE!!! how'd it get all the way over to the west coast?? :pound: that is so cute about the hummingbirds! i understand WHY they stay where you live all year round. compared to where I live, your climate is positively WARM!

Nancy, where's the outdoor game? is this one of those outdoor NHL games? i was always happy that most of the rinks in the USA, where kids play, are heated in the stands. when my son was young, his team played up in Toronto, in the suburbs. the rink wasn't heated at all. we American parents were all such WIMPS about it!

Phylis yes the outdoor game is one of the Stadium series. It is the Devils vs the Rangers on Jan 26 at 12:30 pm. It is at Yankee Stadium. All the kids are going and we are all super excited! They outdoor rink that the high school plays on is not heated but they have a warming room where you can go to obviously warm up and get hot chocolate! My favorite thing in the winter is the hot chocolate! And yes we American are wimps.

Heather that online meeting of people can be scary. I live in NJ so if he needs help let me know.

I'm still sitting here giggling over Catzilla LOL

The last week or so has just been "Meh" for me. I wasn't sure what was causing it, the doctor thought maybe my phosphorus levels being too low were the cause but now I'm thinking it was a virus because Brent is feeling the exact same way. I just felt completely without energy and just not myself at all! He's been feeling that way all day....my only reply when he started in about how he felt was now you know I wasn't kidding last week when he just couldn't understand what I meant. At least it seems to be gone but I'm having to play major catch up which I hate! I hate not being caught up on laundry and things of that nature, it's like the basket is empty and I'm happy and then I turn around and it's a mountain of dirty stuff again :yell: Who is wearing all these clothes?

I work tomorrow and then on Friday I finally get my hair done! Weeeeee! I can't wait for that! It's so past due! My poor hair dresser hasn't seen me since my birthday in March, LOL! I will feel like a new woman and will never go this long again!

Hope everyone is slowly getting ready for the holidays! I will get my house ready this weekend while I'm off from work and I will be glad when it's done :)
