My oh my, it has been a long time since I had been able to start the thread here! It feels like it has been a long time even since I have had time at home.

Super-quickly, the vacation was exhausting but made me happy to see the kids having fun. We did a lot of driving, so I wasn't thrilled to have to be doing more yesterday. But the really good news is that all went well with Gary's picc and he did his first infusion last night. Now we need to find where to get the Rx cheaper than our phamacy. Its not covered by insurance at all so we looked online for Canada Drugs and even there is is $30/vial which is one dose. So we need to do more digging but it has to be done. What's another $1000 or so on the credit card, right? :hurt:

Side note in the saga of everything always being wonky for us:
Gary had been fighting with the pharmacy to get his Doryx covered. Its not on his plan but he had a letter from the Doryx manufacturer and a special card that gives him a $25 co-pay. The pharmacy kept kicking it back so he left all of his information at the pharmacy on Monday so they could work on it. We needed to leave for the hospital at 8 am, and at 7 am he realized that the pharm. still had his insurance card. So that was another aggravation that had to be figured out. And this was after he picked a fight with me the night before and then said that he was cancelling the b/c I was being mean. Ha!!!

It was so quiet here without Scott. He is down the shore with his friend and won't be back until either next Mon or Tues. I am really missing that dude. I don't know how you moms do it when they move away :(

I am off to work in a bit, then I have to go food shopping or we are going to be eating mayo and ketchup on stale bread for dinner.

Chris, hope things have/will settle down for you soon. as always, you amaze me. re: missing the kids when they leave. honestly, there will come a time when it just feels like the right thing to do for everyone. i believe that's the natural evolution of things. as long as kids remain home, the parent/child thing remains, even if the "child" is 35 years old. and, to me, that's not a good thing. everybody deserves the opportunity to try their wings.

i wish i had an idea for a page in my head. i am really in a bad place with pagemaking! there's nothing there. so i'm gonna have to try to force it. which i'm not at all good at. bleh.

other than trying to force a page today, i don't have much going on. clearing out all the spent perennials outside, getting out the leaf blower and clearing off the patio and driveway of "tree stuff." ( i have a hemlock tree that likes to drop stuff all over the place, usually on my driveway,) maybe a trip to the mall to Crate and Barrel to see what i can find to use my 15%off coupon. i'll probably end up buying a spatula or something exciting like that....

Hi Laurie!! You have been busy already. All I have been able to do is drink coffee. I am moving slowly for sure.

pina colada wine? Sounds interesting as well as much deserved after all of that cleaning.

Phyllis- Dr's appt? Hope all is well with you. But yeah, dr appts at the end of the day suck.

Nana- hugs!!!! I would offer to trade you 4 teens for tow little ones, and then thought-- 4 teens are way easier!!! hope today is a calmer one for you.

Clara-- brave girl cleaning the kids' rooms but SMART!! Always do it when they are not around LOL I listen to podcasts while I clean, def. keeps me from getting bored.
Yes- Gary is on 2 grams/day of Rocephin, plus Doryx (doxycycline) then he'll add in Rifampin next week and Tindamax the following. he'll be feeling pretty sick as he herxes through it but that is a good sign. If I could just get him to work on detoxing better it might ease the herx, but he never listens to me on that ugh.

I feel your pain on deleting stuff off on hard drive. But ITA withthe ladies that so much of it is stuff I know I'll never use, mostly lots of freebies when I first started out.

Morning sweet ladies... Late again as usual, but it cooled off so nicely last night, that I slept like a baby and did not want to get out of bed this morning. Tried to scrap last night but called away from the computer again. Not getting much done on here lately and starting to feel badly about it!!

Chris - :hug: to you my friend!! You put up with so much from your whole family and still come out with a positive attitude!! You are my inspiration for patience my friend!! Hope you find the lowest price that you can for Gary's meds!! I bet Scott is having a great time with his friend and don't you worry about him, he will be just fine!!

Laurie - wish I could have gotten something scrapped this morning, but I'm such a sleepy head!! Have a great work day!

Phylis - Read about your nice time with your DD, so happy that you are back to being closer with her!!! It makes my heart happy!! I am with you on not being able to make a page, I just hate that when you sit in front of the computer and its just blank nothingness that's going through your mind!!

Gotta run and get into the shower, darn I really need at least one full day with my O family!! Off to the Rat Race!! Have a great day everyone! :wave:
