It is Hump Day and that means... nothing. Absolutely nothing.
My day was a bit more productive than the day before but I still struggled to get stuff done. It doesn't help that every area of my house is a mess. Literally every area. My bathroom isn't cluttered but it could use a decent scrubbing.
My brain, on the other hand, could use a decluttering *and* a scrubbing. heh.

I was able to cross off baking the dog treats so that is one less thing to worry about. I have one more batch of cookies to make before Cait and I go all-in on Tuesday for our full day of baking. I never made it around to wrapping gifts. My ankle/foot/tendon is in bad shape and I am trying to not make it worse by standing too much. In case you are wondering my success rate on that- it is a giant *FAIL*
I was able to sort out my purchases and I figured out what it was that I ordered and forgot what it was. I feel bad that no one really got anything exciting or fun. I might be able to poke around Amazon today and maybe be able to find a few more small things - with Prime shipping I might be able to get them in time

Ray had another decent day, sleeps most of the time but still enjoys getting treats and food.

Today I will be making sure everything is charged, candles are handy, and will hope that we don't lose power. I should print out the crochet patterns I am using in case I can't use my computer. Depending on the forecaster, we are getting anywhere from 12" to 20" of snow. Gary heard up to to 24" but that might have been an outlier. *fingers crossed* Either way: :hurt:

Still no scrapping. The mojo is 100% gone.

Have a fab day, O-zies!

Felis- I remember talking to you about this in the past- how my grandparents would have the Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. It is a good thing that isn't celebrated in my house, the smell of fish makes Caitlyn throw up. :puke: I hope that you and your family can visit and celebrate with each other.
It isn't surprising that you mentioned Ravyn's pack. I was talking to her yesterday about how she will get to see Harley, that her sister was waiting for her. I warned her not to chew her ears this time. Harley had the cutest ears, one stood up, the other flopped over. When we adopted Ray, she chewed her ears and gave her hematomas, one required surgery the other we just let heal on its own. But her sweet and silly ears were no longer. We joke that Harley's ears healed at the Rainbow Bridge and if Ray chews on them again, I am gonna be mad. hahaha! Livvie it doing really well, sneezing is already subsiding and she is climbing all over the place, the surgery only slowed her down for a couple of days. Thank you for the hugs!

Kay- how is the cold? Hope that it is a short-lived one. Yes, we are going to get dumped on by a lot of snow and I am not happy about it. It looks like the sleet/ice will stay south of me, hopefully not near Nancy though. You stay warm too!

Nancy- I never thought that the Electoral College voting would be a newsworthy "thing." SMH. Will DH be able to stay home the next few days too? The only good thing about lockdown is that no one has to drive anywhere. I try to do a mix of bags and wrapping paper. The dogs get so excited unwrapping them. I will happily send all of my snow to you- what is another 15" on top of your 8-12" *G*

Trudy- glad that you are still able to go swimming, It has to be so good to get out of the house and do something healthy! Good luck with your commission, try not to lose too much sleep over it (says the woman who freaked out about a wonky scarf she made for her mom!)

Rae- How did Taz do at the vet, all good? Thanks for the sauce recipe! Do you use linguine or do you buy Chinese noodles? Scott loves the chili-ginger paste but since it is too hot for me, I use it sparingly, and then he can add more at the table. I bet I could make that up with veggie stock and cook the meat separately.

Cheryl- I am laughing about Ava and Auntie Chris! M family hears all about your guys too and back at the beginning of the O, I think they thought it was odd but they love hearing about you all. Feel free to tell her that if Grandma approves of Trey, then I will too. More importantly, I am Ok with Trey since Daisey likes him and he loved Daisey. I don't think I could ever trust a guy who didn't like dogs. ;)
OMG- I just read a farther line down and I see your list of "musts." ITA with them!
More laughing at what Cameron said on FB. Caitlyn dated her last BF for 6 (7??) years. When he broke up with her last year, she was terrified to tell my mom. She knew Grandma was going to be :mad2: She didn't tell my mom until she was here and could physically see that Caitlyn was ok. She did her Italian "curse" on him and then gave her a hug. You can see where I get it from LOL

Better sign off, another jam-packed day for me.

xoxoxo!!

Morning ladies... I just couldn't stay away LOL I needed to pop in and say Hello to all of you! I apologize for not catching up with everyone, but I am super busy trying to get this canvas prepped and the colours just right for the painting. I have wasted so much paint trying out different colour combos. I think I have finally got it right. Now to prep the canvas with gesso and let that dry and hopefully I will get to finally do the pour on it! Yesterday's swim was great, hardly anyone in the pool, it was nice to be in the water! My waterproof MP4 player ran out of battery about halfway through my swim, so that was kind of a bummer, but I continued on without the music and now have it charing up for Friday's swim. I need to check today when the pool will re-open after Christmas break. B.C. has started its vaccinations and I wonder how long it will be before DH and I will be able to get ours??

Chris - Oh my gosh I sure hope that you don't get the amount of snow that they are calling for!!! You will be stuck in the house until you can shovel your way out!! Oh wait, we are all pretty much stuck in the house anyway LOL. Keep those candles handy, but hopefully you will not lose power! Probably a great idea to print out your pattern that you are working on, just in case! I hope that after Christmas, your mojo will return to you! Mine too!! I did get my page finally finished for the Border Challenge and need to upload to the gallery this morning. Take care of that ankle and have fun with all the baking that you and Cait are planning to do!

Felis - I hope that my DH will get to try his snowblower at least once this Winter! I love the way everything looks when we have our first big snowfall, so pretty with the snow hanging heavy on the fir tree branches and everything so peaceful and quiet! As long as I can stay inside and not have to shovel it I will be ok with it! I hope that you get to celebrate your Christmas Eve safely with extended family!

Kay - Hope that you are feeling better and that this is just a cold!! Can't see it being anything else as you are very careful and really don't get out much at all to see anyone! Take care of that finger too!! Sure would be awful if it became infected!

Nancy - I heard about the NHL and NFL also and yes many were very upset to think that they would be getting the vaccine before others! Hope what you heard is true that they would never do that! However it isn't against the law for big franchises to purchase the vaccine from the company that makes them. So who knows, we will see! Hope that Luther's limp is better today! Hope you got lots of scrapping done! I will have to get to the gallery to check it out!

Rae - Nice that you are getting out for walks again! I hope that you are doing better and keeping your mind busy! Glad that you don't have too much of a work load right now! Yes I am probably stressing about this painting more than I should. It will come together, it always does. Enjoy your day today with your family!

Cheryl - glad to hear that the boyfriend passed the test! If Daisy loved him then he must be ok!! LOL Hope that the house is in its final stages!! How exciting!

Jean - How is the puzzle going!! Hope that you are having better weather than Chris is about to get!

Ok I am off to do my morning chores and then I will get to the little store downtown that sells the most amazing chocolates. I have to drop off a Norwex order to SIL Linda and would like to give her a little something for Christmas as she is all alone this year. Will pick up some for my sisters too! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies. I will be out later this morning with Jen, need to get more wrapping paper and bags and check the pet store again for the treats they were out of on the wkend. Since they seem to run out of the ones we like, we'll stock up with a few big bags. Taz did well at the vet yesterday (gets his flush every month, poor little guy, always has had a problem with glands) and gained 1/2 lb so is now 26 lbs. I am pretty sure it is the salmon treats that him and Noel constantly bug me about all day. They take turns trying to get my attention and lead me to the pantry LOL.

Today I need to get laundry done and figure out dinner. Last night I had spinach and ricotta lasagne and loved it. It was a nice treat, a little too rich to have all the time but I think I'll get it at least once or twice a month. It's a regular staple at our organic store in the deli section. Yum.

Sounds weird, but I'm going to try a popcorn recipe I found online, popcorn popped in bag in microwave, then spray with coconut aminos and sprinkled with garlic, onion and nutritional yeast. I found my old coffee mill and ground up the yeast into a fine powder so that it sticks better. I'll let you know how it tastes.

I'm going to get to work now so I can keep up this morning and then take a few hrs off at lunchtime to go shopping.

Morning, all. The finger is still very sore but no infection, thank goodness. I check it every day when I change the bandage. No bubbling when using the Hydrogen peroxide on it for the past couple of days. Yes, I am sure it is just a cold...Took a 24 hour med for it yesterday and it only lasted less than 12 hours!!! So am now taking the 4-6 hour med so I can take more when it wears off. I think I got it due to going out with wet hair a few days ago to put patio swing, etc away when a storm was blowing in. Got chilled big time.

Chris, hope you don't get a ton of snow...

Trudy, LOL over you wanting snow so your DH can use the snow blower and drive his truck with the snow tires. Good luck on getting the painting done for your client. She sure waited to the last minute to order it for Christmas.

Cheryl, glad the family likes Ava's boyfriend. Nice that you didn't get a huge snowstorm... enough for you to start getting use to it.

DD is calling... CYL

Hi ladies.

I got a PM from Betty Jo this morning. She asked if I could pass along the message that she did hear from her friend's sister. She passed away last night. I know that you all would want to know and to send her good thoughts.

Betty Jo- may her memory be a blessing

good day - well it is afternoon and no snow. I am disappointed. I watched Anderson Cooper on Live this am and he too said the same thing about weathermen saying snow is coming and then it does not! We walked Luther this am and you could feel the snow and the cold. I did listen to music and I did scrap. I felt good. But I also read a new book by About Tomorrow. It was a short book only 185 pgs. But it was really good. Today I have watched the Perks of Being a Wallflower. It always had good reviews and it was not at all what I expected but I liked it a lot. So now I just await the snow.

Chris I would love to take your snow if there was any LOL. So glad Ray is doing well. So sorry to read that your ankle is acting up on you again. The cold weather is probably not helping. Good idea to make sure everything is charged.

Trudy (I say this gently) don't stress you are great at these paintings. She would not ask you if she did not have confidence in you. We all have confidence in you. Glad the swim went so well. I hope they work it out for Jan.

Rae that is good news about Taz and the vet. We are always stopping at the pet store about treats.

Waving to all!

Hi my lovelies.

Chris, now I'm laughing at your mom putting the Italian curse on the ex! We still laugh about Cam putting the threat of his mean grandma on FB. ROTF I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks about the "CT Family". They love to hear stories.

Yes girls - Trey passed all of the tests so far. He said he was from a loud family too and that we didn't scare him. Haha Ava told him that if you want to be heard, you just talk louder than everybody else.

Yes, I'm glad we didn't get anymore snow than we got - break it in gently. It's about gone.

Rae, Ava makes popcorn that it similar to what you're talking about. She puts all kinds of seasonings on it and it's really good.

Kay, good news about your finger! Here's hoping it continues to improve.

Trudy, I'll bet you're going to be working hard on that canvas. Can't wait to see it.

Gotta run - I have to work on a project for Ava for Christmas - not digital. UGH

Hugs to all.
