This week is flying by and I am nit sure why it even matters but I feel it racing away.

I am still working on getting the house back together so there is that. And after all of that work that I did deleting fonts, I screwed something-- maybe-- because the font in my email was gone, according to Thunderbird but it was still on my computer. I did a System Restore and restored the fonts in the Recycle Bin and it is ok not but what a waste of time. :rant:

Food shopping today, and I feel so unprepared, more than usual. I guess as long as we have coffee we will be ok.

I might be heading out tonight too. BFFATS texted me last night that our friend down the street wants us to come over. Hopefully, it won't be too late and that I am not too tired. *fingers crossed*

nancy- the weather has been warm enough to get to a dog park, was it a muddy mess, though? Not that the dogs mind hehe!
I am sorry to hear about your son's friends dad.

Rae- the house to yourself... ahh, heaven!!!
I use ACDSee to organize my uninstalled fonts but I was using nexus for deleting them. Do you know if it will prevent you from uninstalling System fonts?I was trying to be very careful to not delete anything from Microsoft, but after a while, everything looked the same. bet you needed that nap- 2 hours. wow. You really have been pushing yourself for the last couple of months.

Trudy- oh no! All of this time being so excited to be with DS and the grands for Christmas and the kids too sick to enjoy it. *fingers and toes that you and YMG don't catch it*

good morning - my poor Devils just cannot manage to get out of their own way. They lost to the Penguins 5-2. One thing goes wrong and they just cannot get passed it and it is down hill from there. They are now last in the east. My son could not make it so my DH and I went. He is fun to go with because we play Trivial Pursuit before and during intermissions. We ended with a tie. It is fun to have the game on my phone so we can play anywhere. Luther had good walks so that was fun. Then this am I am home alone as both boys are back to work. Luther and I went out this morning and as we walked past Bella house her owner called out and said to bring Luther to back yard so the dogs had a great time just running and playing. So now he is resting. I did not get much of a walk but he sure had fun!

Chris this week really is flying by. My house still needs to get some order. Good luck at the store. I may have to go too not looking forward to it.

Rae so glad that your holidays were so good! Glad that your work load is manageable. That is great news about the computers and I bet that Bailey can hardly wait.

Trudy OMgosh that is so sad that the kids were sick over the holidays. I am glad that you did not get it! I love hearing that men are enjoying cooking. My son and DH like trying new recipes and that is fun! And yes I am enjoying the World Jrs. Was fun seeing both Denmark and Switzerland upset the more favored teams Czechs and Finns. Today I am hoping my team defeats the Slovaks.

Good morning, ladies. It sure seems weird to be typing on my little laptop instead of my office PC. We took the computers in last night. Mine should be ready in a few days and Baileys will be ready around the 10th. We are waiting for a monitor for her as the shop we are getting it from is closed next week. That works out ok though b/c then i can get mine set up, get pse15 installed and have a bit of time to start learning it so I can help her with it.

I've got a full day of work to finish up the one client and then will be done with her work til second week of January. The other client still has a few files to send over but hasn't yet so am expecting those today or tomorrow. It was nice to spend the evening in the LR with Taz and my hubs instead of in my office working after dinner. Taz loved it, he kept staring at me and gently tapping my leg, to come down on the floor and play with him LOL. I kept trying to sit at my computer desk in the corner and he would come over and sit right beside it and stare at me so of course I had to go play with him. I can't resist, he is so adorable. if the rain holds off this afternoon I think I'll take him over to the dog park for a bit.

Chris - what a hassle about the fonts. Yes, I knew about not deleting system fonts. I agree, the week is flying by. A few more days and it's a new year. This last month just flew by for me.

Nancy - how fun for Luther to have a doggy friend nearby. I still miss having Taz play with the Lab across the street. It was so convenient to just cross the street and into the backyard for them to play together. Unfortunately, Bruin is now fully grown and is a bit too powerful, too pushy for Taz. Bruin gets excited and slams into Taz too hard so now Taz keeps his distance.

Trudy - that really sucks about everyone getting sick over Xmas. Still nice to spend time together but not quite the same of course. Hope you continue to avoid the sickie bug going around.

The house is quiet. Darrell is still sleeping and Taz is curled up on the couch. I'll grab a coffee refill and get some work done. Have a great day, everyone.

Morning O-zies!! Poor DH slipped on the driveway this morning while taking the garbage to the curb. OUCH!! He called me just a few minutes ago to say that he was hurting, sore arm and backside. I big jolt for an old guy! He says nothing broken, but he is pretty sore! Called to tell me not to try to go pick up the cans until late this afternoon when hopefully the ice is melted. I guess it rained during the night and it quickly turned the driveway and road into a skating rink.

Chris - Hope you have fun at your friends house tonight!! Enjoy a nice glass or two of wine and have a nice visit! Yes the week is flying by and one good thing about not having much decorating done over the holidays is that I don't have that much to put away!! :becky:

Nancy - Ugh sorry that your Devil's can't seem to get over their mistakes!! Hopefully they will improve at the next game! How fun to be able to play trivial pursuit on your phone, I will have to look at getting that one when I get an upgrade on my iPhone, right now I don't have enough storage to do anything extra on it :sad: My son would love that too as he is real avid trivial pursuit fan!! What fun for Luther to have a play mate, nice that he is getting social time with other dogs and lots of exercise too!!

Rae - Yes it really did suck that the kids were sick over Christmas, but what can you do? :noidea: How nice that you will have all this new stuff to play with on your computer! I bet Bailey can hardly wait for her computer to be installed!! Funny that Taz wants you to just be his play mate and of course how could you resist those sweet puppy dog eyes!! LOL So far DH and I have not gotten the flu bug, but poor hubby is now in a lot of pain from his fall. I will check on him later today to see if I can get him anything to help him out. Hope you manage to get your work done early today!

Had such a nice talk to Heather and Mason in the midst of typing this up... hence the reason I am so very late arriving in here today! I will make a run to grocery store, then looking for a new bedspread at Wayfair.ca big boxing week sales, hopefully I can find something that I like! Have a great everyone! :wave:
