It is crunch time and things are blowing up like mad around here. :boom:

:)

I told Caitlyn this morning that I hate Christmas which of course "offended" her. I go through this every year. It isn't that I hate Christmas per se, just this point where so much needs to get done and I have too many irons in the fire and all I want to do is stick one in my eye and be done with it. heh!!

I scored really big at the Thrift store, I got a lot of frames for $5. Really nice ones too. Then I got some cute things for the rats, the wine for the gift baskets and then the air plant for Scott. But whenI got home I spent an hour fighting with the one basket that is due on Sat. I didn't have one that was the right shape, then the shrink wrap was crummy, so I have to head back over to the thrift shop again today. Blergh! After I gave up on that, I went through the frames, marked out what sizes I needed for them, edited them to be the right size. I got to Walgreens.com -- down for Maintenence!

Do you ever have one of those days where you are constantly swimming upstream? How the heck do salmon do it???

I still can't find the missing gifts and my glasses. My tweezers disappeared last week too, and my eyebrows are getting a bit more Italian looking. I love my heritage, but c'mon ;)

Today I get to pay bills! Wooo hoo!!!!! And then I get to clean for my neighbor, so at least I can feel like I have accomplished something. SMH!!!!

Hope that all of you have a spectacular day!!!

good late morning - I completely missed posting on Tuesday. It was busy with walks for Luther and made an appt for doggie day care tomorrow, grocery shopping and got my flu shot, cooked lasagna and cleaned. Whew! Now today we had a great morning walk and saw and played a good 15 min with Magnum. The owners love Luther and told me to ring the bell when we walk by and Magnum will be out to play. How cute is that. Today is just sit back and relax, if one can do that with a dog LOL.

Chris it is always a bummer when you lose a post. It is not Christmas you dislike but the expectations that come with it. Poor Cait she probably just does not understand yet. Glad you some things accomplished!

Rae wow that has been a lot of snow accumulation! Hope the back survived the shoveling. I hate more than anything when you have dug out your drive way and the snow plow fills it back up with disgusting snow and you have to redig out the drive way! Hope you got good news from your computer guy about your new computer.

Have a great day all!

Think I missed yesterday too. Can't remember. Anyway, we got our out of town gifts mailed and at least got stamps for sending cards and a family newsletter that isn't done yet.

See, Chris, just let Cait see all the stuff we plan and then can't seem to accomplish for the holiday at least in a timely manner. Hope your day goes better than the last. I can usually recover "lost" posts, but not a recent long one. Arrgh!

Nancy, how nice to have Luther fans along your route! Hope you're having a great day.

Everyone else too!

WOW!!! I forgot was bone chillin' cold felt like! I was reminded when I had to go out this morning and do errands. The wind was blowing the snow so bad it was like a white out and the wind chill factor was minus ONE!!!! Yeah, that is bone chilling cold!! And I had to get gas, and you KNOW how that wind blows through those overheads. Yeah, I didn't think I had a face left by the time I got in the car.

But, now I am home; a hot bowl of chili by my side and a steaming hot cup of Andes Peppermint Chocolate coffee by my other side. This lady is not even sticking her nose out the door anymore today-----or tomorrow-----or the next day!!!

So, snuggling down in my recliner and off to check out what is happening around the O!! For those of you in this bitter freeze belt; stay warm!!!!! HUGS HUGS!

Good afternoon, ladies. Busy day here. Got Taz off to daycare, went to get gas as I was on empty and we couldn't get the gas cap off, it was frozen solid. I had to get one of the gas guys to come out and pry it open which took about 10 minutes in 15° weather and of course he had no coat on...poor guy. I've been working a lot today b/c the overload work has started and will continue until middle of next week so my internet and scrapping time is going to suffer for it. I just keep telling myself, its a few extra bucks to make up for the loss of income in January when I will have a lot more time to scrap and relax.

Good news from my computer guy. He faxed over the specs to the computer company, I will get his discount, and they will have the system built early next wk. Then I need to pick it up and deliver it out to my computer guy, along with my current computer to reset to factory to give to Bailey, and he'll get mine set up and compartmentalize the drives and stuff. So....fingers crossed....I will be picking it all up on the 23rd or 24th. It'll seem weird not to have my main PC next week but I do have another computer upstairs so can still get online with that. I'll be busy anyway so scrapping won't be high on my list next week.

So far I've been recovering ok from all the shoveling, feeling stiff and sore, but not anything serious. I've got to get out there soon and chip away at the ice/snow at the end of the driveway. It is frozen solid and had a hard time getting my car up and over it as I backed out this morning to take Taz to daycare. But no more snow falling which is good. Darrell's truck is not going anywhere soon as the snow/ice is still on that side of the driveway and there's no way of digging all that out since it is frozen. It'll have to wait for the temps to drop and start to thaw out. Today it is 18....too cold for me. But I am happy there is no rain. I do like that perk from the freezing temps we have. Looks like the coldest days are coming at the end of the week. Yikes.

Chris - hope you find that stuff soon. I totally get it about Xmas. I am sick of the money/time issue too and am determined to slow things down this year, not spend as much and not do as much. Low key is my motto right now.

Waving hi to both Nancy's and Trudy who is off basking in the sunshine right now. Gotta go grab a bite to eat and get back to work.

It's late at night; 8 degrees outside and suppose to snow all night. Will someone tell me again why I moved back to Michigan from South Carolina?????

Rae, take it easy with that shoveling!!! Its no fun!! I have a wonderful tenant in the front apartment and her boyfriend comes over every time it snows and shovels us out.

Nancyr: How cute that Luther has friends along his walk route. Loved that layout about the trouble he gets into. He's an awesome dog!!!

Chris: The salmon don't do it! They get caught!! :heh:
